About Us
SheCodes is one of the world's largest online coding schools for women, with 250,000+ students across 180 countries. We are a profitable, founder-led company entering our most ambitious chapter: launching SheCodes AI and scaling toward our mission of teaching 1 million women around the globe how to code.
We have a massive audience, a proven product, and a clear roadmap. What we need is a strategic operator who can turn that vision into reality.
The Role
You will be the operational engine behind SheCodes' next phase of growth. The founder leads product, curriculum, and teaching. You lead everything else: the team, the timelines, the hiring, the systems, and the daily decisions that determine whether we reach 1 million students or stay where we are.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on building structure where there is none, who sees problems before they become crises, and who believes that operational excellence is what separates good companies from great ones.
What You'll Own
Growth Operations
- Own the operational strategy for scaling SheCodes from 250,000 to 1,000,000 students
- Coordinate product launches from planning through execution
- Track key business metrics (enrollments, conversion rates, student satisfaction) and turn data into decisions
- Identify growth bottlenecks and remove them
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop a small remote team across multiple time zones
- Run weekly syncs, 1-on-1s, and performance reviews
- Set clear expectations, build accountability, and foster a culture that is fast, kind, and results-driven
- Identify when team members need support, development, or a change in direction, and handle those conversations with honesty and care
Hiring and Talent
- Lead the full hiring process: job descriptions, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding
- Build 30/60/90 day plans for every new hire
- Develop a talent pipeline for future roles as we scale
Systems and Processes
- Audit existing workflows and eliminate inefficiencies
- Document standard operating procedures so the business is never dependent on any single person's knowledge
- Set up and manage project tracking (we use Linear and Slack)
- Automate what can be automated, remove what does not need to exist
Admin and Coordination
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals
- Coordinate with our accountant on routine financial matters
- Oversee invoice processing, payment scheduling, and tool subscriptions
Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate marketing efforts across paid advertising, email, and partnerships
- Manage external hires and agencies working on growth initiatives
- Ensure marketing execution stays on timeline and within budget
Who We're Looking For
Essential qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in operations, project management, or a chief-of-staff capacity, ideally within a startup or small company
- Active daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) integrated into your workflow, not as an experiment but as a core part of how you work
- Proven experience managing remote teams across time zones
- Excellent written English with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in async environments
- A self-directed working style with the confidence to make decisions, take ownership, and move forward without constant direction
- Strong organizational skills and experience with project management tools such as Linear, Notion, Slack, or similar platforms
Highly valued:
- Experience in ed-tech, online education, or creator-led businesses
- Experience hiring and managing teams across multiple countries
- Familiarity with platforms such as Stripe, Vercel, or general SaaS infrastructure
- A genuine passion for education, women in technology, or global social impact
Why This Role Matters
SheCodes has already changed the trajectory of 250,000 women's careers. We receive messages every week from students who landed their first tech role, launched their first product, or gained the confidence to call themselves a builder. And we are just getting started.
The founder can build the best coding education in the world, but he cannot do that and run the operations. This is where you come in. Your work will directly determine how many women we reach, how fast we grow, and whether we achieve our goal of 1 million students.
If you are looking for a role where your work has a measurable impact on real lives, where you can build something meaningful from the ground up, and where operational leadership is valued as the strategic function it truly is, we would love to hear from you.
