I really enjoyed SheCodes Responsive. It was a lot of fun learning how to make websites responsive, build multi-page websites, and create my own portfolio. I also liked learning more about Bootstrap, Flexbox, and media queries. It helped me feel more confident and excited about building websites on my own.
This course taught me how to think about layout. How to look at a design and ask: what happens to this on a phone? On a tablet? That shift in mindset was worth everything. Also I dug a little bit deeper and found out that respsonsiveness can be actually much easier with clamp() function, which clamps a value within a range of values between a defined minimum bound and a maximum bound. By the end, I had built a fully responsive travel page for my homecity Kharkiv from scratch - with a fluid navbar, a gallery grid, cafรฉ cards, embedded maps, and a currency converter. Now I know I can build anything, and make it look great on every screen.
I couldn't be happier with the SheCodes Responsive course! ๐ The transition from my previous foundational courses was seamless, and diving deep into Bootstrap was a total game-changer for me. This project was my SheCodes Week 4 responsive portfolio, and Iโm really proud of how it turned out. I focused on creating a clean, modern design that showcases my frontend skills while being fully responsive across devices. I built interactive project cards, a hero section, and a custom footer with SVG social links, ensuring consistency in color, spacing, and typography. I also optimized images, added semantic HTML, and included SEO best practices like meta descriptions and Open Graph tags. Overall, this project allowed me to combine design and development skills into a professional, user-friendly portfolio that I can continue to build on!
This has quite possibly been the most rewarding of all the SheCodes workshops so far! Matt does a really fabulous job of guiding you step by step through the process of building your own fully responsive and professional looking portfolio page. I also really appreciate how honest the video tutorials are in that Matt doesn't edit out any of the "oops, something's not working in my page/ my code has crashed" moments, not hiding the reality of how common place it is for all Developers of all experience levels to inevitably encounter problems that require a little problem solving. The support team were also really helpful when I ran into a bit of a hitch, getting back to me really quickly! The SheCodes team really do offer an excellent service!
Over the past five weeks, my journey learning Responsive Web Development has been both challenging and exciting. During this time, I gained practical skills in building web pages that adapt smoothly to different screen sizes using modern frontend techniques such as flexible layouts and media queries. The SheCodes Responsive course was a turning point for me. Something clicked when I stopped just following along with the professor's code and started building my own project with my own creative choices. Every time I ran into a problem and had to figure it out myself, I actually retained it. I came out of this course feeling like a developer with my own style, not just someone who can copy and paste. If you're on the fence, just know that the real learning happens when you start making it your own.
Although, I commenced this journey several years ago, after completing the first three weeks of training, due to personal family matters I couldnโt complete the final. Very much enjoyed building a responsive webpage from a Figma design - it felt very applicable to dev work that I'm interested in, and I enjoyed the tips and tricks covered in the workshop.
One of the toughest weeks I have had going back and forth with this workshop but at last I'm done with it and honestly it was all worth it. Learnt a lot of different techniques to make any webpage responsive on any screen.

It was a great learning experience and challenge that helped me understand how to build clean, structured, and mobile-friendly websites. Even though I might be fully remaking the whole structure of the project later :D. The lessons were clear, practical, and easy to follow, and the hands-on projects really helped me apply everything step by step. I really have to mention, that I faced a very important challenge โ and a valuable lesson โ the importance of creating the correct logical HTML markup for all pages before jumping into the design stage. Proper structure from the beginning makes the entire workflow smoother and prevents a lot of issues later when adding styling or making the layout responsive. Great course, simple to follow along with. There are some very challenging parts in this week's project but the She Codes team are really responsive and available to help. This is my final project and can't recommend the Bootcamp course enough. I went from almost zero knowledge to a full portfolio and the readiness to change career. Learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with SheCodes has been amazing! I built my Hockey Hobby landing page from scratch, added links, animations, and a responsive grid, and even implemented a dark/light theme toggle. This project let me practice everything I learned in the SheCodes basics and gain real hands-on experience turning my ideas into working web pages. I feel confident applying my skills to future projects.
In this project, I created an interactive web page about Ballet Dance using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML was used to structure the content, including headings, images, buttons, and text. CSS was used to style the page and improve its appearance. I applied CSS Grid to display images in a responsive gallery and used CSS transformations and transitions to add hover effects and smooth animations. These features make the page more engaging and visually appealing. I also implemented a dark theme toggle using JavaScript. By clicking a button, users can switch between light mode and dark mode. The selected theme is saved using localStorage, allowing the preference to remain even after refreshing the page. JavaScript was further used to add simple interactivity, such as an alert message when clicking the โLearn Balletโ button. Overall, this project demonstrates my understanding of basic front-end web development concepts and my ability to combine structure, styling, and interactivity into a functional and user friendly webpage

