VANELLOPE VON SCHWEETZ
She is an iconic cartoon because she understood that her glitch was actually a strength and not necessarily a flaw. She was also very sassy (and funny), yet kind to those she loved.
Plusss, she was a killer driver! And she didn't even know how to drive at first, but she dreamt about it so much, that she did not care to think that it was impossible and I think that's the type of determination we all need to have, even if we "glitch" from time to time.
Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph is a symbol of stubborn optimism, and main-character confidence.
FRANCESCA FRAMAGUCCI-ROBINSON
She is such a positive role model! She always showed a very strong will in terms of what she wanted while keeping a certain grace about herself that made her look sweet and polished at all times, even as a child when people did not appreciate her geeky projects, she kept moving forward.
And as a wife, mom, sister, and daughter-in-law she always lightened up everyone's mood and encouranged them to be their best while being a safe place.
Franny from Meet the Robinsons is curiosity and kindness in human form.
Why Theyโre Both Iconic
Vanellope glitches the rules. Franny rewrites them. One races through candy circuits, the other composes frog symphonies. Both remind us that being โtoo muchโ is exactly enough and that following our paths and passions, even if other's don't get it, is okay.
