Throughout the course, I learned how to build modern, responsive websites that adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes, from mobile phones to tablets and desktops. One of the aspects I enjoyed most was learning how to use CSS Grid, media queries, and responsive design techniques to create professional-looking layouts. The lessons were well-structured, easy to follow, and included practical challenges that helped reinforce each concept. The final project allowed me to apply everything I learned by creating a fully responsive travel website. It was rewarding to see how a website can transform across devices while maintaining a clean and user-friendly design.

I developed a solid understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and improved my problem solving skills. The SheCodes Responsive Final Project was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my learning journey so far. Building a fully responsive, multi-page portfolio from scratch pushed me to bring together everything I had learned — HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and responsive design — and apply it in a real, meaningful way. I wanted my portfolio to reflect the same care and creativity I put into my chocolate business, and SheCodes gave me the tools and confidence to do exactly that. Seeing my website come to life — with a working navbar, floating cards, a projects showcase and a design system I built myself — was incredibly fulfilling. SheCodes made learning to code feel accessible and achievable. I went from a blank page to a professional portfolio I am truly proud of. I would highly recommend SheCodes to any woman who has ever thought about learning to code — it is never too late to start a new chapter!

This has been my favourite workshop so far. I really enjoyed learning the different techniques used to create responsive websites and how to ensure they display effectively across a range of screen sizes, from mobile devices to larger desktop displays. The workshop helped me further develop my CSS and web design skills while giving me a greater understanding of modern responsive design principles. I found it rewarding to see how small adjustments can significantly improve the user experience and accessibility of a website. The Responsive Add-on Graduation course was a great experience. I improved my responsive web design skills and learned how to create websites that work well on all devices. The lessons were practical, clear, and very helpful. I definitely feel more confident as a front-end developer now.

Studying Front-End Development at SheCodes was a turning point for me. I originally came from a psychology background and decided to pursue a career change into tech, initially believing I would learn full-stack development. Throughout the bootcamp, I gained skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, React, Responsive Design, and APIs. The biggest challenge was making such a drastic career shift, but the learning experience was so engaging and accessible that I never lost motivation. I really enjoyed SheCodes Responsive. It was a lot of fun learning how to make websites responsive, build multi-page websites, and create my own portfolio. I also liked learning more about Bootstrap, Flexbox, and media queries. It helped me feel more confident and excited about building websites on my own.

This course taught me how to think about layout. How to look at a design and ask: what happens to this on a phone? On a tablet? That shift in mindset was worth everything. Also I dug a little bit deeper and found out that respsonsiveness can be actually much easier with clamp() function, which clamps a value within a range of values between a defined minimum bound and a maximum bound. By the end, I had built a fully responsive travel page for my homecity Kharkiv from scratch - with a fluid navbar, a gallery grid, café cards, embedded maps, and a currency converter. Now I know I can build anything, and make it look great on every screen.

I couldn't be happier with the SheCodes Responsive course! 😁 The transition from my previous foundational courses was seamless, and diving deep into Bootstrap was a total game-changer for me. It’s incredible how much more efficient styling becomes when you have the right tools. I’m so proud of the projects I’ve built and I’m heading into my next course with so much excitement and momentum! Portugal (and the web) isn't ready for what's coming next!

Working on this travel project for the SheCodes Responsive course was an amazing learning experience. I got to practice HTML, CSS, and responsive design while creating a visually appealing and functional website. I especially enjoyed building the interactive cards, mini gallery, and map embeds, and experimenting with grids and hover effects to make the content more engaging. This project pushed me to pay attention to detail, accessibility, and overall user experience, and I’m really proud of the final result!

This project was my SheCodes Week 4 responsive portfolio, and I’m really proud of how it turned out. I focused on creating a clean, modern design that showcases my frontend skills while being fully responsive across devices. I built interactive project cards, a hero section, and a custom footer with SVG social links, ensuring consistency in color, spacing, and typography. I also optimized images, added semantic HTML, and included SEO best practices like meta descriptions and Open Graph tags. Overall, this project allowed me to combine design and development skills into a professional, user-friendly portfolio that I can continue to build on!

This has quite possibly been the most rewarding of all the SheCodes workshops so far! Matt does a really fabulous job of guiding you step by step through the process of building your own fully responsive and professional looking portfolio page. I also really appreciate how honest the video tutorials are in that Matt doesn't edit out any of the "oops, something's not working in my page/ my code has crashed" moments, not hiding the reality of how common place it is for all Developers of all experience levels to inevitably encounter problems that require a little problem solving. The support team were also really helpful when I ran into a bit of a hitch, getting back to me really quickly! The SheCodes team really do offer an excellent service!

Over the past five weeks, my journey learning Responsive Web Development has been both challenging and exciting. During this time, I gained practical skills in building web pages that adapt smoothly to different screen sizes using modern frontend techniques such as flexible layouts and media queries. This experience helped me better understand how real-world websites are developed to function effectively on phones, tablets, and desktops. The process strengthened my confidence in writing cleaner, more adaptable code and has motivated me to continue improving my skills in web development as I build more responsive and user-friendly websites.

