SheCodes workshop is a great place to learn coding and Matt is an excellent teacher. He teaches coding in a systematic, interesting and fun way. I've really enjoyed learning coding, I feel have learnt a lot and I had fun along the way. I can say now that I can code. Looking forward to learning more... I enjoyed every bit of the SheCodes Basics Add-on Workshop. I was able to create a beautiful page featuring grids, animations, transforms, etc. It challenged me further than the SheCodes Basics workshop, and I so love it. Is it okay to start feeling like a developer already? Because that is how I currently feel 😁. Thanks a lot, Matt and the whole SheCodes Team.

This basic coding workshop was an excellent introduction to programming. The material was well-structured and easy to follow. Everything was explained step by step, and the hands-on exercises really helped the concepts click - but caution: it's highly addictive! ;) I am already thinking about purchasing more workshops! Thank you very much SheCodes team! It has been a wonderful three weeks of learning the basics of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I went from zero coding knowledge to building my first interactive landscape website, which felt incredible. The lessons were clear, practical, and perfectly paced for beginners. I'm looking forward to applying this knowledge at work and pursuing a management role in digital, coming from a post-production background. SheCodes gave me the confidence and skills to make this career transition possible.

Designing a dark theme was a fun and motivating experience. It allowed me to think ahead about future improvements and encouraged me to learn more about different styling approaches and how they are implemented in code. I also enjoyed experimenting with animations alongside the dark theme, which helped me explore how small interactive details can improve the user experience. Although working with JavaScript can be challenging to understand when writing it, it motivates me to keep practising and improving my understanding of how functions work, as it has the potential to do so much. Thank you to Matt and the team for providing clear explanations that were easy to follow.

I love every bit of the SheCodes Basics courses. Each lesson is well-detailed, yet easy to understand. I can't believe I was able to do the final project all by myself- I had zero knowledge of coding before joining SheCodes. I was always curious about coding, and I wanted to learn more, so I decided to attend this class and it did not disappoint. Having no prior knowledge to any of this stuff, sometimes it was hard, but seeing it all come together in a project at the end, I can say it was worth it. Thank you so much also to the team for helping me on slack, when I had some problems.

I’ve just finished my next SheCodes course and I can genuinely say it’s one of the most confidence-boosting things I’ve done in a long time. I went from “I vaguely know what HTML is” to building and deploying a fully working web app with JavaScript, APIs, and proper UX logic — and somehow enjoying the debugging along the way (stockholm syndrome, maybe?). What I loved about SheCodes is that it doesn’t just tell you what to type — it explains why. So when something broke (and it did, repeatedly!), I wasn’t panicking… I was actually able to reason my way through it. By the end, I’d built a Tattoo Concept Generator that takes user input, handles loading states and errors, and is live on the internet — which still feels a bit surreal. The lessons are clear, practical, and friendly without being patronising. You’re encouraged to experiment, make mistakes, and improve things step by step, which made everything click in a way tutorials never had for me before. If you’re curious about coding but slightly terrified of it, SheCodes is a brilliant place to start. You come out with real skills, real projects, and the quiet confidence of someone who now knows how to Google things properly. Huge thanks once again to Matt Delac and the whole SheCodes Team!

Learning Python Basics was really fun! Matt explained everything clearly and in an easy-to-understand way. Creating projects from scratch and then developing them further lesson by lesson is a great way to review what you've learned and see your own progress. The given free resources for further reading and diving deeper into topics such as Python code formatting were also very helpful! The SheCodes team and community were always there to answer questions, to give feedback and to cheer you on. :)

React add on course was quite challenging for me. It required me to think critically. There were times i even got headaches because i was failling to figure out were i was getting it all wrong. Fortunately, SheCodes has a platform called Slacks where you can ask all challenging questions and get help from the Shecodes team and team mates. Would like to thank Matt for this opportunity. Although I hold a degree in Computer Engineering, I never had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in frontend development over time, that gap affected my confidence and made returning to the IT industry feel challenging. It was a very challenging workshop especially for someone like me who is relatively new to coding. The step-by-step lesson videos, the SheCodes site resources, and the support staff team on Slack helped guide me to successfully complete my final project. It feels very rewarding to complete this phase of my journey of learning to code.

