What we're up to
Our mission is to help women get their dream jobs in tech. We're taking a step closer to our mission and are adding Career Coaching to our packages. We're looking for a tech recruiter or tech career expert who can provide guidance to our students and help them go after their dream job!
The role
You’ll spend the majority of your time interacting with our students in one-on-one sessions to address their questions about how to land a job in tech.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising students about the different careers in tech they can pursue
- Providing guidance on how to find interesting open positions
- Helping students build the perfect resumé
- Helping students prepare for job interviews
- Addressing students' questions and encouraging them to put themselves out there!
We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys social interaction and helping people
- Is a current or former Tech (IT) Recruiter or Tech Career Specialist
- Has vast knowledge about the tech industry and jobs available in this industry
- Has worked with tech recruiting in different countries, including North America
- Is fluent and highly proficient in English.
- Is empathetic and patient with our students.
- Can manage quick changes in company policy and procedures. (We’re a small company that is expanding fast, so we always have to be on our toes!)
- Is flexible to work on different periods of the day to accommodate students' availability
Skills
- Vast knowledge about the tech industry and how recruitment in this industry typically works
- Knowledge about recruitment in the tech industry in different countries, especially North America
- Comfortable with Slack, Gmail, Calendar, Zoom and other video chat platforms
