Imagine, within 8 weeks, you can learn how to code your very own weather application? With SheCodes, I was able to do so! All the topics were covered. This was a great workshop! I got to learn a lot from this add-on project from pure css to responsive css grids, html table, css filters, hero and html embeds. I feel happy and proud that I am now familiar with more advanced topics and finished my project.

I've loved learning again at my age, it's been fascinating working behind the scenes after being a graphic designer since the late 80s. I am super impressed with the set up of SheCodes and the very clear way in which the fantastic tutor, Matt, is able to explain the most seemingly confusing new language of numbers, letters and punctuation marks. I highly recommend this course, not just for those seeking a new career in coding but to widen your knowledge and have a better understanding of what your web designers do all day!

Before this course I could not have opened html and known what I was looking at. Now I can comfortably navigate and make a single page with interactions. This course means so much to me. I have always wanted to start my career in tech. But as someone who always worked as an office assistant, it was hard to move into that field. This course allowed me to learn and gain experience in tech. Hopefully, by the end of this, I will be able to step out of being an assistant and become something I want to be and do something I enjoy.
I really like how Matt explains everything in an easy way and also lets you know the most common mistakes to watch out for. As well as give us examples and tools to find solutions online. I've been learning a lot!

Very good and intensive course on building responsive websites. Great experience on how to work with all the aspects of HTML and CSS, Bootstrap and other web development tools. I have learned a lot of new skills. Perfect example how a web developer job could look like for a agency or small business.

Having completed the SheCodes Basics program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum as it involved a new programming language (Javascript). However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive, the community was supportive. As I said in the previous testimonial I gave on completing the Basics, what I appreciated most about the SheCodes was the emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of just reading about coding concepts in a textbook or watching lectures, we were actually coding from day one. Not only did this help solidify the concepts we were learning, but it also made the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. It's undeniable that there were hard times but going through the videos and working on the weekly projects helped me get better at it. I spent weeks trying to learn HTML, CSS, and Java script. Matt explained it clearly in 3 days. I learned how to implement new design ideas and use basic functions. Within 3 weeks with SheCodes, I've learnt how to do a landing page that I'm proud of. I can say that SheCodes helped with my confidence and self-esteem in this last few weeks. Matt is an absolutely amazing teacher, explaining everything step-by-step so we don't get lost and the Slack team always helps if you don't know how to fix even a minimal thing on your code. Learning React has been one of the biggest challenges in this code journey. It really helps structuring several pieces of JavaScript with components. Although it was complicated to understand at first, it is something very powerful to acquire in order to simplify and divide code to build bigger and sophisticated web applications.
i have learnt alot from this programme, when i started i had little knowledge on developing web pages, now i am competing in the challenges which helps in practicing my coding. The homework and challenges really pushed me to research and implement new concepts.

I started SheCodes to improve my knowledge in HTML and CSS and to learn JavaScript. SheCodes basics has been easy to follow and I learned new terms. The material was easy to follow and understand.
The course was easy to follow and it was a fun journey. In a few weeks I learned a lot!
There were so many things that I wished would have been different, that it would take me a really long time to mention them all. Most importantly: I really thing the videos should be revised. There are things that are outdated (like using clearfix) and no longer in use, tools that now have different versions (like bootstrap and netlify) which makes it harder to follow through the videos. But the lowest point is the lack of proper feedback on homework and (even more shocking for me) the final projects. It's "your solution works" kind of feedback. Personally, as someone who is learning to code, it's not *just* about the code working, I could really use feedback on how I could write it more clearly, etc. Otherwise I could just use an html/css/js validator and get pretty much the same answer. It's really a shame and I hope it changes in the future, because otherwise what's the difference between doing this or a full curse on udemy that costs 15€? One really wonders. Also bear in mind that unless you have nothing else going on in your life, 5 days a week is not enough to complete the week.
