I just finished the responsive web design workshop, and my final project is my own portfolio website. In this workshop I learned how to make my code responsive to any screen size, using Flexbox and media queries, and how to build a multi-page website. I also learned advanced Bootstrap, like the navigation and utility classes, and how to host my code on GitHub and host a multi-page site online. The best part is that I ended up with a unique portfolio I can actually use.

The SheCodes Basics Add-on helped me strengthen my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills. I enjoyed learning about CSS grids, transforms, background styling, and creating a dark and light theme. Building an interactive landing page was both fun and rewarding, and it gave me more confidence in creating responsive and visually appealing websites.

I really enjoyed completing the Responsive Add-On course and building on everything I learnt with SheCodes. It helped me understand how to make my websites look great across different screen sizes and gave me more confidence with responsive design. I’m really happy with how much I’ve learnt and excited to keep developing my skills!

SheCodes Responsive Add-on is a great resource for additional learnings about coding and responsive design. It's cool to learn about html embeds and how we can add this to the code. The course is short and easy to follow through. Many thanks to our instructor Matt Delac and SheCodes team!

I've really enjoyed the Responsive course and I'm looking forward to continuing my learning journey with the add-on course after completing this one and building on everything I've learned so far.

The SheCodes Responsive class helped me understand how to make a website look good on both desktop and mobile. Building my New Orleans travel project gave me hands-on practice with grids, cards, embeds, CSS filters, and tables. I’m proud that I can turn a creative idea into a site that works across screen sizes.

I particularly enjoyed working with React components, state and props, asynchronous functions and API integrations. For this project, I worked with the SheCodes AI API and Pexels API to create dynamic content based on the city searched by the user, as well as Google Maps integration and a responsive editorial-style layout using CSS Grid and Flexbox. I also got to practise handling loading and error states, working with environment variables. What I liked most was being able to take the initial workshop concept and develop it further into a more complete and personalised application. It was a great way to strengthen both my technical skills and my confidence in building a React project independently.

This was fun to make your own website and learn how to make a website responsive without using bootstrap.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes React Workshop and, most importantly, I feel that I’ve learned a lot by putting everything into practice with my own project. For this project, I built a fully functional English Dictionary App using React, working with reusable components, React state, conditional rendering and asynchronous API requests. I integrated the SheCodes Dictionary API, Pexels API and SheCodes AI API to create features such as definitions, translations, pronunciation, visual context and AI-assisted grammar explanations. One of the most valuable parts of the workshop was learning how to structure a React application properly and understand how different components can work together while keeping the code organised and maintainable. I also gained more confidence working with APIs, handling loading and error states, managing user interactions and building a responsive interface for different screen sizes. This project really helped me move from understanding React concepts individually to actually bringing them together in a complete application. I’m very happy with the result and, even more importantly, with how much more confident I feel building with React now. Thank you, SheCodes! 💜

Before this workshop, the word “coding” honestly intimidated me. I never imagined that I would become comfortable doing anything that involved code, let alone building functional websites and prototypes that actually work. The SheCodes workshop changed that for me.Through the hands-on projects, I discovered that coding could be accessible, creative, and genuinely fun. Lovable helped me break through the fear I had around coding and gave me the confidence to experiment, make mistakes, troubleshoot, refine my ideas, and keep building. I learned more about frontend development, responsive design, website structure, content, SEO, metadata, and how to turn an idea into a working digital product using AI-assisted development. What made the experience even more meaningful was that I wasn't simply following tutorials—I was building real projects. I created websites and prototypes that I can continue developing beyond the workshop. I am now planning to connect my own domains and make some of these projects fully public outside Lovable. That alone is something I never thought I would confidently say before starting this journey. I really enjoyed this React workshop! 🚀 It was a great opportunity to take my JavaScript skills further and learn how to build a complete, responsive application with React. Building the Weather App helped me understand components, state, props, API integration, asynchronous data and responsive design in a much more practical way. Seeing the project evolve from the first component to a fully deployed application was incredibly rewarding. I’ve learned a lot and feel much more confident continuing my journey with React and building my own projects.

This was very fun and I learned a lot on how to create multiple websites and making them responsive!

Taking the Responsive Web Design class has helped me understand how to turn creative ideas into actual, functional websites. Before the class, I knew I wanted to learn front-end development, but I wasn't always sure how HTML, CSS, layouts, and responsive design worked together. What I especially enjoyed was being able to learn by building. Each project gave me a chance to experiment, make mistakes, solve problems, and see the results immediately. Learning how to make a website adapt to different screen sizes has been especially valuable because I want my websites to look good and feel intentional whether someone visits from a desktop, tablet, or phone. The class also gave me more confidence to combine my creative interests with technology. My final project brings together my interests in crafts, perfume making, TTRPGs, and front-end development, which made the learning process feel personal rather than just like completing an assignment. I'm leaving the class with more than a finished website. I have a better understanding of responsive design, more confidence with HTML and CSS, and a foundation I can continue building on as I learn JavaScript and develop my portfolio. This class helped me realize that I don't have to choose between being creative and being technical—I can be both.

