I am really grateful for being part of the SheCodes family. I did NOT know anything about coding at all when I started about 3 months ago, today I am able to build websites from scratch. It was not easy, but it was fun and I learnt so much. I am looking forward to taking up more lessons and just to learn as much as I can. Matt and the rest of the team are so helpful and very kind!❤️
Plus has been a ride. I can say I finally get it why developers are always stuck on their screen. From getting frustrated by a bug to realising that only a simple attribute is holding me back I realised that it is very important to know what you are coding. Monkey see monkey do did no work this time. I had to rewatch tutorials to understand what is being coded and how it is being coded. A big thank you to Matt for these insights and the confidence.
I had a lot of fun following this course! I found the lessons to be very engaging and like Matt's teaching style and sense of humor. I have been pretty intimidated to explore the world of programming and found this to be a great introduction - breaking the concepts down very well and making it accessible and fun. I really enjoyed working on each project.

This was the perfect intro class I found for learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I would reccomend this course to anyone who is wanting to dip their toes in the coding field. The self-paced course is also great for anyone who still has a full-time job and needs some extra time. Matt is a great teacher!

Building my weather app was both a challenging and rewarding experience. At first, I felt overwhelmed by all the moving parts—integrating the API, displaying accurate forecasts, and making sure the icons and temperatures worked perfectly. There were moments when I doubted myself, especially when things didn’t display as expected. But through persistence, problem-solving, and a lot of trial and error, I slowly started to piece everything together. Debugging each issue, step by step, helped me grow more confident in my skills. I learned the importance of patience and seeking out solutions, no matter how tricky the problem seemed. By the end of the process, I not only had a functional weather app, but I also felt a real sense of accomplishment. It reminded me that challenges are just opportunities for growth, and with determination, there’s nothing I can’t conquer. I'd like to thank Matt and the team, y'all are amazing. As someone who started with no knowledge of coding, I can now confidently say I've learned so much through SheCodes! The experience has been incredible. Matt is an excellent teacher who guides you through each step while also introducing new challenges, giving you the opportunity to explore and learn on your own. I especially appreciated the accountability aspect of the program, with due dates for homework that kept me motivated, even though it was challenging to meet deadlines while balancing a full-time job. Now, I have something to show for my portfolio! I can't wait to continue my SheCodes journey.

Starting this bootcamp was interesting because a lot of what Matt dives in to is great fundamentals in learning the beginner steps of becoming a web developer. You will learn the basics of creating a home page, with light styling, and light javascript. Can't wait to see what else this bootcamp offers me.
I feel so much better equipped for finding work in Web Development after completing this course! The final week and Matt's excellent advice on how to get a job in the industry has given me hope, determination and the motivation I need to pursuit job roles and create connections within the developer community. I'm excited to work on more projects while I try to land my first job.

WOW! I am falling more and more in love with coding. My highlights for Basics add on were class manipulation and the dark theme. The dark theme was just mind blowing, class manipulation had my brain on fire😂, the challenge was awesome. Thank you Matt and SheCodes Team.
This was such an amazing, exciting and challenging journey. When I started coding I thought it was too complicated and difficult to understand. Matt (our instructor) made it very easy to understand difficult concepts. The SheCodes course is easy to follow through, the pace is manageable and Matt builds your confidence along the way and makes you feel capable to tackle the challenges on your own. SheCodes definitely has to be the best Foundation ever! From someone who had no clue about coding, let alone that I wasn't even interested until I came SheCodes on TikTok and I watched a video from Matt. How amazing is Matt and the entire team???!!! I love how everything (videos from Matt) gets broken down nicely and the team is always ready and available to help. With SheCodes Plus, I had a lot going on in my private life that I didn't get to commit to the deadlines. But I am grateful for the extensions that I was granted. Today I have completed my SheCodes Plus!! Can't wait for the next phase and learn more cool stuff. Even though sometimes I forget that I am learning. This course was incredible. I never would have ever believed I could have so much fun doing something like coding, but I loved every minute of it! Matt is a brilliant teacher, who knows how to break complicated subject matter down into a way that makes it easier to grasp. The support is fantastic too if you ever get stuck, with very helpful tutors and students standing by to give their advice in a short time frame too. I've just completed SheCodes Python Basics - and I am so glad I decided to learn with SheCodes. Matt is great, he explains everything clearly, introduces concepts well without using too much tech speak. The course is easy to follow - you can do it as quickly or as slow as you like - but having a structure, the email reminders and the slack groups make you feel more accountable than your average lessons on Coursera or Udemy. I really liked that the lesson videos are short - anywhere between 5 - 15 mins and then you practice the learn after. This really helped me learn quickly and build my confidence so I could play around to see what else I could do. I'm looking forward to completing Python Advanced next!
She Codes has been really helpful in starting my coding journey. The workshops are easy to follow and Matt explains everything so well. The solutions provided after every challenge are really helpful especially when I want to correct a code I miswrote.

In the beginning, learning React was quite challenging, especially when creating different components and functions to make everything work. However, I really appreciate how Matt was able to explain everything and made each lesson and challenges more manageable. Overall, it was a fun experience and I'm very proud of myself for being able to build a weather application using React!

I never knew i could do coding. In all honesty i did not think i would make it this far. It was challenging at times but the challenges at the end made you want to do and learn more. The last time I tried to use HTML was back when I was trying to add color and music to my Myspace! I learned a lot in this course! It was was fun, challenging, and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed taking this beginner coding course! While there were challenges along the way, I loved learning new things and pushing myself to overcome them. The tutor, Matt, was incredibly detailed in his explanations, making it easy to follow along and grasp the concepts. I also appreciated that the challenges were varied from what we were directly taught, encouraging self-study and research, which made the learning experience even more rewarding.
This boot camp was very intimidating for me initially, but I remembered why I joined in the first place. It was really challenging I won't lie, but very exciting, Matt was very helpful along with the Slack team. It's also such a blessing to learn such a skill for FREE.. I'm very excited & looking forward to the next stage of the boot camp.

Weeks 1 to 3 of this workshop were great - we learnt a lot and there were many useful hints and techniques to save us time and make our projects look more attractive. However, weeks 4 and 5 were disappointing - none of the information was new, and the hours of videos were basically just watching Matt code an example project using techniques we had already been taught. I feel like this workshop could be cut to three or four weeks; by that point students should be well prepared to work autonomously (referring back to past videos if needed). I didn't want to skip any of the videos in the later weeks in case there was important new information, but it was just consolidation and repetition. Building a portfolio for our project was really useful, and it's great how things are broken down step by step, but each video could have just been way shorter. I'm still really looking forward to moving onto other SheCodes workshops, and I'm sure the content is going to get more challenging again.
