I’ve worked closely with front-end engineers and have had some familiarity with the process but never fully understood the structure and design language behind it. Amid the numerous graduation ceremonies happening this month, I’m thrilled to officially announce my “graduation” from the SheCodes Front-End Development program. This has been an immensely rewarding journey, as both a technical achievement and a personal milestone. It has been a challenging journey for me but the short structured lessons were of great help. I appreciate the self -paced lessons and the youtube videos attatched. They were of much help especially when it came to use of Git hub. I was supposed to have submitted my week 8 project in Jan 12 2026. Am happy I didn't quit and I have completed it in April. The SheCodes React course has been an incredible six weeks. Matt has a rare ability to take complex concepts and make them feel approachable, always guiding you through the journey step by step, no matter the challenge. What excited me most was discovering a completely new way of thinking about code. Learning to build with components, manage state, map through live data, and structure a full component tree unlocked a new level of thinking about how web products are built. The moment things started clicking — functions inside functions, components talking to each other — was really satisfying. React made me want to keep building. That says everything about how much this course inspired me. A huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for yet another rewarding and eye-opening learning experience. I cannot wait to keep exploring how far React can take me.

Greetings everybody, initially when I joined the SheCodes workshop I was struggling with almost everything, during the workshop classes I've managed to learn to build landing pages, with skills gained during the classes, place me on cloud nine. I highly recommend the workshop to every women out there who wants to understand and fit in the 21st century technology. Hats off to teacher Matt Delac and his team for clear lesson presentations, truly appreciated. Lastly, I would like to thank the SheDreams Foundation for granting me the opportunity to study coding.

Learning React proved to be the most challenging aspect of my journey so far. I appreciate the support, patience, and knowledge-sharing from the SheCodes team, which significantly helped my understanding of this framework.

This was admittedly a challenging workshop, but extremely worth it! I'm really pleased with my final project. As with all the previous workshops, the guidance and support from the team was excellent. Matt does a really great job of breaking things down in order to explain the "plumbing" of how a react app works and describing what the code is doing at certain stages, (such as in the case of how the props are passing through to the other components and how the useStates help to set and define the data for further functions to operate). It made it really accessible and digestible to someone who still feels relatively new to coding!

Loved learning about Python, I find myself thinking about the coding and challenges during the day, being 54 I thought I couldn't grasp SheCodes courses, Matt Delac, has made the lessons really good to follow, looking forward to moving onto the other courses. Thank you SHECODES team

I was devastated I couldn't study IT this year due to financial issues. However, when I was introduced to SheCodes by a relative, I was ecstatic! There was another method I could learn how to code. I want to thank Matt and the team for giving me the opportunity to learn. The videos were straightforward and easy to learn. Had little knowledge on coding from high school, but the educators did not teach me well as Matt.

The SheCodes Plus Course was quite detailed and carefully explained by Matt. It was quite tasking and required dedication and seriousness on the part of the students. This has quite possibly been the most rewarding of all the SheCodes workshops so far! Matt does a really fabulous job of guiding you step by step through the process of building your own fully responsive and professional looking portfolio page. I also really appreciate how honest the video tutorials are in that Matt doesn't edit out any of the "oops, something's not working in my page/ my code has crashed" moments, not hiding the reality of how common place it is for all Developers of all experience levels to inevitably encounter problems that require a little problem solving. The support team were also really helpful when I ran into a bit of a hitch, getting back to me really quickly! The SheCodes team really do offer an excellent service!

This part of the course was very challenging, but it feels amazing to complete it and understand what I am doing. I am so grateful for the amazing lessons by Matt and the SheCodes team.

This is an amazing way to learn to code. The teaching is clear, straightforward, and the examples are so helpful. I really appreciate that there is some wiggle room with how you actually write your code. As long as it is valid and adheres to engineering principles, the team gives it a thumbs-up. This Responsive Add-on course was a wonderful continuation of the Responsive workshop. It helped me deepen my understanding of how to refine layouts and create more polished responsive pages using CSS Grid and media queries. I particularly enjoyed focusing on the small design details that make a page feel structured and user-friendly across different screen sizes. The final project was especially meaningful for me because it allowed me to create a responsive landing page honouring the ‘Mothers of Technology’ and celebrating the women who helped shape the foundations of our digital world. I also enjoyed integrating elements such as embeds and responsive media into the page while adapting and refining the layout throughout the project. A big thank you to Matt and the SheCodes Team 💜 for another inspiring and rewarding learning experience!

I had very little coding experience; the last time I touched HTML was editing my blog as a teenager. Curious and eager to learn, I joined the SheCodes course. The lessons are easy to follow, and each challenge really helped me understand things better. Learning at my own pace let me go back and re-study anything I didn’t get the first time. I loved every hands-on project, and by the end, I couldn’t believe I had built a fully functional landing page for my favourite Formula 1 team. It was such a confidence boost and made me excited to keep coding!