This Responsive Add-on course was a wonderful continuation of the Responsive workshop. It helped me deepen my understanding of how to refine layouts and create more polished responsive pages using CSS Grid and media queries. The SheCodes Responsive course was a turning point for me. Something clicked when I stopped just following along with the professor's code and started building my own project with my own creative choices. Every time I ran into a problem and had to figure it out myself, I actually retained it. I came out of this course feeling like a developer with my own style, not just someone who can copy and paste. If you're on the fence, just know that the real learning happens when you start making it your own.

Although, I commenced this journey several years ago, after completing the first three weeks of training, due to personal family matters I couldn’t complete the final. However, I've returned and hope to continue this journey with SheCodes Plus, SheCodes Responsive, SheCodes React and beyond. Thank you for this opportunity.

Very much enjoyed building a responsive webpage from a Figma design - it felt very applicable to dev work that I'm interested in, and I enjoyed the tips and tricks covered in the workshop.

One of the toughest weeks I have had going back and forth with this workshop but at last I'm done with it and honestly it was all worth it. Learnt a lot of different techniques to make any webpage responsive on any screen.

This course was challenging, yet fun. I loved using all the tools I have learnt to create a website. What I enjoyed the most was creating the multiple pages, making it responsive, SEO, and much more. I really enjoyed this workshop, and I feel like I am already an experienced Front-end Engineer 😂

It was a great learning experience and challenge that helped me understand how to build clean, structured, and mobile-friendly websites. Even though I might be fully remaking the whole structure of the project later :D. The lessons were clear, practical, and easy to follow, and the hands-on projects really helped me apply everything step by step. I really have to mention, that I faced a very important challenge — and a valuable lesson — the importance of creating the correct logical HTML markup for all pages before jumping into the design stage. Proper structure from the beginning makes the entire workflow smoother and prevents a lot of issues later when adding styling or making the layout responsive. Overall, the course strengthened my confidence in building responsive websites and improved the way I approach web development.

The responsive course was the cherry on top of the SheCodes workshops! I was finally able to ensure that the pages that I am coding are responsive and able to be viewed well on any type of device.

Thanks to the guidance of instructor Matt Delac and by researching more theory and solutions whenever some concepts weren't clear enough, I gradually learned how to approach problems with patience and persistence. This project not only improved my technical skills but also strengthened my ability to problem-solve and overcome challenges independently.

Great course, simple to follow along with. There are some very challenging parts in this week's project but the She Codes team are really responsive and available to help. This is my final project and can't recommend the Bootcamp course enough. I went from almost zero knowledge to a full portfolio and the readiness to change career. If anyone is unsure how to start of in the tech world, get onto these courses!

I really enjoyed switching back over to front-end design and learning how to make a webpage more responsive. I love using grids now, and this is the sleekest landing page I have made by far! Can't wait to finish up React and really flesh out my resume.

Learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with SheCodes has been amazing! I built my Hockey Hobby landing page from scratch, added links, animations, and a responsive grid, and even implemented a dark/light theme toggle. This project let me practice everything I learned in the SheCodes basics and gain real hands-on experience turning my ideas into working web pages. I feel confident applying my skills to future projects.

In this project, I created an interactive web page about Ballet Dance using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML was used to structure the content, including headings, images, buttons, and text. CSS was used to style the page and improve its appearance. I applied CSS Grid to display images in a responsive gallery and used CSS transformations and transitions to add hover effects and smooth animations. These features make the page more engaging and visually appealing. I also implemented a dark theme toggle using JavaScript. By clicking a button, users can switch between light mode and dark mode. The selected theme is saved using localStorage, allowing the preference to remain even after refreshing the page. JavaScript was further used to add simple interactivity, such as an alert message when clicking the “Learn Ballet” button. Overall, this project demonstrates my understanding of basic front-end web development concepts and my ability to combine structure, styling, and interactivity into a functional and user friendly webpage

This workshop was a perfect addition to the Responsiveness one! I have a live project i'm really proud of, and thanks to Matt I have a better grasp at concepts I struggled with in the past.

I started with only basic HTML and CSS, but by the end I was able to build a fully interactive webpage with features I never thought I could create — like a dark mode toggle, a responsive image grid, and CSS animations. Overall, the course made learning fun, creative, and practical.

Completing the SheCodes Responsive course has been such a rewarding experience. I learned how to build fully responsive websites using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and media queries, and more importantly, how to think like a front-end developer when designing for different screen sizes. The final project in the Responsive course was both challenging and enjoyable! Using Bootstrap helped me understand how to make websites adapt to any screen size. I also found the wireframing lessons really eye-opening, inspiring me to focus more on user-friendly designs. A valuable learning experience overall!
