This was highly challenging for me, but Matt does a fantastic job explaining everything so well. The final project here is chosen wisely. After creating it I realised how constant practice and learning help in achieving the amazing results. Not long time ago I was surprised when the phrase "Hello, World!" appeared on the white screen after writing it in the HTML. Now, thanks to the SheCodes, I created the personal site-portfolio. Of course, I have a long way to go. There are many things to learn, to master, there will be ups and downs. I realised that programming is not only about the skills, it`s about the mindset. It`s about perseverance, problem solving, steadiness. Programming can be very frustrating, but it is incredibly rewarding too. The She Codes Responsive workshop for me is the stage when it seems like you know a lot, but in reality you discover that there are more and more techniques, which can make the sites more comfortable to use, more user-friendly and responsive. I enjoyed the class, overall. It wasn't difficult to keep up with thanks to Matt's great teaching style. Everything was explained very well. I love the Slack feature and how quickly the SheCodes team replies to questions. I wish I got a certification after the course though. Every time I felt stuck and asked for help, SheCodes team was there to explain me what I was not understanding. In a stressful and now and then challenging everyday life, I'm glad to have found Matt & thus SheCodes & his team - or rather the advertising has found me through the algorhythm on Instagram ;) - so this suggests that my interests match. The course is wonderfully designed - and although I've had touch points with the basics before, I'm very happy with the " bite-sized" lessons and follow-up mini-exercises and weekly tasks. This was a fantastic intro to coding. Wow, do you have to use your brain, but its amazing to see what you can accomplish in 3 weeks! The learning is quite fast paced, so it sets you up from the beginning to research on your own, and find solutions. Which of course is a great tool for the future. I love the course. I found the lesson with Matt particularly good as he isn't following a strict script. If he makes a mistake or something doesn't he shows how he would really handle it. It shows us the reality of coding. I am also very impressed with the whole company, the team and the work they put into the courses, the challenge and all the extra like the sheCodes upload, the colour and gradients, the challenges every few weeks,... it really shows their passions.😉
