In just four weeks, I’ve gone from having no coding experience to building a full project using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The course is fast paced and packed with valuable content, which makes it both challenging and exciting. What I love most is the hands-on approach, you learn by doing, making mistakes, and improving along the way. It’s incredibly rewarding to see everything come together into a real website. A month ago, I wouldn’t have believed I could do this. This has been such a fun and empowering introduction to coding.

I had very little coding experience; the last time I touched HTML was editing my blog as a teenager. Curious and eager to learn, I joined the SheCodes course. The lessons are easy to follow, and each challenge really helped me understand things better. Learning at my own pace let me go back and re-study anything I didn’t get the first time. I loved every hands-on project, and by the end, I couldn’t believe I had built a fully functional landing page for my favourite Formula 1 team. It was such a confidence boost and made me excited to keep coding!

Learning how to code has completely changed how I see tech. In this course, I not only learned the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but also how to integrate AI into my projects using APIs. Understanding how prompts work, how to handle AI responses, and how to debug real world issues made everything feel practical and powerful. It’s been challenging at times, but incredibly empowering. I now feel confident building interactive, AI driven features on my own.

I’ve absolutely loved my experience with SheCodes so far! I recently completed the Basics Add-On project week, and it was such a rewarding challenge. The lessons are broken down in a way that makes coding feel approachable and manageable, even when you're learning something completely new. The project week really helped solidify what I’d learned. It pushed me to apply my knowledge in a practical way, which boosted my confidence so much. I now feel more comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I can actually see how everything connects together. What I appreciate most is how supportive and well-structured the course is. The explanations are clear, the challenges are engaging, and completing each task feels like a real accomplishment. The SheCodes Responsive course was a turning point for me. Something clicked when I stopped just following along with the professor's code and started building my own project with my own creative choices. Every time I ran into a problem and had to figure it out myself, I actually retained it. I came out of this course feeling like a developer with my own style, not just someone who can copy and paste. If you're on the fence, just know that the real learning happens when you start making it your own.

i loved every second of it. It is user friendly, very easy to understand and the challenges and homework after each video makes it easier to practice and understand what we are learning.

The Workshop continues to be a life changing process with the highs and lows, this one has been challenging but with determination it is doable. Thank you very much for this great learning opportunity again

This workshop was so fun and i really learned lots! Working with API can be tricky, but it was so interesting once i got the hang of it. It is such a cool thing to be able to connect with the world through programs like we do today, so im grateful to this course for teaching me more about it.

This AI workshop has been a game changer — I’ve learned so much and gained the confidence to build real, AI-powered projects from scratch.

I didn't just learn to code with SheCodes. I discovered that the poet in me and the developer in me were always the same person. I came in as a published author and founder with zero formal tech training. I'm leaving as a full-stack developer who has built a weather app that maps emotions to healing rituals, an accessibility platform, a K53 practice app for South Africans, and a live portfolio that international companies are already noticing. SheCodes didn't teach me to think like a developer ... it gave me the tools to build the worlds I was already imagining. For every African woman who thinks tech isn't for her: it is and SheCodes is where you prove it to yourself.

I loved learning basic html, CSS and JavaScript in this short course. Makes me want to further my knowledge in creating websites and these couple of weeks have provided such a good basis to continue building on top of.

This gardening project helped me practice CSS Grid, background styling, and transform effects. I also added a dark/light theme toggle with JavaScript. The real images made it personal and meaningful. I learned how to keep images the same size and improve my layout skills.

I’ve had two interesting weeks learning and experimenting with SheCodes AI API integration through the She Codes plus AI package. Building projects was challenging but exciting, and I’ve gained hands-on experience creating interactive AI-powered web applications.” Looking forward to learn more.

If you’re starting from zero, SheCodes is an amazing first step. The format makes learning feel manageable and structured.

It’s amazing how much I’ve learned in just three weeks. The lessons demystify coding and make it feel approachable, even for a complete beginner. I’m so glad I decided to start my programming journey, it’s never too late! Matt structures the course in a way that builds on the skills and knowledge you already have, allowing you to combine everything and create your own project by the end. Of course, it can be challenging at times, but that’s all part of learning something new. Over the past three weeks, I’ve had so much fun exploring HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There’s still so much more to learn, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next. Overall, these three weeks have been an incredible experience, and I’ve gained so much knowledge.

