When I first thought about learning how to code to build an AI assistant, I believed it was going to be extremely hard, and I didn't feel competent enough to step into it... but of course, I was absolutely wrong. With significant support from the SheCodes team, I completed the "My Dictionary in React" project, a wonderful and challenging experience that required applying all the learning acquired during the course. Throughout the development, I faced several challenges, such as integrating with third-party APIs to fetch dynamic data and adjusting the responsive layout for different devices. The project was a success, allowing users to efficiently and visually pleasingly access word definitions and images. The application was optimized for performance and accessibility, improving my technical skills in React and API integration, as well as enhancing my project management skills and decision-making under pressure. I still have much to learn, practice, and refine, but I am happy with the outcome. I want to especially thank my husband and the SheCodes team for their invaluable support.

It was a hard couple of weeks of learning (in my opinion as the module is densed and packed of learnings) but I wouldn't have gone through it without Shecode's slack support team that really helped me figure out where I did wrong on my homework or when I just don't understand anything at all they're there to help! It was fun and frustrating at the same time but here I am! I did it and I am still pushing on to finish this till the end :)

I have to say, this one was a little more challenging than what we previously covered. But, it was an incredibly rewarding experience. This course pushed my boundaries and expanded my skills in ways I hadn't imagined. Firstly, Matt was phenomenal as always. He is truly an expert in this field and has a knack for explaining complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner. His passion for coding is infectious, and it continues to keep me motivated throughout the course. What I loved most about this class was the challenging part of it, which was to apply everything we learned from the lessons on a project. I really enjoyed seeing everything coming together with each and every style, action and function that got applied. Despite the challenges, the class fostered a supportive learning environment. Definitely a very challenging workshop. It was nice to see how powerful React can be and be able to build a weather app from scratch however, it felt very frustrating and some of the lessons seemed just like bits of random pieces of information. I found a lot of youtube tutorials were actually more helpful. Nevertheless, the team was always there to help and solve approached issues. I am very happy to have this introduction to React but it’s definitely not enough to feel fully comfortable using it.
Thanks to the sheCodes team for helping me learn React, I was able to understand it, how to create components & etc. and I created my first weather project. It was easy and I quickly got the hang of it. I recommend everyone to take this course, because the information is well presented and the explanations. Now I can dive deeper into learning React.

I had joined the She Codes workshop earlier this year and it has been a total eye-opener. The experience has been inspiring in the sense that i was able to learn and challenge myself and what i thought were my limitations. Despite my initial apprehensions, what started of as curiosity and an attempt to get out my comfort zone ,is proving to be a journey of personal growth and purpose. There were times i felt intimidated and way over my head ,but because of the way the lessons were structured i was able to understand , whilst having zero prior experience or knowledge in coding. Matt and his team's supportive approach and the warm atmosphere they created made it easier for me to engage and participate. Because the workshop is self-paced, i felt less pressured by time, the Slack app was a great platform to engage with other students so i didn't feel alone , even the She Codes Athena AI was a great tool for me and other introverts alike. It is truly all-inclusive. I can assure you that it was challenging yet gratifying to apply all the knowledge acquired, as well as my hobbies and patience, to complete this rewarding project. It took me a while to finish this workshop, but now that I did I feel accomplished and happy I pushed through the hard moments. This workshop teaches a lot of great tools and working on the final project of the weather app was enjoyable. I am excited to continue my learning journey, and now move on to React. I am thankful to Matt and all his team.
WOW! I did it! This Workshop was soo helpful in understanding what is actually relevent in the Job Search/Career Kick-Off process. There's so much information out there, so to have someone (Matt) take it step-by-step for me was very clarifying! SheCodes Basics has exceeded my expectations and i'm so happy i discovered it. Before starting i had very little knowledge of coding, and now after a couple weeks i already feel confident with tackling challenges and investigating errors with my own codes. SheCodes is one of the best learning platforms for coding. I myself didn't know anything about coding but I quickly learnt so much about coding in a short period of time, all thanks to Matt and the team. Matt Delac, is an amazing teacher, he breaks everything down so that it can be easy for someone who is a beginner to understand. Also, the challenges/exercises were a great way to exercise and apply what I learnt. This has been an amazing experience, can't wait to learn more. Thank you to the amazing team on slack that is always available to assist us when we have questions or when we are stuck, they have also made things easy for me, I fault so much support and made this journey fun.

After I finished SheCodes Basic I went immediately started with SheCodes Plus. The combination of short teaching videos, followed by challenges during which you immediately apply the learnt material makes this so satisfying. The learning curve is steep and I will definitely go back and go through the material again! Additionally, I now have the confidence to apply for jobs that require to communicate with technical teams - that is a huge leap forward from where I was just a few weeks ago!