It is hard to believe the level of comfort and confidence achieved over the past few courses leading up to this Responsive Add-On course. I'm blown away by the things that are just 'clicking' now that I had to think so hard about before. This is what I love most about how Matt has structured the course. I never once felt intimidated or overwhelmed by the mountain because he always keeps your focus on one foot in front of the other. The mountain is simply scaled on its own. The course covers responsive design that builds on HTML, CSS, Flexbox, and CSS Grid with certification projects learned from previous modules. After going through the modules, I took some time playing with fluid grids, flexible images, and media queries. I would have liked to see a module about elements to consider when approaching mobile screens. Questions that come to mind include the possibility of making a base CSS for small screens first, adding break points for larger screens, and touch targets to ensure buttons and links can be adequately sized for touch screens. I enjoyed the process of experimenting and learning more about responsive design while creating and structuring a portfolio page that works on both desktop and mobile devices.

Being able to add a 'functionality' to the webpage solely from CSS with no bootstrap was fun. It is time consuming and teaches you patience with having to troubleshoot images to the correct sizing needed for the content of a webpage, but, it also helps to add on and build the fine motor skills of retaining information learned from the 'Basics' courses of the coding workshops. I took a lot away from this 'Responsive' course that helped me understand how CSS can work better and more efficiently for webpages.

Through this SheCodes Plus workshop, I gained practical experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, GitHub, and Netlify. Building a fully functional weather application helped me understand how to integrate real-time data and create responsive, user-friendly web applications. It feels amazing to have completed this last challenge and the whole responsive workshop. I love SheCodes training in general, as I have already said before in my other reviews, and I recommend it 100% since it is just easy to follow along the videos and the process is so enjoyable, or atleast that is how it feels to me. I am just missing a more elaborated feedback about how we can improve our personal work when the solution we send is valid, instead a just 'valid solution' answer. I hope they can work on that matter for future students.

Another milestone reached! Six months ago, I started with no idea what it meant to be a front-end developer. Today, I’ve just delivered my first responsive project. The progress is clear! @matdellac manages to convey information in such an easy-to-understand way, making everything so engaging that it makes you want to come back every day to learn a little more.

So excited to share that I just finished the SheCodes Basics Add-On course! 🚀 The extra projects were exactly what I needed to reinforce what I learned in Basics. Building out more responsive elements was so satisfying, and I'm really proud of how my coding skills are shaping up, looking forward to learn more in the next stage. Graduating from the React Add-on feels like a very special achievement for me. Working on the Dictionary project was definitely challenging, but it was also incredibly rewarding. When I started the basic course from SheCodes, everything felt very far from my reality. It seemed almost impossible that I would be able to code on my own and eventually build my own website, with multiple pages and, on top of that, make it responsive and working on all types of screens. I applied everything directly to my own multi-page portfolio rather than a throwaway exercise, so I finished the workshop with something real and deployed.

Building a fully responsive, multi-page portfolio from scratch pushed me to bring together everything I had learned — HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and responsive design — and apply it in a real, meaningful way. I wanted my portfolio to reflect the same care and creativity I put into my chocolate business, and SheCodes gave me the tools and confidence to do exactly that. Seeing my website come to life — with a working navbar, floating cards, a projects showcase and a design system I built myself — was incredibly fulfilling. SheCodes made learning to code feel accessible and achievable. I went from a blank page to a professional portfolio I am truly proud of. I would highly recommend SheCodes to any woman who has ever thought about learning to code — it is never too late to start a new chapter!

This has been my favourite workshop so far. I really enjoyed learning the different techniques used to create responsive websites and how to ensure they display effectively across a range of screen sizes, from mobile devices to larger desktop displays. The workshop helped me further develop my CSS and web design skills while giving me a greater understanding of modern responsive design principles. I found it rewarding to see how small adjustments can significantly improve the user experience and accessibility of a website. Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed upskilling through this workshop and feel more confident in my ability to build websites that are both visually appealing and functional across different devices.

Studying Front-End Development at SheCodes was a turning point for me. I originally came from a psychology background and decided to pursue a career change into tech, initially believing I would learn full-stack development. Throughout the bootcamp, I gained skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, React, Responsive Design, and APIs. The biggest challenge was making such a drastic career shift, but the learning experience was so engaging and accessible that I never lost motivation.
