Information on SheCodes Courses
SheCodes courses are scheduled in advance and there are deadlines to meet during courses. However, in the case that an unexpected event should occur, SheCodes reserves the right to postpone, cancel, reschedule, or pause any course or part of a course at any point in time. SheCodes also reserves the right to modify the assessments and/or assessment system at any time. Please reference the Disclaimers and Limited Liability sections below - courses offered are subject to these sections.
No University Credit
SheCodes courses do not count as academic credit at universities UNLESS a specific university indicates that the course will count as academic credit at their institution. If this is the case, then a course certificate may be used as proof of completion of the course. Even if one university decides to award credit for a SheCodes course, there should not be an assumption that other universities will do the same. There is no obligation (legal or otherwise) by SheCodes, its course instructors, or its staff to have a course recognized by any university, academic institution, or other accredited organization. Recognition must be initiated by a student and/or a university and it is the responsibility of these parties to ensure that the SheCodes course counts as academic credit; this is in no way the responsibility of SheCodes company or staff.
Relationship between Student and SheCodes
When you participate in any SheCodes course, you are not in any way establishing a relationship with any of our sponsors or affiliates.
SheCodes course content may be accessed for life once purchased. Access to the content does not expire or end with your participation in the course.
SheCodes services allow users to share content such as homework assignments, projects, and feedback on the website (where most content is private - except for user testimonials) and on platforms such as Slack, Facebook, and Instagram (where content is public). The user retains all intellectual property rights for the content that they share. They are responsible for this content.
How Your Content May Be Used By SheCodes and Others
Here at SheCodes, we cherish user feedback gathered from surveys, motivation, user communication channels (like Slack), etc. By sharing feedback, you are granting us permission to use this feedback in any way we desire. You will not receive any compensation for feedback we use. SheCodes reserves the right to use similar or related feedback in conjunction with your user feedback.
SheCodes aims to protect the security of our users. However, we do not accept blame for the unauthorized access of your information by third parties who are able to overcome our security measures. If you believe that the security of your profile or user interactions on the site have been compromised, please alert us immediately at [email protected] and we will take action to stop this unauthorized use/access.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

SheCodes has the right to edit or update the terms at any time as we see fit. Modifications we make are effective immediately upon being posted by us. If there are significant changes to the terms, then we will make effort to notify users of these changes. If you continue using our services after a modification has been made, with or without notification, that stipulates your acceptance of the revised terms.
If it is discovered that a specific term stipulated here is not valid, this does not affect other terms stipulated. If you fail to adhere to any of our existing terms and SheCodes does not take action, this is not an indication that SheCodes is relinquishing our rights of taking action in the future or is deeming your behavior appropriate.
