SheCodes Foundation Operations Manager

Help deliver amazing experiences to SheCodes Foundation students and help grow the Foundation.

The SheCodes Foundation currently has a presence in 4 continents and in countless time zones and has had thousands of students apply to this date. We are constantly working to expand our reach and deliver the best experience possible to each and every one of our Foundation students. In order to do so, members of the SheCodes team must closely work with every part of the internal platform, getting familiar with the intricacies of what it takes to manage daily operations, risk, products, and user experience.

As part of our global expansion, SheCodes is looking to hire an Operations Manager for the SheCodes Foundation to help us expand our reach and better take care of our current and potential students. As a SheCodes Foundation Operations Manager, you’ll spend the majority of your time managing the Foundation platform, expanding the Foundation’s reach, and interacting with our potential and current students to ensure that they have the best experience possible. If you are friendly, patient, and a quick learner, you’d make a great fit!

In this role, you will:Β 
  • Oversee the application review process for the Foundation and monitor application presentation on the Foundation website.
  • Assist in customer support for potential and current Foundation students.
  • Handle interaction with potential and current Foundation students via Slack, email, and an internal client communication platform.Β 
    • In order to do so, you must learn the inner workings of the SheCodes platform, our workflow, and our delegation system, and incorporate our company voice.Β 
  • Partake in product updates to ensure that the Foundation is running as smoothly as possible.
  • Conduct outreach to new possible partners for the Foundation (including organizations, social media partners, etc.).
  • Maintain partnerships with current Foundation partners.
  • Track the number of weekly applications, overall growth, and other metrics.Β 
  • Aid in future Foundation content creation (in emails, newsletters, the website, social media, etc.) and help improve current content.
  • Work closely with other members of the SheCodes team to manage tasks and operations.
  • Solve issues as quickly as possible and without upsetting our customers.
  • Have an opportunity to learn how the SheCodes Foundation operates and can deliver an even larger impact in the future.

We’re looking for someone who:
  • Enjoys user interaction, writing, and working efficiently.
  • Is fluent and highly proficient in English.
  • Enjoys problem-solving, has great analytical skills, and is comfortable with explaining and answering questions about our products.
  • Is empathetic and patient with our users.
  • Can manage quick changes in company policy and procedures. (We’re a small company that is expanding fast, so we always have to be on our toes!)
  • Is familiar with our company and user experience.Β 
  • Is located in Lisbon, Portugal.
  • Has some experience working with and growing a Foundation or similar organization.
  • Has worked for a non-profit before.
  • Has lived in a developing country for at least a year.

Skills
  • Comfortable with your computer (you should be able to type fast).
  • Comfortable with Slack, Gmail, Calendar, Zoom, Google docs, Social media platforms.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
