Chocolate concrete is one my favourites and always a reminder of my childhood lunchtime treat - chocolate concrete (sometimes with pink custard but I preferred it without!). It's so simple to make so ideal for getting the kids involve.
The cruchier you like it, the longer you leave it to bake! There are so many different variations of this recipe, but after trying a few the one below works perfectly and serves 6. If you're making it for more, just double the ingredients.
Happy Baking!
1.Pre-heat the oven at 170โ
2.Melt the butter in a pan. Place the flour, sugar and cocoa powder in a bowl and mix together
3.Next add the melted butter to the dry ingredients and combine
4. Grease a tray bake and put the mixture in the tin and pat it down until it's level
5.Bake for 15 mins if you like it soft but if you prefer it like real chocolate concrete,
bake for 15mins then turn the oven down and leave it for another 15 mins.
The longer you bake, the crunchier the concrete!!
6.Once done, sprinkle with a little sugar and leave to cool