I had the best and easiest experience learning programming with shecodes.

I found this to be one of if not the most helpful part of SheCodes, helping us learn how to break into the field. I now have a portfolio site, updated resume, updated LinkedIn, etc. as I begin my job search.

I completed the SheCodes Frontend workshops a few years ago, and they’re actually what sparked my interest in programming. That experience led me to pursue a degree in computer science, which I’ve just recently completed. Even after finishing my degree, I still deal with imposter syndrome because there’s so much to learn in computer science, programming is just one aspect, and there are so many languages! I really enjoy Matt’s teaching style, so I took advantage of a discount and enrolled in the Python workshops. If you already know some Python, parts of the course will feel foundational. However, I personally appreciated the structured review. I wasn’t previously familiar with incorporating APIs into Python or using the Rich library for styling, so even in the Python Basics workshop, I learned new things while reinforcing concepts I already understood. I completed this workshop in a few days during a vacation week, and it has been an excellent review as I work to build my confidence and expand my knowledge. I was going to dive into DSA review, but I really wanted to refresh with Python first since my degree program focused on Java. This has been an excellent way for me to review with structure, and I think the structure provides a wonderful introduction for those who are brand-new to Python as well!

She Codes has been an incredible learning journey for me. Before She Codes, I had no idea where to start with coding. Now I can confidently build a web page using HTML,CSS and JavaScript The courses on She Codes are well-structured and engaging. The instructors break down complex concepts in a way that actually sticks

Honestly, working on these advanced Python projects felt really rewarding. I got to dig into CSV files, filter and organize data, and then turn it into clear visualizations that actually made sense. It wasn’t just about writing code, it was about learning how to keep things clean, documented, and professional, which gave me a lot more confidence in my skills.

The workshop made learning to code in python fun. It was challenging and requested some research, but it enhanced the learning.

Learning to code as a beginner can be challenging, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Small projects teach you to think logically, solve problems and bring ideas to life on the screen. Every step, from writing the first HTML page to adding interactive features with JavaScript, builds confidence and I am hoping new opportunities will be opened.

This 8 weeks sessions I have got to learn a lot especially on the projects. This is is the best platform for women because I have managed it as I was still attending to my normal routines and classes, meaning that you can learn at your convenient time in Shecodes

Throughout this course, I gained skills in writing cleaner code with the practice of prompts as well as learning to test and debug code when necessary. Python is very versatile and has an extensive ecosystem to develop different applications for usage.

This workshop has been an incredible journey. I learned how to build a functional World Clock application from scratch, mastering JavaScript logic, Moment.js, and complex timezone management. One of the toughest weeks I have had going back and forth with this workshop but at last I'm done with it and honestly it was all worth it. Learnt a lot of different techniques to make any webpage responsive on any screen.

Difficult but interesting learning experience

Great workshop! Python is such an interesting language! I really enjoyed learning how to use it.

This course was challenging, yet fun. I loved using all the tools I have learnt to create a website. What I enjoyed the most was creating the multiple pages, making it responsive, SEO, and much more. I really enjoyed this workshop, and I feel like I am already an experienced Front-end Engineer 😂

I was a complete beginner, however the layout of the course has made things simpler to comprehend in the way the course is structured. The submissions have been extremely useful as you are able to apply everything you learn and put into practise, which is the best way to learn. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, this will be a avenue I will definitely taking further with the Plus course.

I had fun learning about AI. The course was informative.

SheCodes Plus really helped me move from understanding basic concepts to actually building structured, dynamic applications. I especially appreciated working with real APIs and learning how to organize a project in a more professional way. The course strengthened my understanding of JavaScript and gave me more confidence when working independently. It felt less like following instructions and more like truly understanding how things work together. I now feel much more comfortable building projects from scratch and connecting frontend applications to real data.

Really enjoyed learning the resources and methods in this course, and building my first draft of a portfolio website felt really motivating and productive! I feel I have a much better understanding of what front-end development entails and requires today.
