Meet Louise Charlotte 🇬🇧, a curious and creative woman from England, United Kingdom! Louise Charlotte is a passionate traveler, with recent trips to Iceland and Jordan topping her list of favorites. In her free time, she’s also an enthusiastic cook, loves to draw, paint, and spend time with her pets, including a dog who once went viral after accidentally joining a parade! 🐾
Before SheCodes, Louise Charlotte worked in HR and Operations at a logistics company, where she managed workforce data, handled employee complaints, and worked extensively with spreadsheets. While she enjoyed the work, she felt she had reached a limit in her role and wanted a change. She hoped for a career that would allow her to be more creative while using her skills with data and numbers, and coding seemed to be the perfect fit.
After watching videos of SheCodes Alumni online, Louise Charlotte felt inspired to give it a try. Thanks to the skills and confidence she gained, Louise Charlotte has now embarked on a new career as a Front-End Developer at a Creative Agency! 🎉 Moving into a completely different role was a big step, and she knows she wouldn’t have landed the job without SheCodes. Showing her projects and sharing her learning journey helped her stand out in interviews, giving the company confidence in the quality of her training.
“There is no way I would have been able to get the job if I hadn't done SheCodes. Showing the projects I worked on but also being able to talk about the teaching process and what I learned really helped me at the interview, as the company was reassured that I had learned correctly.”

👩💼 Advice to Future SheCodes Student
Louise Charlotte has some valuable advice for new SheCodes students: Don’t be afraid to take a step back to move forward. She encourages others not to rush through the course but to take the time to fully understand each part. If you reach a section that feels challenging, it’s perfectly okay to rewatch the last video or workshop until it clicks. Louise Charlotte believes it’s more important to build a strong understanding than to push ahead too quickly.
”Don't worry about taking a step back to go forward. If you are working through the course and get to a bit that you do not understand or are struggling to grasp, it's okay to step back, go back to the last video or workshop to rewatch, and understand.”
Beyond her career change, SheCodes boosted Louise Charlotte’s confidence in her ability to try new things.
