TRAVEL PLANNING

I love to travel, and I’m a travel planning enthusiast. I spend most of my free time planning trips, even if I have nothing booked. This hobby allows me to immerse myself in the world of travel and satisfy my wanderlust even when I’m not physically traveling.

I really enjoy researching and organizing my trips, discovering new destinations, finding the best deals on flights and accommodations, creating itineraries, and exploring different aspects of travel, such as local culture, cuisine, hidden gems and attractions.

MY BEST TIPS FOR YOU TO PLAN YOUR TRIP

Itinerary
  • Do your homework. Learn as much as possible about the destination before you go.
  • Organize your daily itineraries by dividing them into areas.
  • Use Google Maps to make your daily routes. Learn more.
  • Things will not go to plan 100% of the time, so it’s important to learn to go with the flow and enjoy.
Hotels
  • Book in advance.
  • Book with free cancelation.
  • Choose a central location to optimize your time.
  • Look for real photos and visitor reviews.
  • My favorite hotel search tool is Booking.com.
Food
  • Check TripAdvisor and Google Maps to look up restaurant reviews.
  • Avoid eating at restaurants close to tourist attractions.
  • Discover locals suggested restaurants.

MY TOP 3 FAVORITE DESTINATIONS

  • Switzerland

Switzerland was the only place where the immensity of its natural beauty made me cry. A country of mountains, lakes, waterfalls, villages, and attractive cities. Additionally, there are wonderful hotels with outstanding views.

My advice is to use public transportation across the country. The train system between cities, as well as the cable cars, boats, and buses, are extremely efficient, punctual, and easy to navigate on your own. Don't waste your money on car rentals.

  • Orlando, US

As a huge fan of Disney movies and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Orlando is one of my favorite places in the world. This is definitely not a place you can go without planning.

You must plan your days ahead of time to maximize your time in the parks and avoid spending hours in long lines at the attractions. Also, the news and rules of the parks change every month, make sure you're looking for the most recent information.

  • Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon has a captivating charm that makes it one of my favorite cities. In addition, there are gorgeous architecture, panoramic views, delicious food, and wonderful hospitality.

Lisbon is a fairly vertical city. Be cautious if you want to avoid the hills or if you are not physically ready. When a route says it takes 5 minutes to walk, it may actually take you longer if it's uphill.

WHERE'S NEXT?
Japan

My next destination is Japan, and I am extremely excited about it. It has always been a dream for me to visit this country that is so diverse in so many ways.

Planning the itinerary for this trip has been challenging so far. My recommendation is to begin your planning at least six months before your vacation.

First, decide on the duration of your trip and prioritize the regions or cities you wish to visit.

Research the attractions and activities each destination offers, taking into account your interests and preferences.

For food lovers, Japan is truly a paradise. From street food to Michelin restaurants. It is essential to do research in advance on the places you plan to visit.
