Kalich

One of the symbols of the "old" Vinnitsa, the center of all city news, gossip and rumors, the meeting place was once the city market "Kalich". This is the name once bore the current Gagarin Square, which is located in the very center of the city. Here is the Vinnitsa department store and a photo zone for those who want to take a photo as a keepsake.

Central City Park

The favorite place for walks of Vinnytsia residents is the Central City Park. Festivals, concerts, performances by street musicians, sports competitions often take place here. Here is the famous Vinnytsia Arch - one of the symbols of the city of Vinnytsia. It leads to the central park named after Leontovich.

Sadovsky Theater

The museum located inside the building tells about the secrets of behind-the-scenes life, funny and sad historical facts. In 1920, it was here that Hnat Yura and Amvrosii Buchma founded a troupe that became the foundation of the future I. Franko National Theater. Today, the repertoire of the theater impresses both with classical performances and original modern productions.

Water tower

Pride of the city. During its history, the tower in the center of the city has been a waterworks, an outpost, and a fire station. It was designed as a water tower by architect Hryhoriy Artynov in 1912. Now it is one of the symbols of Vinnytsia.

Liverpool Square

On the other side of the central Sobornaya Street is Liverpool Square, where in 2017 a sculpture of the famous Beatles and their Yellow Submarine appeared. There are benches and a red “London” telephone booth in the square, Beatles music plays. Liverpool has been the unofficial name of the square since the 1970s and 80s.

Transfiguration Cathedral

The Transfiguration Cathedral or was erected in the 18th century as the church of a Dominican monastery. In 1832, the complex was transferred to the possession of the Orthodox clergy: the monastery was abolished, and the temple was rebuilt into an Orthodox cathedral. Until 1991 it functioned as an organ music hall. Now it is under the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Complex Vinnitsa Mury

This is a complex of defensive and monastic buildings of the 17th-18th centuries. Today, only part of the brick wall and the corner tower remain from the moors. Urban legends about the Vinnitsa catacombs, dungeons that stretch under the city, are associated with murs.

Fountain Roshen

In the warm season, be sure to look at the light and music fountain Roshen. It is located right in the Southern Bug River next to Kempa Island and the central bridge (Sobornaya Street). The fountain operates in the background from 14.00 to 21.00. Starting at 2:30 pm, every half an hour there are five-minute shows with synchronized music. The main nighttime 3D show on a water-air mixture screen starts every day at 21.05 and lasts an hour.
