The SheCodes Responsive course was a turning point for me. Something clicked when I stopped just following along with the professor's code and started building my own project with my own creative choices. Every time I ran into a problem and had to figure it out myself, I actually retained it. I came out of this course feeling like a developer with my own style, not just someone who can copy and paste. If you're on the fence, just know that the real learning happens when you start making it your own.

Although, I commenced this journey several years ago, after completing the first three weeks of training, due to personal family matters I couldn’t complete the final. However, I've returned and hope to continue this journey with SheCodes Plus, SheCodes Responsive, SheCodes React and beyond. Thank you for this opportunity.

Very much enjoyed building a responsive webpage from a Figma design - it felt very applicable to dev work that I'm interested in, and I enjoyed the tips and tricks covered in the workshop.

One of the toughest weeks I have had going back and forth with this workshop but at last I'm done with it and honestly it was all worth it. Learnt a lot of different techniques to make any webpage responsive on any screen.

This course was challenging, yet fun. I loved using all the tools I have learnt to create a website. What I enjoyed the most was creating the multiple pages, making it responsive, SEO, and much more. I really enjoyed this workshop, and I feel like I am already an experienced Front-end Engineer 😂

It was a great learning experience and challenge that helped me understand how to build clean, structured, and mobile-friendly websites. Even though I might be fully remaking the whole structure of the project later :D. The lessons were clear, practical, and easy to follow, and the hands-on projects really helped me apply everything step by step. I really have to mention, that I faced a very important challenge — and a valuable lesson — the importance of creating the correct logical HTML markup for all pages before jumping into the design stage. Proper structure from the beginning makes the entire workflow smoother and prevents a lot of issues later when adding styling or making the layout responsive. Overall, the course strengthened my confidence in building responsive websites and improved the way I approach web development.

The responsive course was the cherry on top of the SheCodes workshops! I was finally able to ensure that the pages that I am coding are responsive and able to be viewed well on any type of device.

This project challenged me in the best way possible. Building a fully responsive travel webpage with a hero section, cards, grids, embeds, and CSS filters helped me strengthen both my layout and styling skills. I learned how important structure, responsiveness, and clean code are when designing for multiple devices. It wasn’t always easy, but seeing the final result come together across mobile, tablet, and desktop screens made the challenge truly worth it.

The Responsive Add-on workshop helped everything finally come together for me. I learned how to think about layout, grids, and responsiveness as a system instead of treating each issue separately. By the end, I felt confident structuring a full project with cards, embeds, filters, and responsive behaviour that actually made sense. It gave me both clarity and confidence in my front-end skills.

It was fun building a responsive website and working on travel project. I am excited to be building my skills and portfolio !

Great course, simple to follow along with. There are some very challenging parts in this week's project but the She Codes team are really responsive and available to help. This is my final project and can't recommend the Bootcamp course enough. I went from almost zero knowledge to a full portfolio and the readiness to change career. If anyone is unsure how to start of in the tech world, get onto these courses!

I really enjoyed switching back over to front-end design and learning how to make a webpage more responsive. I love using grids now, and this is the sleekest landing page I have made by far! Can't wait to finish up React and really flesh out my resume.

Learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with SheCodes has been amazing! I built my Hockey Hobby landing page from scratch, added links, animations, and a responsive grid, and even implemented a dark/light theme toggle. This project let me practice everything I learned in the SheCodes basics and gain real hands-on experience turning my ideas into working web pages. I feel confident applying my skills to future projects.

In this project, I created an interactive web page about Ballet Dance using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML was used to structure the content, including headings, images, buttons, and text. CSS was used to style the page and improve its appearance. I applied CSS Grid to display images in a responsive gallery and used CSS transformations and transitions to add hover effects and smooth animations. These features make the page more engaging and visually appealing. I also implemented a dark theme toggle using JavaScript. By clicking a button, users can switch between light mode and dark mode. The selected theme is saved using localStorage, allowing the preference to remain even after refreshing the page. JavaScript was further used to add simple interactivity, such as an alert message when clicking the “Learn Ballet” button. Overall, this project demonstrates my understanding of basic front-end web development concepts and my ability to combine structure, styling, and interactivity into a functional and user friendly webpage

This workshop was a perfect addition to the Responsiveness one! I have a live project i'm really proud of, and thanks to Matt I have a better grasp at concepts I struggled with in the past.

