I definitely recommend shecodes, I tried a few workshops before finding shecodes and it never lasted, but the teaching method that Matt created here makes it much easier for anyone who has never seen programming or knows the basics.
This course was much more advanced that the previous one, but it taught me loads. I learned more about CSS, HTML and more advanced Javascript. It also covers topics such as API integration, which is really powerful. When you look back and reflect on how much you learn in only a few weeks and how much easier it is to conceptualise the logic of how it works simply by putting it into practise, it really boosts your confidence. Would highly recommend!
At SheCodes, I had the opportunity to study the fundamentals of Front-end, which provided me with a solid base of knowledge in the area. At first, I was a little afraid to follow the classes in English. However, the teacher uses a language simple and intuitive, which allowed me to fully understand all the lessons. SheCodes Plus required more time, patience, and dedication than the first course that I took in SheCodes. It was all worth it. It is a completely different area for me, and the older I get, the harder it is to acquire new knowledge. Trying to balance all the things that life demands and your mental health can be a difficult challenge. I had to postpone a few times, but in the end, it all worked out. I love the way Matt explains it because it's clear, it makes sense and the lessons are straight to the point. It feels like you are talking to a very nice friend. It's also important to mention that he teaches how to investigate the problem when something is not working. I will do other courses in SheCodes. I expect to get better, learn more things, and improve my knowledge. I highly recommend SheCodes.

SheCodes was a good workshop for me as I have already learned how to code in school but never really understood why to use a certain element or how to use JavaScript functions. Even after delaying for months finishing up the lessons and projects, I have recently found myself going through everything fast as the lessons are very straightforward and fun, it has given me the motivation to get into coding again after a long burnout, therefore I do recommend it to anyone who has an interest or has been having difficulties on learning how to code.
The SheCodes Basics course was, at the same time, everything that I hoped for and much more than I imagined. The classes were short, but packed with knowledge and information, and even though I had a lot to learn every week, I never felt lost or overwelmed. I learned more than I could have ever expected in such a short period of time and I will be forever grateful for the SheCodes comunity
I learned a lot from SheCodes. The fact that every class is followed by a challenge is really great to put our knowledge on use. I used to find programming logic really difficult but the classes and the project helped me to understand the logic of the functions and how everything falls into place on the code. I started this workshop with no experience at all and I was super surprised by how easy it was to learn everything! Every subject is divided up into very small concepts that you learn and then do an exercise which really helps to absorb the information! The Slack chat is also very helpful, almost all the questions I had had already been answered there. The workshop is very hands-on and it made me feel super proud of myself!

Matt is an outstanding instructor! He's very objective and clear in his explanation, the classes are divided in a way that makes the learning super fluid and fun! Despite having a solid foundation in HTML and CSS, I previously struggled with understanding JavaScript. However, Matt's classes, along with the engaging challenges that accompany a lot of classes, have turned JavaScript a lot easier for me.
I like the way the subjects are approached and the challenges are designed; we have to strive to complete them, and that turns into motivation to tackle all the required challenges.