A valuable workshop with yet more complexity and new challenges. I really enjoyed learning how to embed maps, videos and social media to a web page and making it responsive. I created a page with multiple sections and used grids to organise the content. It was satisfying to produce a professional standard site and use industry tools. Excellent instruction, guidance and team support when needed. I am building the confidence in fixing bugs when they occur.
This was a great addition to the Responsive workshop. We were taught the manual way of making a page responsive. Everything that Bootstrap and other platforms enable was done manually in this workshop and I appreciate that. It's good to know both so that you know what to apply when. It's also good to know so that if something is not functioning properly you have options. The project was a lot of fun!

This was the most fun I've had in a while! After learning so many new things in the previous courses, this project reminded me of the power of pure HTML and CSS. Being able to build a website without JavaScript was really satisfying! Diving into CSS Grids, HTML tables, and figuring out how to make it all responsive was incredibly fun and rewarding!

Hands down one of my favourite workshops. The workshops have been arranged so that you can get to this point. If you were to start here without any background in coding you would feel like you were on a different plane. Everything that we were taught from the beginning with HTML, CSS, Javascript embedded code from Google Fonts and Font Awesome set us up to be able to understand how to use Bootstrap, Responsive as well as other platforms. I am so very proud of myself and all that I have accomplished so far. A huge thank you to Matt and the team. I am nearing the end of my SheCodes journey as a student and will soon hopefully start a chapter as a Junior Developer. I feel confident, hopeful and excited to enter it and it's all because of these fantastic workshops. To other students out there, I donโt know where you may be on your learning journey whether you are a student or thinking about becoming one. I want to encourage you to start or continue on this path. Itโs not easy but step-by-step, little by little you will get there. Thereโs a great team and other students here to cheer you on.
This HTML/CSS workshop on page responsiveness was fantastic. I didn't just learn how to use media queries, I learned practical strategies for making my pages look professional and polished across different device sizes.
โJoining SheCodes has been one of the best decisions Iโve made for my learning journey. I came in with very little coding knowledge and lots of self-doubt. But the way Matt teaches is simple, clear, practical, and easy to follow Building real projects like my weather app gave me confidence I didnโt have before. Now I can work with APIs, JavaScript, and responsive design, and Iโm proud of the work I can create. I especially love the real-world projects because they helped me gain confidence and actually see my progress. I have completed the SheCodes Plus AI Workshop, and Iโm honestly so proud of the progress I've made. I managed to finish everything within the two weeks given, and the experience was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. My final project involved building a form that, when searched, generates a Kenyan cuisine recipe using JavaScript's responsiveness. Improving my JavaScript skills and building something that felt meaningful really boosted my confidence as a developer. I am really proud of what I've created through the lessons given by our instructor, Matt Delac.
I created a really good looking webpage that is fully responsive - without the use of any frameworks (made use of Bootstrap for the previous project). It was fun!

She Codes has completely transformed my journey into tech. The lessons are clear, hands-on, and incredibly empowering. I started with no coding experience, and now I can build responsive websites with confidence. The community is supportive, the mentors are inspiring, and the learning environment is motivating.
I applied React fundamentals, API integration, and responsive design to create a clean, user-friendly dictionary app. This project challenged me to think critically about UI/UX and gave me the confidence to build an interactive web application.
An exciting workshop with plenty of challenges. I learned how to make a multipage website complete with navigation bar and footer incorporating social media links. I used Bootstrap, Wireframes and other tools. It was satisfying to see it become fully responsive for both mobile and desktop. It put my troubleshooting to the test too. I was proud that I managed to solve an issue that came up by myself by really examining all the code ,researching until I finally asked myself the right question. I was pleased with the final result .
Taking part in the She Codes Responsive class was an amazing experience. I created and coded my very own website from scratch, and it turned out beautifullyโboth technically and visually. It gave me the confidence and skills to bring my ideas to life. Iโm so proud of what I achieved and would highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn coding in a practical, inspiring, and empowering way.
