This workshop was a great learning experience for me. I truly took advantage of the course, even though there were times when I felt desperate and doubted myself. Hearing Matt repeatedly say in the videos that this feeling was normal made a huge difference and helped me keep going. The lessons were very dynamic, which kept me engaged and made the journey much more enjoyable.

My name is Christina Palec, and I am a student. I recently used SheCodes for my personal development and I couldn't be happier with the result! Before taking the course, I hadn't any knowledge about coding. However, SheCodes made the learning process enjoyable and accessible. I came in this experience to improve my skills in coding and i am proud to say that this SheCodes platform is a very interesting workshop because i got exposed to new interesting challenges and with the help of the videos i found them a lot interesting a challenging at the same time, but at the end of the time the perfect skills were gained.

Wow! I have so much respect for weather-apps 🤭, I didn't know it takes so much work and knowledge. It has been a challenging journey learning how to code in advanced Javascript, however I'm all for it, the silly mistakes and going through the same thing multiple times. I'm so glad we have pre-recorded videos to pause, rewind, slow-down to let it all sink in. Grateful for this opportunity!🚀

It was a very challenging workshop especially for someone like me who is relatively new to coding. The step-by-step lesson videos, the SheCodes site resources, and the support staff team on Slack helped guide me to successfully complete my final project. It feels very rewarding to complete this phase of my journey of learning to code.

I began this workshop with zero confidence in myself and abilities and a very low self esteem but through the educational videos and the available assistance from slack i regained my confidence i did not think it would be possible for me to complete this phase, i am really proud of myself and how far i have come. this workshop did wonders for me now i am curious to see what the other workshops have in store for me i am so excited about my future thanks to she codes!

A valuable workshop with yet more complexity and new challenges. I really enjoyed learning how to embed maps, videos and social media to a web page and making it responsive. I created a page with multiple sections and used grids to organise the content. It was satisfying to produce a professional standard site and use industry tools. Excellent instruction, guidance and team support when needed. I am building the confidence in fixing bugs when they occur.

My SheCodes experience has been amazing. The workshops are structured in a way that makes even difficult concepts easy to understand. I loved the hands on projects, and the step-by-step videos helped me learn at my own pace. Today, I can build full websites, use APIs, and work with modern tools confidently something I never thought I’d be able to do before joining SheCodes

I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but I absolutely loved it! This has really boosted my confidence and made me want to explore coding even more. Enjoyed this part of react. Once you figure out the complexities of the new React framework you can easily get through the videos.

I sort of can't believe that I made this silly AI app all by myself! The videos were great, as always, and I am more than happy with the result of my project. I have enjoyed strengthening my knowledge of how to integrate APIs into my code using JavaScript. I also think I'm getting the hang of CSS - and flexbox in particular! Can't wait for more!

This course was excellent! Matt's videos really break down and explain all the steps, making Python so easy to understand. I'm hoping that my new understanding of functions will translate back to JavaScript, which I admit I have always struggled to master. Ready for the next level of Python!

I took this starter class as part of my professional development as a brand manager. I have dabbled very lightly in HTML and a little bit of CSS in the past but nothing too in-depth. I, like many other students, found the course structure very helpful! With as complex a topic as this, Matt does an excellent job of breaking down the different skills in very digestible chunks. The lesson videos are never more than 10 minutes or so, and he provides so many resources to find help, connect with other students, or learn the basic tools that are industry standards. The way he walked through each video was also very encouraging and I never felt dumb. I honestly found the course not too challenging (not to say I didn't get slightly held up at points) which I think is a testament to how well taught it is. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!

This one was a little more difficult as the videos are outdated and you don't realise until you have installed everything on your laptop. Only realised because I asked chatgpt what was going wrong. Also, hard to follow along as the new vite has different props, attributes etc that you need to use and it takes a while to work out why things aren't working

This one was more tricky, but the videos made it so easy to learn, use, and remember.

I loved making this little weather app using JavaScript. It was a bit of a learning curve but the instructional videos explain it all very well, and they are easy to follow. I enjoyed having some freedom to customise my weather app rather than just producing a copy of the example app! I have learned a lot and I am excited to learn even more in the next workshops!

Shecodes approach for teaching coding is tremendous. During learning, we had to do the assignments otherwise we could not jump to the next one. I personally watch only videos instead of practicing which is not a good habit but this method of Matt forces students to practice. I love the everything. I started SheCodes about a month ago with zero coding experience. The videos and challenges make it really easy to learn. I especially enjoyed the final project for the Basics Workshop because it allowed me to apply all of the concepts I learned.

The videos were really easy to follow, the mini challenges after each lesson helped with understanding the concept. The projects were great too, the hands-on practice made me a little more confident with coding.

I had the best experience. The videos makes it easy for a person to understand what is taught.

This was a very hard project with so much learning. The teaching videos helped but it is hard to follow with lots of new information for a newbie like me.

Easy to navigate through the modules and Matt explains everything in clear and concise language in short videos which makes it easier to absorb. The challenges and homework really drive the lessons home.

Challenging! The walk-through videos were definitely needed in order for me to complete this course and I had help from Slack too! I would need to practice React coding more to feel confident in it but it is a really great introduction and shows you the capabilities of this form of coding.

