During this course, I've applied what I learned about responsive design to adapt my designs. I've checked my designs between different screen sizes using CSS media queries and building flexible components, mainly classes, that can be utilized across different lines of code that share the same class. I learn a little more about creative control when working with images and refining my existing layouts.
I really enjoyed this React workshop! π It was a great opportunity to take my JavaScript skills further and learn how to build a complete, responsive application with React. Building the Weather App helped me understand components, state, props, API integration, asynchronous data and responsive design in a much more practical way. Seeing the project evolve from the first component to a fully deployed application was incredibly rewarding. Taking the Responsive Web Design class has helped me understand how to turn creative ideas into actual, functional websites. Before the class, I knew I wanted to learn front-end development, but I wasn't always sure how HTML, CSS, layouts, and responsive design worked together. What I especially enjoyed was being able to learn by building. Each project gave me a chance to experiment, make mistakes, solve problems, and see the results immediately. Learning how to make a website adapt to different screen sizes has been especially valuable because I want my websites to look good and feel intentional whether someone visits from a desktop, tablet, or phone. The class also gave me more confidence to combine my creative interests with technology. My final project brings together my interests in crafts, perfume making, TTRPGs, and front-end development, which made the learning process feel personal rather than just like completing an assignment. I'm leaving the class with more than a finished website. I have a better understanding of responsive design, more confidence with HTML and CSS, and a foundation I can continue building on as I learn JavaScript and develop my portfolio. This class helped me realize that I don't have to choose between being creative and being technicalβI can be both.

I would have liked to see a module about elements to consider when approaching mobile screens. Questions that come to mind include the possibility of making a base CSS for small screens first, adding break points for larger screens, and touch targets to ensure buttons and links can be adequately sized for touch screens. Being able to add a 'functionality' to the webpage solely from CSS with no bootstrap was fun. It is time consuming and teaches you patience with having to troubleshoot images to the correct sizing needed for the content of a webpage, but, it also helps to add on and build the fine motor skills of retaining information learned from the 'Basics' courses of the coding workshops. I took a lot away from this 'Responsive' course that helped me understand how CSS can work better and more efficiently for webpages.

When I started the basic course from SheCodes, everything felt very far from my reality. It seemed almost impossible that I would be able to code on my own and eventually build my own website, with multiple pages and, on top of that, make it responsive and working on all types of screens. The SheCodes React Dictionary project has been such a satisfying project to build. Everything from the React course came together in one place: components, state, API integration, responsive design, and real UX thinking. I loved going beyond the brief: I designed the empty state from scratch with a custom animated SVG illustration, and added small details like synonym chips. React keeps inspiring me to build more. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team for yet another course that pushes me further than I thought I could go. π

I really enjoyed SheCodes Responsive. It was a lot of fun learning how to make websites responsive, build multi-page websites, and create my own portfolio. I also liked learning more about Bootstrap, Flexbox, and media queries. It helped me feel more confident and excited about building websites on my own.
This course taught me how to think about layout. How to look at a design and ask: what happens to this on a phone? On a tablet? That shift in mindset was worth everything. Also I dug a little bit deeper and found out that respsonsiveness can be actually much easier with clamp() function, which clamps a value within a range of values between a defined minimum bound and a maximum bound. By the end, I had built a fully responsive travel page for my homecity Kharkiv from scratch - with a fluid navbar, a gallery grid, cafΓ© cards, embedded maps, and a currency converter. Now I know I can build anything, and make it look great on every screen.
I couldn't be happier with the SheCodes Responsive course! π The transition from my previous foundational courses was seamless, and diving deep into Bootstrap was a total game-changer for me. Itβs incredible how much more efficient styling becomes when you have the right tools. Working on this travel project for the SheCodes Responsive course was an amazing learning experience. I especially enjoyed building the interactive cards, mini gallery, and map embeds, and experimenting with grids and hover effects to make the content more engaging. This project pushed me to pay attention to detail, accessibility, and overall user experience, and Iβm really proud of the final result!
This project was my SheCodes Week 4 responsive portfolio, and Iβm really proud of how it turned out. I focused on creating a clean, modern design that showcases my frontend skills while being fully responsive across devices. I built interactive project cards, a hero section, and a custom footer with SVG social links, ensuring consistency in color, spacing, and typography. I also optimized images, added semantic HTML, and included SEO best practices like meta descriptions and Open Graph tags. Overall, this project allowed me to combine design and development skills into a professional, user-friendly portfolio that I can continue to build on!