A valuable workshop with yet more complexity and new challenges. I really enjoyed learning how to embed maps, videos and social media to a web page and making it responsive. I created a page with multiple sections and used grids to organise the content. It was satisfying to produce a professional standard site and use industry tools. Excellent instruction, guidance and team support when needed. I am building the confidence in fixing bugs when they occur.

This was a great addition to the Responsive workshop. We were taught the manual way of making a page responsive. Everything that Bootstrap and other platforms enable was done manually in this workshop and I appreciate that. It's good to know both so that you know what to apply when. It's also good to know so that if something is not functioning properly you have options. The project was a lot of fun!

This course has elevated my coding skills to an advanced level! I have learned how to code websites using HTML, JavaScript and CSS in a matter of months, considering that my previous experience with them was minimal. This was the most fun I've had in a while! After learning so many new things in the previous courses, this project reminded me of the power of pure HTML and CSS. The Responsive course final project was challenging yet totally fun! The knowledge I gained in Bootstrap directly applies to making any website responsive, and it showed me how many options you have to design a website based on your preferred style. The section on wireframes was incredibly useful and has me thinking constantly about how I can improve the design for users visiting my site. Another great learning experience!

Hands down one of my favourite workshops. The workshops have been arranged so that you can get to this point. If you were to start here without any background in coding you would feel like you were on a different plane. Everything that we were taught from the beginning with HTML, CSS, Javascript embedded code from Google Fonts and Font Awesome set us up to be able to understand how to use Bootstrap, Responsive as well as other platforms. I am so very proud of myself and all that I have accomplished so far. A huge thank you to Matt and the team. I am nearing the end of my SheCodes journey as a student and will soon hopefully start a chapter as a Junior Developer. I feel confident, hopeful and excited to enter it and it's all because of these fantastic workshops. To other students out there, I don’t know where you may be on your learning journey whether you are a student or thinking about becoming one. I want to encourage you to start or continue on this path. It’s not easy but step-by-step, little by little you will get there. There’s a great team and other students here to cheer you on.

I have completed the SheCodes Plus AI Workshop, and I’m honestly so proud of the progress I've made. I managed to finish everything within the two weeks given, and the experience was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. My final project involved building a form that, when searched, generates a Kenyan cuisine recipe using JavaScript's responsiveness. Improving my JavaScript skills and building something that felt meaningful really boosted my confidence as a developer. I am really proud of what I've created through the lessons given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

An exciting workshop with plenty of challenges. I learned how to make a multipage website complete with navigation bar and footer incorporating social media links. I used Bootstrap, Wireframes and other tools. It was satisfying to see it become fully responsive for both mobile and desktop. It put my troubleshooting to the test too. I was proud that I managed to solve an issue that came up by myself by really examining all the code ,researching until I finally asked myself the right question. I was pleased with the final result .

Ive been taking this frontend development course for a while now, and honestly, its been such a good experience. I am currently learning how to build responsive websites, and things are finally starting to ‘click’ for me. I did take a long break at one point, and I was worried that I would forget everything, but jumping back in felt way easier than I expected. The lessons are clear, practical and they really help you understand what you’re doing instead of just following steps. Learning responsive web design through SheCodes was challenging at times, but incredibly empowering once I caught on and was able to create an efficient website. I developed practical skills in media queries, flexible grids, and mobile-first techniques that transformed how I approach web development.

Building the React Weather App was such a fun project! I got to use everything I’ve learned about React — hooks, APIs, and responsive design — and it was so satisfying to see live weather data update in real time. It really boosted my confidence in creating interactive apps from scratch.
