Visit Boorloo

A long, long time ago, there was an area called Boorloo, inhabited by a peoples that knew themselves as the Whadjuk Noongar. In 1829, all that changed. That year, colonists moved into the area and dubbed it “Western Australia”.

They founded the settlement of Perthshire.

The longest city in the world

A little city with just under two million people in the middle of nowhere, also the most isolated city in the world. Perth in Western Australia boasts the unofficial title of longest suburban sprawl in the world. Over 150 kilometres (93 miles) and growing.

The quokka (Setonix brachyurus) is a small macropod about the size of a domestic cat. It is the only member of the genus Setonix. Like other marsupials in the macropod family (such as kangaroos and wallabies), the quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal.
