coat of arms Visit Breege

Breege beach

πŸ‘‹ Welcome to my charming little hometown located in the northernmost part of Germany near the Baltic Sea. Population: 764. For most people Breege probably is a meaningless little seaside resort. Because I spent my childhood here, I have a deeper connection. For me it's the beloved scent of the sea and baked apples in my Grammie's tiled stove. A leisurely ferry ride to the car-free island nearby. And a relaxing walk in the woods picking mushrooms. If you are looking for peace or enjoyment of the little things in life, take a closer look.

DISCOVER THE NATURE

πŸ–οΈ The natural beach here was and still is my favorite place. In summer for swimming and sunbathing. In winter for long walks inhaling the fresh ocean air or build a warming, crackling bonfire.

ABOUT THE HISTORY

πŸ€“πŸ“– The village of Breege was a Slavic settlement and was first mentioned in 1313. In earlier times it was a fishing base and an important seafaring place. The traditional fisherman's huts and captain's houses still characterize the townscape nowadays.
