In comparison to my other coding classes, this was the best course I have ever taken! Matt explains every lesson in a concise and straightforward manner. He has an impressive teaching style, especially when it comes to articulating main points in each lesson. In my opinion, even people who have no prior knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be able to follow and understand this lesson. Furthermore, I can say the content is not too overwhelming, it is just about right in terms of portions. Matt has helped me understand specific cases that had me wondering and finally was able to comprehend why they happened. The coding course has been enjoyable and very informative for me. My first project has finally been completed, and I am happy about it. I am looking forward to the next workshop!

Even though my English is not a native speaker and programming itself is not the easiest thing in the world, I had a great time. It's really an amazing journey with SheCodes and my instructor, Matt. He is always positive and encourage us to try our best to develope our projects.
I had an absolute blast with the SheCodes Responsive course. The first thing that happened was my mind was completely blown when I learned about Boostrap css utility classes AND how easy it is to modify code for web responsive experiences. I heavily rely on these two things when I am building webpages now! I am a UX designer learning coding and use Figma daily. I am usually tasked with designing wireframes and desktop and mobile screens. It is really cool that now I know how developers take my design and code them. I loved that portion of the course when Matt showed us a Figma file and how the developer pokes through it - which also reinforces the importance of a clean design file! I found myself using the skills I am learning in the SheCodes workshops at work, and I have started working with our developers on my designs and found it easier to explain my stuff to them. I also find myself coding on evenings and weekends for fun, too! For any UX designers, I would say Responsive is THE course to take so you get a better idea of what happens to your designs when they are getting built, what developers looks for, and how it can make working with them fun and rewarding to make impactful features and products. I am SO glad I chose SheCodes. After paying a pretty penny for another coding bootcamp and having a really negative experience, I was very hesitant about joining but I am so happy I did. Joining this program has renewed my confidence to continue pursuing software development and change my career path. Matt was born to be an instructor. The lessons are concise, but very informative. Concepts are presented in relatable, digestible pieces that make sense. I can't wait to continue through all of the workshops. 😄
Wow! I think I've just attended the most user friendly, clearly explained, concise workshop ever. I received some precious basic info alongside tips while having fun and in a very rewarding manner, with achievements and help given along the way. The only regret I have is preparing for med school in highschool instead of learning the basics in html, css & JavaScript. SheCodes Foundation is indeed a place to be if you really want to develop or grow your career in the IT Industry. I started learning coding from the scratch and I can tell you that my 3weeks learning SheCodes Basics was really worth it, I enjoyed every bit of the training. In time past, I used to see coded languages as strange but now I've become familiar with them. I can now play around HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT with ease. The instructional videos with detailed explanations, challenges and homework made my learning easier and less stressful. The Slack platform gave me the opportunity to interact with my wonderful classmates from all over world regardless of our Race, Color, Nationality or Ethnicity. This workshop was definitely more challenging, working with React was awkward at first but it presents the code in a simpler and "cleaner" way! This workshop was both challenging and exciting. The times I came up with my own solutions to the bugs in my code really made me feel like a legit coder! Matt is a very personable instructor with French flair who doesn't leave his students hanging. Each step is explained clearly and succinctly, and the challenge's solution revealed after your first attempt. Just follow instructions and code along. You can do it!

This workshop pushed me to constantly reflect on and improve my code. When building the weather app, you get the chance to go beyond the project requirements and use some of the coding techniques you learn during the workshop to code features that aren't required like a location button, a unit converter, a timezone-accurate time display and more! Coding these features by myself without being able to rely on Matt's vanilla code helped me learn how to create and use my own functions.
SheCodes has helped me feel more confident about my knowledge in HTML and CSS, since it's been over ten years since I've touched it. Matt and his team have made it easy for me to understand and eased me into JavaScript, which I have very little knowledge of. I highly recommend anyone new to coding and programming language to take this course.

You have plenty of time to learn and submit homework/projects while maintaining work/life balance. I love what I have learnt so far and plan on upgrading to a bigger course.
