I wanted to learn how to code for a long time now but was first very doubtful about my capacities in learning coding by myself (based on online tutorials). I wanted to take the challenge and so i suscribed to Shecodes! This workshop and the way Matt explained coding made it super fun and interesting to learn. It also helped me to gain more confidence in my skills and learning abilities. What i really liked, was the community feeling behind shecodes that made the learning process, very interactive and motivating !
After finishing SheCodes Basics I felt like more... and more I got! It's not an easy ride, but it's so rewarding in the end. Matt chops coding in little understandable pieces which makes it fun and easy to put the pieces together and finish with a working weather application, wow! The team is great, whenever you are stuck they will help find you a solution very fast so you can continue coding. Thank you so much for this experience!

SheCodes opened the door that I was so eager to find. I've been wanting to learn to code for a long time but I felt that since I did not have a computer science degree I would not be able to learn coding for front end developement. SheCodes Basics proved to me that I am capable to pursuing a different path and I feel prepared for moving to more advanced techniques! Also I am so happy to find a community of people that helps you to understand or get out of the knot you made in your code (even after you finish your course :)) I can't stress enough that if you feel that you want to learn coding, this is the right place!

This workshop has allowed me to deepen my knowledge in coding with well structured tutorials and practical challenges. The final project of building a basic weather widget from scratch was the result of combining advanced HTML, CSS, JavaScript and different coding tools in a challenging but fun way.
Awesome course!! I learned so much and am really impressed by how well this course was organized. The course is definitely intense for someone who starts from zero but I don't think that there would have been a better way for me to start learning. 100% recommend!

I decided to enroll in SheCodes React development workshop to improve my coding skills with React framework. Learning to build dynamic, responsive user interfaces (using API and React components) was quite challenging but I enjoyed every step of it. I recommend!

The workshop was really fun! I appreciated that each video was short and and the challenge parts are very helpful.
I started programming as a side task in my previous job to build some basic applications in Google App Script to automatize some processes. I discovered that I liked coding and that the job of developer would enable me to have a more flexible lifestyle than I used to have. After trying to learn coding on my own via free courses and YouTube videos, I realised it would be more efficient to have a better structure of learning with deadlines, challenges, projects but also flexibility, which is why I registered to SheCodes. Even though I had already some basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, this course was clearer than any of the other content I had already learnt from and helped me understand better what I was doing. I would like to stress that you DO NOT NEED to have any experience in coding to register for SheCodes. The courses are very structured and the fact that you apply what you learnt right away in some small challenges helps absorbing the information.
I enjoyed the experience. Each course has a perfect format, not too long and not overwhelming at all. The challenges are perfect for consolidating knowledge and the final project allows you to put into practice all the topics covered. Matt's pedagogy is spot on and very understandable!
I had zero knowledge in coding but had always been very interested. Since I'm in Law it's not usual to have access to any kind of class that would help me get to know this area better but now I can say that I at least know the basics and would be very much interested in continuing with other SheCodes workshops ! Loved the videos and Slack, everyone is very helpful and open to help whenever. Thank you SheCodes, Matt, Joao and my classmates !

Hi there, I'm Anna. I've been a fashion & lifestyle photographer for 10+ years and I decided to take the plunge for a more stable career path, one where I would be able to work even during confinement, during the chaos of 2020... well, basically, one where I would be able to work remotely. I was very scared because even though it's written all over the website that the course is for beginners, I thought I wouldn't learn it as I was supposed to. Big mistake: Matt is an amazing teacher and the SheCodes team is just brilliant and always there to answer your questions, being them silly or not. I just finished the Basics but I already paid for the full course, thanks to the discount opportunity for those who, like me, couldn't work in 2020. I can't thank you enough for showing me that coding can yes, be creative, and specially that you don't have to be good at math (yikes) in order to know how to do it. A solid introduction to coding - very practical and approachable!
I was encouraged to pursue the SheCodes workshop for beginners by my sister who had already finished it - and upgraded to the next level - and the only thing I can say is that it was the best decision ever! I am a student in international studies and being able to enrich my set of skills is very important to me. Also it was a great opportunity to study something new and go out of my comfort zone - I am more of a bookworm usually! So a big thanks to the SheCodes team for your work in helping women in the coding field!

This second workshop was as challenging as interesting! I really enjoyed the progressive building of this weather app in its practical sense. At times, it was relatively frustrating and often difficult, but the satisfaction of building this app (keeping in mind I knew absolutely nothing about coding a few months ago) is quite mind blowing!

The introductory course uses lots of fun examples and exercises. The instruction is very clear with plenty of examples. I really enjoyed the first step of the experience and can't wait to and expanding on my knowledge.

Hello, I have been looking for varying ways to make money remotely, something that challenges me while taking into account my need to create and cultivate new things. This 3 week course was my first ever encounter into the coding world, at first I thought it would be rocket science... literally ππ because something about the inner workings of a computer always scared me but it did not take me long to quickly realize it quite the contrary. I believe that if you are looking to get a snapshot of the world of coding, this 3 week course is just that ! looking forward to the more advanced portions !π

Are you hesitating? Definitely go for it! I was a coding newbie and wanted to discover what coding is all about. Other introduction courses I have followed turned out to be very abstract and complicated. But the SheCodes Basics course was super practical, easy to follow and a great introduction into coding and that was exactly what I was looking for!

As a marketer, it's great to learn the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript so I can have better control over my content (and improve on the templates given to me). Coding can seem overwhelming since there are so many languages and things to learn but this 3-week workshop was exactly what I needed and the format is really easy to follow.
SheCodes was a great training for the absolute beginner I was. The videos are explaining HTML, CSS, and JAVASCRIPT functionalities very clearly and step by step, you can learn at your own pace which is very pleasant. I highly recommend this course.
I am extremely satisfied with this workshop! Coding can be very intimidating for absolute beginners but through Matt's great pedagogy and clarity (said from a teacher :p), short but efficient lessons, and regular practice, it is quite mind blowing what one can do within just three weeks of learning! All the new notions are broken down into single blocks of learning to grasp the essential meanings, demonstrated in videos with explanations and documentation too. We then get familiar with these new notions to finally apply them into various tasks. It is a very progressive and fun process. Thank you so much. I am very much looking forward to the next training!

Trained as a neuroscientist and a biology teacher, I wasn't especially expecting to do code but it is so cool to get a sneak peak at all the possibilities of coding. SheCodes is really amazing, well-explained, nice-looking and interesting. Challenges and homeworks are well thought for a constant involvement throughout the program. The only downside of the SheCodes workshop is that you are so excited that you want to be an expert from the very start! ;D I would definitively recommend SheCodes to other girls. #girlpower in tech

I feel like I learned a lot, yet the final part of the workshops feels more like a step-by-step tutorial on how to build things without actually explaining much.
I really enjoyed this workshop and learn about HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The lessons are well explained, we can study at our own pace and if we are stuck or have any questions, we can easily connect via Slack. I am going to continue learning by enrolling in the SheCodes Plus workshop. I cannot wait to learn more !

The SheCodesPlus workshops helped me to set up strong JavaScript fundamentals and made me more confident for what's coming next. The pace was intense but it allowed me to practice more. The lessons are well balanced in terms of knowledge and challenge and there is always someone to assist you when you struggle. I highly recommand this workshop to anyone who wants to learn JavaScript in a fun and challenging way.
