I honestly never thought I would learn to code. This course changed everything I believed I was capable of accomplishing!

SheCodes by Delac Foundation really boosted my confidence as a beginner. Learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript felt easier because of how supportive and practical the sessions were. I’m genuinely proud of how far I’ve come and excited to keep growing in tech.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basic workshop. It made learning the coding fundamentals fun and easy to understand. Now I’m excited to continue learning and explore more advanced coding skills!

I have really enjoyed this course and learning these skills more than I expected. I know my way around technology, but didn't consider myself technologically savvy, and I have realized that I can do much more than I thought I could.

Things have progressively gotten more challenging, but the instructions by Matt have been very easy to follow. I've loved learning about Python, it is so interesting.

This was by far the hardest of the langauges i've had to learn. But I'm glad and my app is currenlty working.

This was the most fun I've had in a while! After learning so many new things in the previous courses, this project reminded me of the power of pure HTML and CSS. Being able to build a website without JavaScript was really satisfying! Diving into CSS Grids, HTML tables, and figuring out how to make it all responsive was incredibly fun and rewarding!

The SheCodes Responsive Add-On challenged me in the best way possible. I struggled initially with HTML structure, specifically fixing div closures and getting card layouts with embedded maps to display consistently. The course's hands-on approach forced me to debug real issues, which taught me more than any tutorial could. What clicked for me: understanding grid systems, properly nesting elements, and making design decisions that showcase technical skills to recruiters. I went from copying instructor code to confidently customising my project with Nairobi's innovation ecosystem, complete with iHub co-working spaces and strategic content that demonstrates product marketing thinking. The freedom to personalise my project while learning responsive fundamentals made this course incredibly practical. If you want to build portfolio-worthy work while mastering responsive design, this course delivers.

Developing the AI French Poem Generator was a crucial milestone in my learning process. More than just applying HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, this project allowed me to dive into Artificial Intelligence API integration for the first time. It demonstrates my ability to consume external data and create applications that generate dynamic content effectively. It was an excellent opportunity to understand how AI tools can be integrated into Front-End projects to create innovative and interactive experiences.

This was by far the most challenging workshop of them all, however the step by step guidance helped a lot. There's still a lot of learning to be unlocked on React. I'm happy I pulled through.

This one was a lot of fun and really tough. Learned new methods of coding with CSS and JavaScript especially, and understand how powerful JS truly is. I enjoyed learning, and will take these skills to practice more!

The Responsive course final project was challenging yet totally fun! The knowledge I gained in Bootstrap directly applies to making any website responsive, and it showed me how many options you have to design a website based on your preferred style. The section on wireframes was incredibly useful and has me thinking constantly about how I can improve the design for users visiting my site. Another great learning experience!

I originally signed up for the Python course, but trying the beginner HTML, CSS, and JavaScript track has been unexpectedly fun. Certainly, this has been the biggest challenge on this bootcamp. Coding with React has shown me that it is possible to do everything that I had already learned in a more practical way, wich doesn't mean that it was easier to grasp the language's logic. Hands down one of my favourite workshops. The workshops have been arranged so that you can get to this point. If you were to start here without any background in coding you would feel like you were on a different plane. Everything that we were taught from the beginning with HTML, CSS, Javascript embedded code from Google Fonts and Font Awesome set us up to be able to understand how to use Bootstrap, Responsive as well as other platforms. I am so very proud of myself and all that I have accomplished so far. A huge thank you to Matt and the team. I am nearing the end of my SheCodes journey as a student and will soon hopefully start a chapter as a Junior Developer. I feel confident, hopeful and excited to enter it and it's all because of these fantastic workshops. To other students out there, I don’t know where you may be on your learning journey whether you are a student or thinking about becoming one. I want to encourage you to start or continue on this path. It’s not easy but step-by-step, little by little you will get there. There’s a great team and other students here to cheer you on.

This was a very fun project to do and it has helped me understand JavaScript better, besides improving my HTML and CSS skills. Highly recommend it and I am excited to learn more!

I’ve just completed the Python module from the SheCodes course. Throughout these weeks, I learned to work with Python functions, interact with external APIs, and manipulate dates using methods like strftime. Thanks to the course, I now feel confident defining functions, handling lists and dictionaries, working with time-based data, and connecting to external services — all through hands-on, practical exercises. This technical progress has given me a solid foundation to continue growing. I know there is still a lot to learn, but I now have the tools to build real, functional projects. Overall, this course has been a key step in my transition into web development.

The React Add-on workshop was a great experience! Building a fully functional Dictionary App helped me understand React concepts like components, API integration, and state management in a practical and fun way. This workshop was fantastic! I received some extremely helpful assistance, and the directions were quite clear. I learned the fundamentals of coding in a logical and simple manner. Anyone just starting out should definitely check it out, in my opinion!

I didn't buy this at the start of the week and when I started with your workshop it was almost Friday but still you made it interesting enough for me to sumbit my first homework by learning HTML in 2 days and not to forget my busy couple of weeks and I still managed to do all the assignements on time!! I loved revisiting and strengthening my knowledge Python in this basics module. The weather app was really fun, and I was able to do most of it without support, which made me feel great! I am looking forward to learning more ways to handle and analyse data. This was a great break from the web development modules - and those skills helped here, too!

This Python AI module helped me better understand the integrations with AI and apply them in small but real projects. Working with APIs and building scripts increased my confidence and made the learning process clear and practical.

SheCodes Plus was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be. But that's probably because I got to practise and repeat a lot. In this workshop I was able to build on the skills that I learned from the SheCodes Basic. I learned how to cope when my code doesn't work and where/what to look for bugs. But because this workshop was building off the basics, I was able to spend more time exploring CSS and see what I can do with what I have learned.

Wow! What an incredible opportunity this is, thank you SheCodes! Though I have completed the first Workshop: SheCodes Basics, I now know so much more about computer functions. Learning how to code with Matt is a great challenge, he makes it easy by focusing on what is important and simplifying the concepts. In just three weeks, I learned enough HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build a simple landing page on my own. I design websites in WordPress using plugins, and during the course I was able to apply this knowledge at work right away — making custom style changes with CSS when the plugins didn’t provide editing options. It felt amazing to solve problems on my own with real code. I’m so excited to keep going!