I didn't think it was possible to create an AI using html, js and css. It's been a revolutionary journye. I am really glad i studied even with me asking for so many extensions. I am glad i completed this course. It has been an skill gaining like all the courses. A great thanks to the she codes team for all their effort.

A valuable workshop with yet more complexity and new challenges. I really enjoyed learning how to embed maps, videos and social media to a web page and making it responsive. I created a page with multiple sections and used grids to organise the content. It was satisfying to produce a professional standard site and use industry tools. Excellent instruction, guidance and team support when needed. I am building the confidence in fixing bugs when they occur.

I really enjoyed building the dictionary application as challenging as it was. I look forward to learning more React concepts in the future. Thank you to the SheCodes Team for the continuous guidance.

Hands down one of my favourite workshops. The workshops have been arranged so that you can get to this point. If you were to start here without any background in coding you would feel like you were on a different plane. Everything that we were taught from the beginning with HTML, CSS, Javascript embedded code from Google Fonts and Font Awesome set us up to be able to understand how to use Bootstrap, Responsive as well as other platforms. I am so very proud of myself and all that I have accomplished so far. A huge thank you to Matt and the team. I am nearing the end of my SheCodes journey as a student and will soon hopefully start a chapter as a Junior Developer. I feel confident, hopeful and excited to enter it and it's all because of these fantastic workshops. To other students out there, I don’t know where you may be on your learning journey whether you are a student or thinking about becoming one. I want to encourage you to start or continue on this path. It’s not easy but step-by-step, little by little you will get there. There’s a great team and other students here to cheer you on.

I took this starter class as part of my professional development as a brand manager. I have dabbled very lightly in HTML and a little bit of CSS in the past but nothing too in-depth. I, like many other students, found the course structure very helpful! With as complex a topic as this, Matt does an excellent job of breaking down the different skills in very digestible chunks. The lesson videos are never more than 10 minutes or so, and he provides so many resources to find help, connect with other students, or learn the basic tools that are industry standards. The way he walked through each video was also very encouraging and I never felt dumb. I honestly found the course not too challenging (not to say I didn't get slightly held up at points) which I think is a testament to how well taught it is. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!

I am amazed at how this learning process has given me the confidence to code an entire website. The last time I did it, I used WordPress, and everything seemed so confusing — doable, but confusing, because I didn’t understand the background of what I was doing. But now, I can build it from scratch and personalize everything I need and want. I learned about SheCodes when someone in one of my WhatsApp groups shared a post about a coding workshop for women in development. Although I faced challenges such as limited study time, I requested deadline extensions for homework and, later, for the workshop itself. Despite these obstacles, I completed the Basic Workshop. The video lessons were easy to learn and engaging, making me glad I registered for the workshop. This experience provides a good foundation for me as I intend to explore the use of computer programming in teaching, learning, and research. Thank you, Matt, and the team at Delac Foundation.

I won't lie - this workshop was intense! As someone transitioning into tech at a later stage in life, I'll admit there were moments when I questioned if I was in over my head. The course is pretty straightforward, if you enjoy math, you're definitely going to like this. Completing the React portion of the SheCodes course feels like a truly monumental victory. The journey to this point has been incredibly demanding, but achieving this milestone shows me what I'm capable of. I am currently in school for a degree in media and communications studies. I also freelance as a social media manager, so I thought to myself, why not try to create a website for your brand and see what it feels like? I looked for affordable courses online where I could learn how to build a basic website from scratch, which is where I came across SheCodes. It's been a wonderful experience playing around with colors, fonts, and understanding what goes into building a functional website. I enjoyed every section of it. Learning with this Python module has been such an interesting challenge. After this process, I can now clearly see how to optimize day-to-day processes in my office, better organize files, and understand patterns.
