It was an amazing journey to learn designing an application from the beginning to end. Although this is not the end of my learning process, I loved coding with Matt and would totally recommend it to anyone eager to learn from a wonderful teacher.

I must admit that I wasn't expecting this to be quite this fun. I joined for practical reasons: I am an artist and I need to be able to create and curate my own page independently so that's why I initially joined. Now I am already feeling very comfortable with coding and it's only been a few days! Matt is a very very clear teacher and the extra resources and extra readings only enrich my knowledge. I must however add that I do have some previous experience with coding-like languages given that I now have 4 years of experience writing in LateX and some university experience with instructing a 3D printer and other lab equipment. I would advise a complete beginner to take it easy. Still! Couldn't have been smoother.
SheCodes Plus was a fulfilling journey for me - racked my brains as I was introduced to API (the most exciting part), worked on advanced Javascript, pieced everything together, and built my very own weather app. Love the bite-sized videos and how Matt provided industry advice and tips in his capacity as a professional coder (on top of being a teacher).
SheCodes has been really a blessing to my learning journey. Matt is really a good teacher, breaks down concepts into bite sized chunks that do not make a student feel panicked. I used to feel like programming was only for a certain caliber of smart people and I used to think I was not smart enough for it. Until I came across SheCodes the best workshop I have been able to journey with and learn from.
I absolutely loved this course! I feel like I've learned a lot in a short amount of time and Matt is a great teacher. The challenges throughout the course are really helpful to master the theory and the support on Slack is also great. I am amazed at this program! I have coded in the past but mostly HTML + CSS with no JavaScript. This beginner course really solidified my passion for coding and web design. Matt is such a great teacher, the logic and the structure of the program made it so easy to learn the basics. All the lessons were just long enough to give you context and the challenged we're so well done. I enjoyed how some challenged added elements we hadn't learned into them, allowing us to learn in the wild and be more resourceful. Hello, I think taking Shecode workshop was defiantly a great decision. At first I was a little hesitant because I’m a busy mom of two toddlers. I spent about 1-2 hrs per day on the lessons. Matt is at amazing teacher he really breaks down each lesson for easy understanding. This workshop was 3 weeks long and it covered the fundamentals . I would defiantly take more shecodes workshops.

A great, challenging course! Matt is an excellent teacher - the material was concise and easy to understand. I loved how well-structured the course is and the focus on practical/hands-on experience. It also helped that the course is self-paced and very flexible. It was fun building a webpage and learning in a supportive community. The Slack thread helped a lot. I don't think I would have had the motivation and guidance to learn coding by myself, so I highly recommend this course.

I found the React part really dificult. It went to fast and the videos Matt did, didn´t really match the source code from him. Also, I believe I could learn better and faster if we had had an easier final. Yes, I understand that the Weather App is a good way to go, but for me it was to dificult and complicated. There are sooo many things to think about and to understand in a short amount of time. I think that by doing it a bit easier and and fully understand what you are doing, will resolve in you leraning easier on your own later. Also, when it says that the forecast is volontary (in the final), thats says a lot to me. But, Matt is without a doubt a really good teacher, love his videos and I would recomend it even if I thought is was hard.
Amazing workshop, now that I can use both Bootstrap and media queries, I feel unstoppable! I would recommend this course to anyone who would like to gain knowledge of responsiveness on different devices, especially using Bootstrap, which seems to be a skill currently in high demand. I currently am a teacher but I am looking to transfer to a profession outside of the classroom. I found SheCodes through a teacher transition Facebook group and took the free intro class. I decided to try the Basics course to see if coding was something I could even begin to explore as I had zero prior experience. The course was very easy to follow and manageable to commit to even while working full time. I felt so proud of myself as I accomplished each challenge and homework assignment and even more proud to have completed my first project! I definitely will sign up for another course to gain even more skills and confidence in myself!
