I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basic workshop. It made learning the coding fundamentals fun and easy to understand. Now I’m excited to continue learning and explore more advanced coding skills!

I really enjoyed this course though it was challenging. It was fun to build weather app from scratch and push through the challenges.

This was the most fun I've had in a while! After learning so many new things in the previous courses, this project reminded me of the power of pure HTML and CSS. Being able to build a website without JavaScript was really satisfying! Diving into CSS Grids, HTML tables, and figuring out how to make it all responsive was incredibly fun and rewarding!

The SheCodes Responsive Add-On challenged me in the best way possible. I struggled initially with HTML structure, specifically fixing div closures and getting card layouts with embedded maps to display consistently. The course's hands-on approach forced me to debug real issues, which taught me more than any tutorial could. What clicked for me: understanding grid systems, properly nesting elements, and making design decisions that showcase technical skills to recruiters. I went from copying instructor code to confidently customising my project with Nairobi's innovation ecosystem, complete with iHub co-working spaces and strategic content that demonstrates product marketing thinking. The freedom to personalise my project while learning responsive fundamentals made this course incredibly practical. If you want to build portfolio-worthy work while mastering responsive design, this course delivers.

Matt made coding easier to understand and fun.

I always thought coding was difficult, but I am learning that it is quite easy and fun. Shecode made it easy to understand and implement.

I’m really grateful for my experience with SheCodes and excited to have earned my SheCodes Basics Add-on certificate. The lessons gave me confidence, and each challenge helped me learn something new. The She Codes Plus Add-On really levelled up my skills. I learned how to integrate multiple APIs and built a fully functioning dictionary app. The lessons were clear, practical, and gave me real confidence as a developer.

This one was a lot of fun and really tough. Learned new methods of coding with CSS and JavaScript especially, and understand how powerful JS truly is. I enjoyed learning, and will take these skills to practice more!

The Responsive course final project was challenging yet totally fun! The knowledge I gained in Bootstrap directly applies to making any website responsive, and it showed me how many options you have to design a website based on your preferred style. The section on wireframes was incredibly useful and has me thinking constantly about how I can improve the design for users visiting my site. Another great learning experience!

I originally signed up for the Python course, but trying the beginner HTML, CSS, and JavaScript track has been unexpectedly fun. I really enjoyed diving into the basics, experimenting with different styles, and understanding how everything fits together. The exercises are super well-designed, the explanations are clear and helpful, and I’m honestly excited for the next part of the workshop. It’s been a great learning experience so far!

The more you study more , the more it gets interesting and more complex and thats where the fun part comes out and you enjoy doing it

How fun to create your own AI generator!

This was a very fun project to do and it has helped me understand JavaScript better, besides improving my HTML and CSS skills. Highly recommend it and I am excited to learn more!

The course was fun and very useful! I liked that part of the learning was through trying myself and making mistakes. It made me proud to figure out solutions, and I always knew that I could ask for help if I needed it.

SheCodes Basics gave me my first real confidence in coding. I never thought I could create something on my own, but now I can build simple websites and understand the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I’ve just completed the Python module from the SheCodes course. Throughout these weeks, I learned to work with Python functions, interact with external APIs, and manipulate dates using methods like strftime. Thanks to the course, I now feel confident defining functions, handling lists and dictionaries, working with time-based data, and connecting to external services — all through hands-on, practical exercises. This technical progress has given me a solid foundation to continue growing. I know there is still a lot to learn, but I now have the tools to build real, functional projects. Overall, this course has been a key step in my transition into web development.

The React Add-on workshop was a great experience! Building a fully functional Dictionary App helped me understand React concepts like components, API integration, and state management in a practical and fun way. I’m proud of the result and excited to keep learning and creating more projects with React!

This was so fun! I loved using Python and AI to create something useful! It was a lot easier than I thought it would be - and I could do most of it without looking things up, which I was very proud of. I will have fun playing around with this to create lots of different tools.

This workshop was fantastic! I received some extremely helpful assistance, and the directions were quite clear. I learned the fundamentals of coding in a logical and simple manner. Anyone just starting out should definitely check it out, in my opinion!

Great work and idealogy and it was fun even though I was not regular.

I created a really good looking webpage that is fully responsive - without the use of any frameworks (made use of Bootstrap for the previous project). It was fun!

Though advanced in years, I have found a new toy - challenging but fun. I hope to practice until I am better at it and can produce something visually pleasing as well as useful content. This was a great reinforcement of both Python and AI! I am doing so much better at just remembering how to build and call functions without having to look up previous work I've done as a reference. I am very excited to see what we encounter in the Advanced Python course!

I loved revisiting and strengthening my knowledge Python in this basics module. The weather app was really fun, and I was able to do most of it without support, which made me feel great! Building this AI joke generator was actually so much fun! I learned how to work with APIs and create a chat interface that feels really interactive. The best part was making it South African-themed with jokes about load shedding and Eskom - it's relatable and hilarious!

The Basics Add on Workshop gave me the opportunity to build on what I had already learned in the Basics course. I worked with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in ways that made more sense than before, especially through the small projects and exercises. Seeing my code actually work and produce results was motivating and helped me understand how different parts fit together. The workshop allowed me to work at my own pace, which was important because it gave me time to fully understand concepts I found tricky. I also learned to approach problems more systematically and gained confidence in experimenting with code without fear of making mistakes. Overall, this workshop strengthened my coding skills, reinforced my understanding of the fundamentals, and gave me the confidence to continue learning. It was a rewarding experience that made me feel capable of taking on bigger coding challenges.

It was good fun and I decided to make a multi choice AI generator rather than a single option generator. I tried to use all the learned skills so far and remind myself of how far I have come as a newbie!

Coding always seemed cool to me, but the thought of going to school and learning it for 3-4 years made me put it off. I discovered SheCodes and joined the free workshop. Turns out, I could learn the basics in just a few weeks as a beginner! I love how the workshop is organized into bite-sized information. I was dreading to do the challenges when I first signed up, but I had so much fun. My personal favourite was completing the final project on one of my passions!
