We are looking for a Full-stack Developer (Ruby On Rails/React) to help us manage the SheCodes platform.Β 

SheCodes currently has a presence in 6 continents and in countless time zones and has had 200,000+ students. We are constantly working to expand our reach and deliver the best experience possible to each and every one of our students.Β 

As part of our global expansion, SheCodes is looking for a Ruby on Rails developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.


Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with expertise in Ruby on Rails and React to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining both our backend and frontend systems to deliver seamless experiences to our users.

We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is fluent in English
  • Enjoys problem-solving and has great analytical skills
  • Can manage quick changes in company policy and procedures. (We’re a small company that is expanding fast, so we always have to be on our toes!)
  • Is able to work remotely

Qualifications:
  1. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  2. Proven experience with React.js.
  3. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, and RESTful APIs.
  4. Experience with frontend technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+.
  5. Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
  6. Experience with testing frameworks like RSpec, Jest, or similar.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and multitask.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
