The Python AI workshop was honestly one of the most exciting two weeks of my coding journey so far! Coming in with some Python basics, I wasn't sure what to expect, but by the end I had built a fully functional AI-powered travel planner that gives live weather data and generates personalised road trip itineraries.I also got to work with Rich, a library that adds colors and styling to your output, and lets you render Markdown directly in the terminal, which made the AI generated itineraries look clean and readable instead of a wall of plain text.I can't wait to see what's next!

My journey with SheCodes has been incredibly meaningful and has become a true example of resilience and discipline in my life. I started the program two years ago, but along the way I faced several personal challenges that made it difficult to continue. I became ill during that time, and later I also experienced the loss of my grandmother, which was very difficult for me. Despite everything, I made the decision to return and complete the course when I was able to, and I am very grateful that I did. Coming back to SheCodes has been a truly positive experience. I enjoyed every part of the learning process, had fun building projects, and learned a lot of valuable skills. Even on difficult days, coding helped me stay focused, distracted in a healthy way, and motivated me to keep building a better future for myself. I really enjoyed the Python AI course. I had already learned the basics of Python and built a weather app with the SheCodes Weather API, but this course made it even more fun. We built a travel itinerary planner that used both the Weather API and the AI API, and I loved seeing how they worked together. It was a really fun project!
I came into this course with some coding experience from the previous workshops, but Python was completely new to me and SheCodes Python Basics made the transition so smooth! In just six weeks, I went from learning basic syntax to building a real weather app that pulls live data from an API and displays it with colored terminal output using rich. Along the way I picked up Python's approach to variables, functions, loops, dictionaries, and error handling and seeing how quickly those pieces came together to build something functional was incredibly rewarding. I now have practical skills which i can actually use and I can't wait to see what else I can build with Python!

As someone who has tried coding at least four different times during my life - and failed miserably each time - SheCodes has definitely been a breath of fresh air! My previous coding experiences have always seemed to follow the same pattern: Everything would be easy and understandable at first, but somewhere along the line, coding would suddenly just stop making sense. My classmates always seemed to get it, but I just didn't. This wrecked my confidence and made me resent coding for a while, which was a shame because I have always wanted to learn how to code! SheCodes Python Advanced workshop was an incredible journey that took my coding skills to the next level. Before this course, I had a basic understanding of Python but this workshop gave me the confidence to work with real-world data, APIs and visualization tools. I learned how to read and manipulate CSV files, work with complex data structures like lists and dictionaries, filter and analyze data and create meaningful visualizations using Matplotlib. One of the most exciting parts was building the Travel Itinerary Planner where I integrated both AI and Weather APIs to create a fully functional project. I also learned how to write clean, documented and well-organized code following best practices. The lessons were clear, practical, and project-based which made learning enjoyable and effective. The support from the SheCodes community and instructors was amazing throughout the journey. I am incredibly proud of what I have accomplished in just a few weeks. I really enjoyed learning Python! Since I had already worked with APIs in JavaScript, it was interesting to see how API requests and data handling work in a different language. In the last week of the course, we built a weather app using the SheCodes Weather API. Bringing together everything covered in the course, from working with functions and dictionaries to making API requests and processing and presenting real-time weather data, gave me a clearer understanding of the language. The project helped me feel more comfortable building real applications with Python.

The React Add-on week was the most fun I had in the whole Bootcamp. After the earlier weeks β which honestly tested my patience with a lot of debugging β everything started to click here. Building the Dictionary app piece by piece (search, definitions, synonyms, audio pronunciation, photos) and then designing it with my own branding was genuinely enjoyable. By the end I had a polished project that integrates three different APIs and actually looks like mine. Seeing it all come together, live and deployed, was a real confidence boost and a great way to finish the course. Building "Hike Scotland" with Claude & Vercel The fun part: I'd already built Hike Scotland once before β by hand in PHP for a uni project I passed. So coming back to the same idea with AI coding gave me a real before-and-after. Two things blew me away. First, the speed β I could rebuild big chunks of the site or add whole new features in a fraction of the time. An interactive map with location markers, for example, would've been a real fight in my PHP version; here it just came together. Honestly, the AI-built site ended up with way more scope than my hand-coded one. Second, how much my earlier experience helped. Because I'd built this exact site before, I knew exactly what I wanted β and that made working with Claude so much more powerful. The AI gave me speed, but knowing the project inside out let me steer it instead of just taking whatever came out. AI doesn't replace understanding β it amplifies it. Came away faster, more confident, and pretty proud of the result.
I came into SheCodes Basics with some basic knowledge, but I left being able to build a webpage from scratch, write real JavaScript, and actually understand how coding works - not just copy it. The course is well-structured, approachable, and genuinely fun. I would 100% recommend it to any woman who's curious about coding, whether you're a complete beginner or just need a proper foundation. When I started to coded with The SheCodes courses, I was very curious, but also a little nervous because the world of programming seemed huge and complicated. However, from the very first lessons, I discovered a clear, practical, and friendly learning method that allowed me to progress step by step. I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basic workshop. π€ Before starting, I had almost no coding experience apart from occasionally working with developers and hearing technical terms at work. While I still have a lot to learn, the workshop was a motivating first step that helped me understand the basics and made coding feel much less intimidating. π Iβm not a particularly fast learner, and I often went back to rewatch videos or review previous lessons. However, the course was structured in a way that allowed me to keep up and gradually build up knowledge. Kudos to Matt - he's a great teacher who explains concepts clearly and in an easy-to-understand manner. The short video lessons and well-structured weekly modules never felt overwhelming.β¨ One of my favorite aspects of the workshop were the mini-assignments after most lessons. They encouraged me to actively actively use what I had just learned instead of only watching videos. While I still need to look up many things, I now have a much better understanding of the fundamentals and feel motivated to continue my SheCodes journey. π

This was my first proper project with SheCodes and it was a huge milestone in my coding journey. Building a fully functional weather app gave me the opportunity to apply everything I had learned so far from HTML and CSS to JavaScript and working with APIs The project challenged me to think independently, troubleshoot issues, and find solutions when things didn't work as expected. Seeing the app come together step by step and eventually work with live weather data was incredibly rewarding What I appreciated the most about SheCodes was the balance between clear explanations and hands-on practice. Instead of just learning theory, I was able to build a real project that I can confidently add to my portfolio. Completing this weather app has given me much more confidence in my coding abilities and has motivated me to keep learning and building new projects I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone looking for a practical and supportive way to learn web development, it was an amazing experience ππ©βπ»
