I also love what I created in my final project, a weather app with a search engine that displays the weather conditions of the city searched, as well as the city's 5-day weather forecast. I got to polish my JavaScript skills with the help of the weekly lessons and homeworks given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

SheCodes Plus was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be. But that's probably because I got to practise and repeat a lot. In this workshop I was able to build on the skills that I learned from the SheCodes Basic. I learned how to cope when my code doesn't work and where/what to look for bugs. But because this workshop was building off the basics, I was able to spend more time exploring CSS and see what I can do with what I have learned.

Over these weeks, I had the opportunity to build a weather app from scratchโa huge milestone, especially since it was my first time working with tools like GitHub and exploring AI integration. At first, it felt overwhelming because I had no prior experience, but step by step I learned, practiced, and grew more confident.
I'm so happy I took the leap and enrolled in SheCodes Plus! It was a great challenge and definitely a step up, but I found so much joy in learning about APIs, DevOps, frameworks, and how to deploy a website. The topics felt a little overwhelming at first, but the lessons were a total game-changer. They made me feel at ease knowing I could learn at my own pace and build my confidence without any pressure. Each lesson is a clear, step-by-step walkthrough, which made it so easy to tackle the challenges and complete the final project. I'm excited to put these new skills to work on real-world projects!

I've just completed SheCodes Plus! Even though my JS knowledge is still rough, I feel like I'm starting to slowly understand the logic behind it. It shows that through a steady pace-learning, you can do so much progress.
What I learned the most in this course is that 'default' and 'devault' may rhyme in German, but in JavaScript they rhyme with undefined (just kidding). Like Matt said at the end of SheCodes Plus, the project itself may look simple, but the journey it's a little bit more complicated than that. Along with SheCodes training, I watched support material, burned through all my hosting credits, which led me to a side quest through CloudFlare setup training + GitHub repo literacy. In the end, my little vanilla weather app not only works, it also gained much more confidence, each bug fixed, each feature added made the whole process feel more real.
This add-on is a very great addition to the plus workshop and I highly recommend, doing it along with the Shecodes plus and plus-AI workshops