This is very informational and good, but some of the processes are outdated, and it is difficult to figure it out on your own. The foundations are similar, but github looks different, downloading github desktop and setting up netlify are different processes than explained in the videos, and so it made making progress throughout the weeks difficult and frustrating

I am very impressed by SHE CODE once again the videos were very easy to understand and i just simply love learning how to code. Highly recommend it for every one

I had an absolute blast with this AI add-on course! It was super enjoyable, yet still challenging, and perfectly reinforced all the core lessons (even going back to the basics). The lesson videos gave me more than enough information to crush the final project. Seriously, I never realized writing code to use an AI generator was this simple, it's way less complex than I ever imagined!

I just completed the SheCodes Basic Add-on, and it has been such a great experience! The lessons were very easy to understand and follow through, even as a beginner. One of the things I appreciated the most was being able to go back and rewatch the videos whenever I needed more clarity, it made learning so much less stressful. I really enjoyed the She Codes Python Basics workshop and learnt a lot along the way. Some concepts took a little while to click, but eventually did while following along with the videos. Others were more straightforward, and many built seamlessly on what I’d learnt in previous She Codes workshops. The highlight was the final week, where I got to build an interactive weather app with Matt’s guidance.

Highly recommend SheCodes! The course was very well structured -- it makes sense to learn HTML first, and it leads really well to CSS and Javascript. The lessons/videos were very well made, and the challenges/homeworks/projects really reinforce your understanding. The interactive portion was especially nice -- there are real teachers grading your homeworks, allowing you to update your solution based on feedback.

I love how the past three weeks have been headache free. I got to learn so much in just short videos.

I took me quick a long time to complete this workshop. When i focus and had a goal to finish this workshop I really enjoyed it. Building the final App was difficult but with the help of the instructor it was so much easier. Being able to go back to videos to help me when i was stuck was so helpful. I really enjoyed working with real-time data and just seeing how different the app looked and worked with every video I completed was amazing.

I would definitely recommend this course. Starting with absolutely no experience in coding I was nervous at taking on this course, but wanted to take on a professional development challenge. I was happy I did! This course breaks down the course content step-by-step which has allowed me to follow along, learn and gain confidence in my abilities to understand concepts and build a landing page. I love the videos where Matt takes us through each lesson! I can re-watch and follow along at my own pace. Challenges are achievable and solutions are helpful for reinforcing learning. I am looking forward to my next challenge!

I am too grateful for this opportunity, the videos are simple to follow, and not only that, there are external link to further explain the content. It is really fun and easy to follow Matt's instructions.

It was a good learning curve adjusting the code of my vanilla JS weather app to React. I built it with Vite since the suggested create-react-app has been deprecated, and the tutorial videos of this workshop haven't been updated in a few years it seems, so I wanted to try to learn up-to-date methods, which meant using React, Vite and Netlify documentation and YouTube videos to learn what I needed to complete this project in React.

I was honestly so impressed with Matt's teaching and clarity during these videos. When I got stuck I had the confidence to search through my code and work out the niggles like Matt does and I can't believe what I've managed to create at the end. Thank you so much!

Wow, that was amazing but it was also the course, where I struggled the most. My advise: Watch all videos until the last one. And then start to code, some of my questions have been answered in videos, which followed later. Anyway, I am glad to completed this challenge and I learned a lot amazing stuff!

I was a complete beginner when I started this course, and I was a bit intimidated. However, Matt is a great instructor and the course has videos that are well-structured and easy to follow. Wow! I am so glad that I did the Python basics course! It definitely exploded my brain even though the concepts were similar to JS (courses that I did a couple of years ago). This 2-week AI course gave me more confidence in myself and took away the fear of making mistakes. Even though this project seemed like it was complicated to completed, it was broken down into small components that were easy to understand. Using the videos provided with the lessons, I completed this project over the course of a weekend.

Have loved the SheCodes Basic programme. So much so, I have just signed up to complete SheCodes Plus! I am a Content Manager in my day job and looking to branch out to more freelance work. With my content knowledge, now combined with coding, I feel unstoppable! The classes are well-thought out and Matt's videos are easy to follow. I also like that Matt mentions that you might get frustrated and not to worry. I can be a perfectionist and want to be good at something immediately, so Matt's words feel comforting and let me know I don't need to be an expert right away (especially whilst trying to get my head round Javascript!). I have learnt so much from the past 3 weeks, my skills have improved significantly, and my coding confidence has increased. The teaching videos were straight forward so I had no struggles understanding and applying everything I've learnt. As a mathematical statistics graduate this whole course has made a huge impact on me as a huge part of my degree is programming.

The workshop provided a fantastic foundation in web development, starting from the very basics to more advanced concepts. The instructors explained everything clearly, making complex topics easy to understand. I love that the videos were short. I particularly enjoyed the hands-on, simple projects that allowed me to apply what I learned right away. By the end of the workshop, I felt confident in creating my basic web pages and adding interactive features. A great plus that I found from the instructor, Matt, is that he provides tips and best practices so we can become better developers—organised, structured, agile, and professional.

Learning React was a rollercoaster but a valuable one. I managed to confuse myself multiple times but referring back to Matt's videos always helped. Real sense of achievement here and I think with more practice, React could be a game changer!

With this workshop I really got more confidence in making a website. I really like that it is possible to follow along the videos and create on the go and later on tweaking the page with the knowledge collected - this way I feel works so well and repetition is perfect! This workshop was very interesting and fun. The JavaScript though was a bit on the advanced level but because the videos are in reasonable bite sizes, it was not overwhelming. I can't wait to put my knowledge of JavaScript to many more projects.

Basic add on was a easier as it was a summary or rather addition to what I already knew from basics. CSS gets more complicated though as time goes by, but practicing helps and Matt's recorded videos makes it easier to refresh your mind.
