We listen to women's needs to provide them with support to achieve their aims. This includes knowledge sharing, supporting feminist research, funding opportunities, amplifying messages through our communications, and facilitating their participation in key international events to influence policymakers.

We aim to end all forms of violence against women and girls, advance women’s economic rights and strengthen their influence and decision-making power. We work with a feminist approach and other values such as inclusion and a commitment to learning. Working collectively, we can propel ourselves to a new world where women and girls can live their best lives.

Last year, 898,619 individuals were indirectly supported through our work. We funded 38 partners representing diverse women’s rights organisations across five countries Of these, we supported 23 partners with £236,741 through new flexible funds – the Her Voice Fund, the Movement Strengthening Fund and Nepal COVID Resilience Grants.

We give money to local partner organisations in our focus countries. Our partnership agreements are based on high levels of accountability and transparency. Through shared responsibility and project programme management, we support partners in their work as well as their financial management and reporting.

So many women, girls, trans and intersex people are still denied their rights and freedoms, while recent progress made in gender equality is under threat. The patriarchal system continues to dominate societies. Misogyny, racism and abuse persist. But feminist movements and courageous activists across the world are rising up. Womankind stands with them.
