I loved this course as an intro to getting into HTML coding. It taught me how to be comfortable reading and working in an HTML page, how to work in VS Code, and provided me with a great learning community. They were always quick to respond when I had questions and broke down the lessons into manageable steps. It was nice to be able to learn in a way that catered to my preferred style of learning.

I loved how easy SheCodes was to follow. The lessons were bite-size, the challenges made it easy to put my new skills into practice, and the final project really challenged me to think for myself. I've told several friends to look up SheCodes and register!
I'm so impressed with how much I have learned in such a short amount of time. I was a little worried coming into the course being a complete beginner but I feel it was really easy to follow and I even enjoyed the problem-solving element if I had made any mistakes. I love that there are colour templates, gradients and cheatsheets available to make things a little more simple. I have signed up for SheCodes Pro and I'm so excited to see where it takes me.
Since starting with SheCodes I have raved about this program. I find it very user-friendly and easy to understand. I love the hands-on approach and I really have absorbed a lot so far from the basic course. Excited to get further along with each workshop.

It was a long time since I had coded but since joining SheCodes last year, I was sure I was going to pursue this to the end. The course material is well organized and clear making it easy to follow. The step by step challenges makes it easy to reassess your understanding. I have also learnt a lot talk of APIs, design and bootstrap. I love SheCodes! I Cannot wait to learn react. My front end developer journey has just began.

The SheCodes Basics workshop was a great way test out the coding waters. I had practiced with FreeCodeCamp prior to SheCodes so I had a little bit of practice but it was much easier to have Matt walking us through step by step with explanation and using Slack as extra assistance if needed. Even with a little prior knowledge, I still spent slightly over 5 hours per week for the first two weeks on lessons, challenges, and homework. As I could do this all in my own time, it was very manageable while working a full-time job. I loved and appreciated Matt’s laid back and fun teaching style and highly recommend SheCodes Radio while you’re coding!
I loved that I could work at my own pace. Even though the course was scheduled for 3 weeks, I could move ahead or take more time as my schedule allowed. I loved being able to help other students troubleshoot in Slack and knowing that I could turn to peers or instructors if I got stuck!
I came to SheCodes.io after I enrolled in another program and had the hardest time staying on schedule. When I found SheCodes I was researching for one of my Javascript assignments, and I just love how everything was explained so clearly. The more and more I learn about coding the more intrigued I feel. I've always loved a good challenge and coding has definitely tested my patience but the feeling when something works is the greatest! This portfolio project has really put all my knowledge to the test and I've learned so much about myself. I now have the confidence to build other portfolios and responsive websites. I intend to keep practicing those skills by offering a helping hand to friends who may benefit from a website portfolio or responsive website. I've come so far since I first started in January and it's only the start! Next stop... React! I can't wait to continue learning on my coding journey!
I love it! Thought it would be harder, but the way of explaining and the lesson activities helps a lot. By the final project, it just that everything makes sense.
I needed to learn basic coding skills for my job, so when I found SheCodes I did some research and decided to sign up. I loved the challenges and the way the course was presented, and am considering taking my skills further with another course just because I enjoyed it so much and know it'll be valuable for my career!
I absolutely love SheCodes! 😍 After ending SheCodes Basic I continued my journey with SheCodes Plus and I definitely don't regret it even one bit! SheCodes Plus course has given me a much better understanding of the coding world. It was fun and challenging to create the weather app, but I feel like I leaned so much. I definitely still have a crush on coding, and my crush is only getting bigger with time 👰🏻💕💻 If you are stuck the lovely team are very fast at assisting you on Slack and very thorough at explaining any trouble or question you might have. My best friend had recently begun to learn coding and I was excited for her but also not super familiar with what that meant as a career path. I happened across the free coding class from SheCodes and I was intrigued, if only to get a better understanding of what my friend is learning. The class really opened my eyes to what learning coding can do for a career pivot, especially for women. I decided to try the SheCodes basics course and I'm so excited to learn more! This platform really takes away the intimidation factor that I think scares away a lot of people. I have never considered myself a math or tech savvy person. This course has helped me focus on digesting the concepts, rather than getting caught up in self-conscious anxiety about whether I have enough technical understanding to do this. I also love that this course includes lots of challenges and projects that get the learner actively using the skills that are being taught. I also love that there is reliable online support to turn to when you get stuck and need help! This course has been so amazing and I love telling my other female friends about it in case they want to try it.
SheCodes is a wonderful introduction to the world of coding if you have ever wanted to learn how. The weekly lessons are easy to follow and the challenges are fun to complete. When I was in high school (twenty years ago!), I took a couple web development classes and would spend hours after school creating web pages and graphics. I knew I loved creating things for the web, but always did it on the side as more of a hobby since my career was in education. I had been wanting to brush up on my skills for a while, and knew there were a bunch of workshops out there. I picked SheCodes because of the way Matt emphasized that this should be fun...and it was! I've loved seeing how front end development has changed since I first learned and also learning new tools like Visual Studio Code. Thank you for helping me re-learn how to build fun things!