Loved this! I honestly can't rate the support features provided by the SheCodes team highly enough! I used the Athena AI for the first time when I ran into some difficulty importing a package to my HTML for Javascript and it helped me resolve the issue within about 10 minutes. These courses really are so well paced. Suitably challenging but feels accessible at the same time. The endless resources provided also help enormously!

Great course, simple to follow along with. There are some very challenging parts in this week's project but the She Codes team are really responsive and available to help. This is my final project and can't recommend the Bootcamp course enough. I went from almost zero knowledge to a full portfolio and the readiness to change career. If anyone is unsure how to start of in the tech world, get onto these courses!

Completing the SheCodes Plus Add‑on has been a really rewarding experience that helped me deepen my understanding of front‑end development in a practical, hands‑on way. Over the two weeks, I learned how to work with more advanced JavaScript concepts and apply them to build a fully functional World Clock application. In Week 1, I explored new HTML input types and select elements, which helped me understand how to create more interactive and user‑friendly forms. I also learned how to use JavaScript timing events, work with different date formats, and handle global time zones — all skills that felt technical at first but became much clearer through the structured lessons and challenges. Week 2 brought everything together through the World Clock project. I built the layout using HTML and CSS, then added JavaScript to display the time for single and multiple locations, update the clock in real time, and show the user’s local time. Seeing the project come to life step by step really boosted my confidence and showed me how these individual skills combine to create something polished and functional. The Plus Add‑on has strengthened my understanding of advanced JavaScript and improved my ability to build interactive features from scratch. I enjoyed every bit of the SheCodes Basics Add-on Workshop. I was able to create a beautiful page featuring grids, animations, transforms, etc. It challenged me further than the SheCodes Basics workshop, and I so love it. Is it okay to start feeling like a developer already? Because that is how I currently feel 😁. Thanks a lot, Matt and the whole SheCodes Team.

This basic coding workshop was an excellent introduction to programming. The material was well-structured and easy to follow. Everything was explained step by step, and the hands-on exercises really helped the concepts click - but caution: it's highly addictive! ;) I am already thinking about purchasing more workshops! Thank you very much SheCodes team! It has been a wonderful three weeks of learning the basics of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I went from zero coding knowledge to building my first interactive landscape website, which felt incredible. The lessons were clear, practical, and perfectly paced for beginners. I'm looking forward to applying this knowledge at work and pursuing a management role in digital, coming from a post-production background. SheCodes gave me the confidence and skills to make this career transition possible.

Designing a dark theme was a fun and motivating experience. It allowed me to think ahead about future improvements and encouraged me to learn more about different styling approaches and how they are implemented in code. I also enjoyed experimenting with animations alongside the dark theme, which helped me explore how small interactive details can improve the user experience. Although working with JavaScript can be challenging to understand when writing it, it motivates me to keep practising and improving my understanding of how functions work, as it has the potential to do so much. Thank you to Matt and the team for providing clear explanations that were easy to follow.

I was always curious about coding, and I wanted to learn more, so I decided to attend this class and it did not disappoint. Having no prior knowledge to any of this stuff, sometimes it was hard, but seeing it all come together in a project at the end, I can say it was worth it. Thank you so much also to the team for helping me on slack, when I had some problems.

I’ve just finished my next SheCodes course and I can genuinely say it’s one of the most confidence-boosting things I’ve done in a long time. I went from “I vaguely know what HTML is” to building and deploying a fully working web app with JavaScript, APIs, and proper UX logic — and somehow enjoying the debugging along the way (stockholm syndrome, maybe?). What I loved about SheCodes is that it doesn’t just tell you what to type — it explains why. So when something broke (and it did, repeatedly!), I wasn’t panicking… I was actually able to reason my way through it. By the end, I’d built a Tattoo Concept Generator that takes user input, handles loading states and errors, and is live on the internet — which still feels a bit surreal. The lessons are clear, practical, and friendly without being patronising. You’re encouraged to experiment, make mistakes, and improve things step by step, which made everything click in a way tutorials never had for me before. If you’re curious about coding but slightly terrified of it, SheCodes is a brilliant place to start. You come out with real skills, real projects, and the quiet confidence of someone who now knows how to Google things properly. Huge thanks once again to Matt Delac and the whole SheCodes Team!

Learning Python Basics was really fun! Matt explained everything clearly and in an easy-to-understand way. Creating projects from scratch and then developing them further lesson by lesson is a great way to review what you've learned and see your own progress. The given free resources for further reading and diving deeper into topics such as Python code formatting were also very helpful! The SheCodes team and community were always there to answer questions, to give feedback and to cheer you on. :)

The final project brought everything together—building an interactive AI‑driven application, refining prompts, handling API responses, and applying clean, accessible front‑end design.
