I absolutely loved this course. It was very challenging but I learned so much. The effort and pay off was incredibly satisfying and finishing the course with a working weather app was such a huge accomplishment. Matt was a great teacher and I felt like everything was explained very clearly. Even if I did struggle, the Slack was always very helpful and quick with responses.
I been in the medical field for the last 15 years but loss my passion for it but always had a passion for coding since high school. So I decided to make a change and start my coding journey with SheCodes! And this have been a great decision. The workshops are easy to navigate and understand. Matt is a great teacher.

I was introduced to SheCodes by a friend, being 44 years of age I was a bit skeptical to apply for the fear that I wasn't going to understand or grasp anything but boy oh boy was I wrong! Matt is such a great teacher now I know about html, CSS & JavaScript! Even when browsing or using social pages I understand and appreciate the work that went behind the scenes to present such immaculate webpages and interaction pages!
I thought coding was not my cup of tea until I found SheCodes. Matt is a really great teacher and the lessons are easy to follow. Each week we have to do assignments which make it clear that we really get the point of each lessons.
I have thoroughly enjoyed learning the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript! Matt is a phenomenal teacher who is great at explaining new concepts in an interesting way through video format. I also find the Slack channels to be a useful resource for when I feel stuck. Most of all, I appreciate Matt's efforts to encourage his students to be resourceful when searching for answers.
The lessons are well structured , short videos that are easy to understand. the challenges are a big big way of practicing how to code and more so i am very grateful for how the she codes team is patient with you by adding the deadline extension to give you more room to learn. to finish, matt is an exemplary teacher. At first it seemed a little intimidating as I have never done anything of this nature previously. However, the teacher/instructor made understanding the coursework a lot easier with how everything was explained as well as the examples that were provided. I really enjoyed working through the work.
At a glance, Python can seem intimidating, but once you learn to read and code Python, it's really beautiful and fun. Matt is an excellent teacher and communicator and has made the learning process less stressful. I love that I can see that I'm surrounded by other students, so I don't feel alone in the journey.

Despite this course being more challenging compared to the Basic and the Basics Add-on courses, I thoroughly enjoyed becoming more confident and creative with the final project. Matt is an amazing teacher, and I cannot recommend SheCodes enough if you want to get into coding.
I found SheCodes in 2020, I didn't apply for it because I thought I would not like web development and I am pretty busy. Fast forward, to this year 2024, I chose to try it out, I applied for the SheCodes foundation and thanks be to God I got in! It is an honor to be part of this program, I fell in love with programming HTML, CSS, and JavaScript once again. I did code a little before but always gave up halfway. This is a good platform for everybody and I highly recommend it to everyone venturing out in web development. I have been working step by step on all the workshops with SheCodes and have really enjoyed diving deep into coding. Matt has been a great teacher. Even though I knew nothing about coding when starting, I have thoroughly enjoyed being challenged and taught so much.

Python Advanced was a tough one, especially at the final project. An advantage to learning it through SheCodes is that Matt explains the process well, and talks through what he has done to ensure it soaks in. Matt really puts you at ease regarding making errors, and really just encourages you to keep trying, and backtrack if needed. I've said it before, but he is a great teacher and that makes half of the course.

I enjoyed working with data and syncing it to the Data Visualization, but I think that for an Advanced course, maybe we could have done a more sophisticated project. The skills in Data Visualization are a pretty comprehensive start, but I was expecting more I must say. Maybe I misunderstood the course concept. Either way, I do enjoy SheCodes and like Matt as a teacher 🌻