I really loved participating in the workshop. It's easy to follow along and divided into good portions, so you don't get too overwhelmed with the input you're getting. The homework at the end of each week are really quite challenging, but definitely fun to do some research on your own and come up with solutions. I really liked building my own landing page in the end and am quite proud of what I've learned so far. Can't wait to learn more about coding.
I love puzzles and I genuinely love learning so when I found out about SheCodes, I had to sign up! I material is not easy but Matt does a great job of breaking it into smaller parts & challenges so that you can really take it one step at a time. I am enjoying this process so much! I loved SheCodes because I was able to complete the course at my own pace, but there were still deadlines so I couldn't ever let myself get too far behind. It was perfect for my busy schedule. I have to say SheCodes Responsive was my favourite course so far. I enjoyed the Basics and Plus but I absolutely loved all the handy hints and tricks and hacks that we learnt in Responsive, and of course, how to produce Responsive webpages which is so important these days with all the different devices in use. Quite a few times I'd stop and think 'How cool is that!!' The tutorials to work through completing our own webpage were so helpful and really broke it down step by step. I'm so excited to continue on to React and to hopefully one day embark on a career in developing. Thank you Matt for a brilliant course!

This beginner course was an amazing experience! I loved every second of it. I enjoyed learning new tips and tricks as well as finding out new solutions on my own. I had experience in learning python years ago and was taught how to teach the computer to play a guessing game with you, but it took a lot of time. When it comes to learning, I like it when the lessons are straight to the point and actually have you apply those new skills immediately. SheCodes definitely applies that attribute. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

I am recent Biomedical Science graduate but I wasn't sure whether I wanted to continue down the route of science or trying something else. About a month ago, a friend of mine mentioned how she was going to start a course in coding, created especially for women. I have to admit, at first I only checked the SheCodes website out of curiosity, but after the free coding class I was hooked! I had to try it! And let me tell you, I am so glad I did! Lately I have been trying to get myself out of my comfort zone as much as possible and this is the first time ever that I purchase and finish a course, completely unrelated to the field that I have studied in. After just having finished my final project, I feel over the moon, proud of myself and I look forward to continuing my coding studies in the nearest future. I had such a fun time with the SheCodes Basics Workshop. Matt makes it super easy to follow and I loved the little mini projects throughout the first two weeks - it really makes you put what you've learned into practice. While I only had time for the 3-week workshop, I'll probably come back to do one of the longer workshops later down the road. Highly recommend giving SheCodes a go, whether you're looking to expand your skillset for your career, or simply just want to do it for fun!
I have always wanted to move my career from retail/hospitality to coding as this is something I am passionate about. I had a very crude understanding of coding but nothing that could produce a product. Through this course I have gathered skills to create something I really like, that I could use to start learning more with an end goal of getting a job in development. The team and other students are lovely and helpful. This is a great introduction into coding.
I loved learning how to code in HTML, Java and CSS through this workshop: it helped me a lot, because I couldn't make it alone. I recommend this course, with the advice to study and practice, with a lot of good effort: it will be a wonderful learning-trip with Matt as your teacher: I adore his method!

I've started to my self-learning coding journey a while ago and I lost my motivation so many times. And if you are like me who loves listening to music while study you will love SheCodes Radio! I took this course on a whim not knowing anything about coding. I knew it would be challenging, but I never thought I would love it as much as I do! SheCodes React was my last set of tutorials and it allowed me for a huge step up in my coding knowledge, having taught how to host my own website online. I very much enjoyed the experience once again and would love to make use of my newly developed coding skill really soon.
The workshop was nice and easy to follow. You can watch the videos on your own time and finish the homework before the deadline. I also love the fact that we can reference back to the videos to remind us how to do certain codes.
It feels so good to have been able to create this from scratch. The course structure makes sense and specially loved in the last two weeks to see Matt creating the app in real time.

I feel confident. I will use what I have learned about coding and teach it to children in my childcare business. I recommend this basic course to anyone wanting to try. The workshops help and the video presentations help a lot. The information is given in many different ways. You will learn to code if you complete the assignments. I love coding! I will take more courses.
I loved this course so much. I've done so many different, "self-paced" coding courses, and not a single one of them compared to this. Everything was made so clear, and the fact that I was able to do a final project like this, from scratch, is beyond me. I have no words to express how thankful I am for SheCodes

The SheCodes Responsive workshop was the final workshop for me to take and I again really enjoyed it, combining all knowledge of previous workshops to build my own portfolio. I loved learning more about coding!

I have struggled with learning code for a while now. I came to learn about SheCodes and decided to give it a try. My love for technology and what it brings forth has been drive. The courses at SheCodes are sectioned into small and very clear videos and after every class we have a challenge giving one a chance to put into practice what they learnt. That has been really fun, quenching my thirst for learning coding and at the same time keeping me curious about what the next lesson has to bring forth. My coding skills have really improved and i believe this is the begin of something great and I am happy and grateful to SheCodes.
