Taking the Responsive Web Design class has helped me understand how to turn creative ideas into actual, functional websites. Before the class, I knew I wanted to learn front-end development, but I wasn't always sure how HTML, CSS, layouts, and responsive design worked together. What I especially enjoyed was being able to learn by building. Each project gave me a chance to experiment, make mistakes, solve problems, and see the results immediately. Learning how to make a website adapt to different screen sizes has been especially valuable because I want my websites to look good and feel intentional whether someone visits from a desktop, tablet, or phone. The class also gave me more confidence to combine my creative interests with technology. My final project brings together my interests in crafts, perfume making, TTRPGs, and front-end development, which made the learning process feel personal rather than just like completing an assignment. I'm leaving the class with more than a finished website. I have a better understanding of responsive design, more confidence with HTML and CSS, and a foundation I can continue building on as I learn JavaScript and develop my portfolio. This class helped me realize that I don't have to choose between being creative and being technical—I can be both.

I really enjoyed the Responsive workshop because it helped me understand how to approach web design with different devices and screen sizes in mind. Working on practical projects made the concepts much easier to understand, and I particularly enjoyed experimenting with CSS, Bootstrap and responsive layouts. Challenging but fun coding project incorporating more advanced aspects of HTML, CSS and Javascript to build a weather forecast app. Lots of different elements to learn and put together. Enjoyed it very much! :)

This project was a great opportunity to put my React and JavaScript skills into practice. I learned how to work with APIs, manage state, pass data between components, and create a responsive interface for different screen sizes. It was challenging at times, especially when connecting the different components and debugging the application, but solving these problems step by step made me much more confident. I’m proud of the result and excited to keep building and learning more.

The Python AI course was an engaging and hands on way to learn how to integrate AI with Python while building a real project.

👩‍💻I enrolled in SheCodes Plus two years ago, but I was unable to finish because I had just become a new mother. Balancing motherhood and learning was not easy. Returning after so much time was challenging, but I was determined to finish what I had started. I am now proud to say that I completed SheCodes Plus and built my Skylo Weather application. This experience taught me that it is never too late to return to your goals. This is only the beginning, and I will continue learning, building projects, and working toward becoming a software engineer.

Excellent. In this workshop, you’ll build both the front-end and back-end of a project using the power of artificial intelligence. If you already have some knowledge of traditional programming (writing code), this experience can be very useful in helping you gain a deeper understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of AI programming and figure out whether it’s something you enjoy.

I’m so happy to have completed the SheCodes React Add-on and reached the end of my React journey with SheCodes! React has definitely been one of the more challenging technologies I’ve learned. I didn’t find it as easy to click with as some of the other languages I’ve worked with, and there were definitely moments where I felt frustrated or unsure of myself. But I kept working through the challenges, debugging my code, and trying to understand not just what was going wrong, but why. Throughout the React Add-on, I’ve gained a much better understanding of components, props, state, APIs, and how everything comes together to create a working application. I’ve also become much more comfortable with making mistakes, researching errors, and figuring things out for myself, which I know is such an important part of learning to code. I’m really proud of myself for sticking with React and finishing the course, especially when it didn’t always come easily. Looking back at where I started, I can see how much I’ve learned and how much more confident I am with coding. Completing this certificate feels like a really exciting milestone in my coding journey. I’m looking forward to taking everything I’ve learned from SheCodes and continuing to build my skills, create more projects, and see where my journey into tech takes me next!

Loved integrating AI into my projects!

This world clock project was very interesting, at the same time challenging. There's always a new concept to add on to the the skills one has been building up right from the beginning.

It was a challenging course, but pushing through the lessons and completing the final project has improved my skills in React and my overall approach to coding

I recently got back into the workshops and coding in general after a three year hiatus. I was able to update my start date with the workshops and pick up where I left off! Coming back and re-watching the videos and redoing the homework gave me more confidence and helped me develop my own little workflow! I am having so much fun with the projects that I am already starting early on the Add-on and AI Workshop for SheCodes Plus. I am looking forward to building my portfolio and can't wait for what comes next. SheCodes is the best place for all beginners to learn!

It was a complicated project, however it was worth it till the very end. I really enjoy it so much. Taking your time and taking a breather does really help. 10/10!!!

Joining SheCodes has been an exciting opportunity for me. As someone who is still growing my coding skills, I appreciate how the lessons are explained in a simple and beginner-friendly way. The projects are practical and have helped me build confidence in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I enjoy learning by doing, and I'm looking forward to expanding my skills even further. I would definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to start a career in tech.

I am so grateful for this opportunity. The SheCodes AI Basics workshop absolutely blew my mind! You can really see the difference between the first workshop, SheCodes Basics, and the AI course. Matt's tools and resources are such a joy to use. I had so much fun creating projects and putting everything I learned into practice. I am now on my way to reading all the SheCodes books available to us because I truly feel like I'm on the right path to becoming a developer. I will definitely continue studying with SheCodes, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn. You can gain so much knowledge here! The pace is great, and the weekly homework keeps you on track while giving you the rewarding feeling of accomplishing something real—something you can actually build and see. I loved how active and creative my mind became throughout the workshop. I created three different websites, each with multiple pages to explore, and I am incredibly proud of them. And I'm just getting started! Thank you, SheCodes, for this amazing opportunity, from one very grateful woman.

The course covers responsive design that builds on HTML, CSS, Flexbox, and CSS Grid with certification projects learned from previous modules. After going through the modules, I took some time playing with fluid grids, flexible images, and media queries. I would have liked to see a module about elements to consider when approaching mobile screens. Questions that come to mind include the possibility of making a base CSS for small screens first, adding break points for larger screens, and touch targets to ensure buttons and links can be adequately sized for touch screens. I enjoyed the process of experimenting and learning more about responsive design while creating and structuring a portfolio page that works on both desktop and mobile devices.

Another excellent course. The AI project was fun to code and I learned a lot. Shout out to the SheCodes-Team, esp. Matt.
