Just finished SheCodes Plus Add-On and I’m leaving a genuine 5⭐ review. I went purposefully slower on this one because I wanted to actually retain things, not just sprint to the finish. I’m really glad I did. The course is structured properly, the lessons build in a sensible order, and the final World Clock project pulls everything together in a way that makes it stick. Also yes, I went a bit beyond the brief 😂 but I’m proud of this build. Something clicked for me here, especially around state (what the app is “remembering”) and DOM nodes (what actually exists on the page). Once that clicked, debugging got way less chaotic and way more methodical. I’m not just following steps now, I understand what I’m changing and why. Huge thanks to SheCodes and Matt Delac (founder + instructor) for making it approachable without dumbing it down. Next up for me: I’m building a combination project for extra practice, then onto the next course.

This final project for the SheCodes Python Advanced course represents my progress in understanding more complex Python concepts such as working with real CSV data, structuring it dynamically, and creating meaningful visualizations. Through step-by-step guidance from the wonderful instructor Matt Delac, combined with my own additional research, I was able to grasp not just how the code works but why it works. The guided coding process helped me develop cleaner, more readable code and a deeper understanding of Python fundamentals.

I have finally completed the SheCodes Plus Workshop. These past few weeks have been a bit challenging, balancing between school work and the program. I am glad that my hard work did pay, with late nights trying to meet weekly deadlines. I also love what I created in my final project, a weather app with a search engine that displays the weather conditions of the city searched, as well as the city's 5-day weather forecast. I got to polish my JavaScript skills with the help of the weekly lessons and homeworks given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

This project was a game changer, it required me to go back to previous workshops and actually understand the concept of React. And I liked the fact that our instructor was using a different API than ours. So this was not just following our instructor it was actually testing, deleting, coding and deleting again and recapping before it all made sense. The little struggle was worth it and I am confident in my skills now.

I’ve just completed the basic Python course, and while I have to admit that the instructor was right: Python’s interface can look a bit dull and not very visually exciting. I still learned a great deal from the lessons. The course started off simple, but it gradually became more complex, especially toward the end, so I’m proud to have worked through it and finished. Even though the visual side of Python isn’t flashy, the logic and structure behind the language are really powerful, and I feel like I now have a strong foundation to build on. I’m glad I stuck with it and completed the course. 😅

In SheCodes Plus, I built a fully interactive weather app with forecast data and learned modern ES6 patterns, API integration, and Git/GitHub workflows. In SheCodes Plus AI, I learned practical prompt design and integrated an AI API to build my Corporate AI Translator, focusing on clean UX, loading states, and accessibility. In SheCodes Plus Add-On, I developed a World Clock with live time zones (the most challenging one so far) using timezone libraries and interval updates for real time accuracy. What I valued most: Hands-on projects, clear instructor guidance, and feedback from the SheCodes community. Matt was, as usual, an excellent—knowledgeable, clear, and very engaging instructor. I came away feeling much more confident in my ability to build pages that offer a seamless experience across all devices. Highly recommended for anyone looking to level up their responsive design skills.

I truly enjoyed being part of the SheCodes community. I not only learned the concepts but also put them into practice. I even deployed a final project. It was a great experience to complete a final task each week. I was always excited to see what the next week would bring. I loved how the instructor taught us each thing step by step. Additionally, the most rewarding aspect was creating content for fundamental topics that are often overlooked, such as deployment, API usage, and API documentation.

I would say that my experience so far has been amazing. I loved the entire layout of the course and how each aspect was taught step by step. Kudos to the instructor, Matt Delac! He is wonderful and truly knows how to teach. Understanding coding in its entirety is one thing, but knowing how to effectively teach it to others is another. I recently joined a programming class, and it has been an amazing experience. The lessons are clear, well-structured, and easy to follow. Basics Add-on was a great compliment to the Basics course and taught me all kinds of cool coding tricks which I was already wondering how to do after finishing Basics. I was surprised at how easy it was to grasp. Matt is a really good instructor and lays these concepts out quite well.

You are learning while working the project alongside the instructor and getting used to applying the code and what all the java and css elements can do and how to apply them.

I began and finished the course with high enthusiasm because the instructor, Matt Delac was very clear with his explanations. Also, the leverage to learn at anytime made room to understand and grasp concepts with the help of google. It was an interesting journey of deep thinking and sometimes frustration because one mistake even an unclosed curly brackets could hault the code from running. I am grateful for the skills I have acquired thus far and I look forward to many more.

Adding JavaScript to HTML was very interesting and more on the challenging side, but the instructor took it step by step and made everything possible. I didn't know I was capable until I put my mind to it. To more learning!
