SheCodes encourages you to learn at your own pace with flexible weeks. I was promoted mid-workshop and had to take a few weeks off to focus on my full time job. The structure of SheCodes allowed me to do that and then jump right back into coding when I was ready.
I love how easy to follow the lessons are and every challenge give you the opportunity to practice and make work something that you just learnt.

I liked the SheCodes workshop a lot! It's very simple to understand and I learned CSS, HTML and am beginning to learn JavaScript. I would recommend it to anyone who is a beginner coder or w/o any coding knowledge whatsoever.
If you are looking to learn code, I would definitely recommend SheCodes. The courses are informative without being boring. The courses provide practical experience as well, which is really important. I can say I really enjoyed this course. I can't wait to start on the next one.

The workshop is great! I've studied all the SheCodes workshops so I highly recomend it. I've learned a lot, I've known a lot, I've done a lot. It was very interesting, sometimes challenging and step by step from scratch with informative and very clear lessons, tasks that I learned and enjoyed. I am very satisfied with the basic course. The lessons are clear, the theory can be learned immediately in practice.
Week 1 has been really fun. I thought I would hate the video format, however, it just made the lessons more concise. Even though I have dabbled in a bit of coding as a hobby in the past, doing the classes this way have not only helped me relearn, it has helped me to upskill and have a much better understanding of how each code works. It is also great that I am getting to learn the current version of codes in use today. It has helped with my coding confidence so far!

I've really enjoyed working on the SheCodes Basics workshop, and I'm proud to say that in the past couple of weeks I've learned a lot. Of course, it's still just the basics, but it's an important step for me (and I think for most beginners), because coding as a subject is something I've wanted to approach for a while now, but didn't know where to start. The challenges after every lesson and homework projects is what really bring everything together for me - applying something as soon as you learn it is a good approach. Also, had a lot of fun with the final project :) Thanks for the opportunity!

i am learning something here that i was avoiding in the past because for me coding was complicated but in now in sheCodes i'm loving coding.
I highly recommend SheCodes basic course! I had a lot of fun learning how to code, the exercises were really fun and cognitive, and Matt is a really great teacher. I still don't feel really confident while coding, we all need some practice, but I am sure that the base that we were given will be the first step for us in this exciting world of coding!
SheCodes has made it easy for me to learn the fundamentals of web development, namely HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This is the first step in what I hope to be a new career, and SheCodes has given the confidence to continue down this path.

Unbelievable, 8 months ago I would not have believed that I could code 2 react projects that work. My own weather app and dictionary app are live. I always enjoyed working with computers and wanted to learn more but did not know where to start. I was on Instagram and the ad for SheCodes kept coming up on my feed. I decided to take the free class and the next thing I know I signed up for SheCodes Basics and now I want to keep moving up and getting better and better in coding.
What I'm learning through SheCodes will allow me to code my own portfolio site myself. I'm studying data analytics, and being able to make my own portfolio to showcase my projects is important to me. I'm learning how to code but also how to find out how to learn to code. I super recommend this course for people who learn through doing.

As someone who had zero knowledge in coding, I have to say that I’m very impressed with myself. I always wanted to learn how to code so I started to do some research and found SheCodes. It seemed to be one of the best course so I decided to try it and I don’t regret it ! In a short time, I learned so much. I can now say that I really have an interest in coding and I will definitely take more classes here !
I'd looked into several options to learn coding online, and this intro course was exactly what I needed. The structure of the class is perfect: bite-sized lessons to complete on your own time, but a firm enough schedule to keep you on track. I have been learning through various courses about programing in high school and college. The issue for me was that there has not been enough order in specific concepts or communication in my courses. This made me feel very behind and unprepared during my previous internship. Now, I have covered some basics that I was never even introduced to and I can full heartedly say I had more enjoyment out of this course than any in person courses at my university! I had also never been able to be apart of a community within my major during my time at my university. I now feel more comfortable than ever to ask any questions and reach out to this wonderful and growing community! I have always wanted to learn more out side of the classroom and this is defiantly where I can do that!

This course is a very good start in programming. In three weeks I received a knowledge base that will help in further learning. This is a very valuable experience and I am glad that I got the opportunity to study at SheCodes.
Wow! What an experience! Being able to work on your own pace and still be able to get it done by the deadline is a closer step to meeting your goal. I'm detail-oriented and organized so I like my setup to look a certain way as it did get frustrating at times but the satisfaction of getting it done is all worth it. The courses could get difficult but honestly is was fun learning a new skill and having a hands on experience like you would in a classroom. I would defiantly recommend this workshop to any female beginner; this would be a great start! You will not regret it! Go for it! 😁

SheCodes is a great way to see if you enjoy coding as well as a great way to learn. At times some assignments can be difficult, but you always have help and support, and overall the workshops are very informative.

I really like this course! The whole material is laid out in such a way that it seems that everything is very simple and there is a desire to learn more and more. At times, it was difficult to do homework, but then came a feeling of complete happiness and pride that you can do something with your own hands.

Great for absolute beginners! In a relatively short time, you can learn the basics. And plus all the tasks are fun so it is a delightful course.
Great workshop where you learn some great basic coding skills. For me it was a nice foundation to really get started with coding
This is an eye opening project that shows a lot of work is done in the background (coding) in order to create a project that looks simple on the surface. One has to be patience in learning as it is all about trial and error especially when encountering error during the project. Luckily the videos/source code that is provided has been sufficient and there are staff in slack whom you can approach anytime for help.
I highly recommend SheCodes Foundation, because all the material is given in a clear and well srtuctured way. I've learnt so much about coding for these three weeks and am really grateful for the knowledge and experience!
The SheCodes Basics workshop was a great introduction to coding! I feel like I learned a lot and had support throughout the process. I also appreciated the extensions on due dates because sometimes life throws unexpected obstacles in your way!
