When I first met SheCodes, I liked its purpose and vision - providing coding education to women who are lack of representation in the ICT fields. That's why I took the SheCodes Basics. I liked it but it took me one year again as well as Covid/disc problem to seriously consider changing my career to ones related to coding where I can work from home. I think SheCodes is such a good place for beginners like me to taste the world of coding and kick off the career. I was interested in coding for years but couldn't really start anything - I had no idea what to do first. Some people just take free courses/youtube videos to start but I needed some in-person guidance and a kind-of basic structure of knowledge with explanation. SheCodes indeed provides all of that. Slack community makes me feel I'm not alone (even though everything is online) and feel I do have people to ask all the questions I have. That helped me a lot. I really wish this would lead me to the career I want to have in the future so that I can write amazing testimonials again.

I had a great time getting familiar with the very basics of coding, I feel like I expanded my knowledge in this area, gained more control in it, and had fun while doing so!

I've been wanting to learn coding for a while, and when I came across SheCodes, it looked like a great course - and it is! Very user friendly and excellent for beginners. I loved it and am excited to begin my coding journey!

The experience was refreshing and challenging, especially with as a product designer. The course helped me understand a little better what goes on behind the scenes.

I have been looking for a change in profession which would challenge me and also allow me to work remotely if needed. Computer programming is something that I have been mulling over for quite some time but I don't have the time to learn it full time. SheCodes was the key to finally achieving this. SheCodes is an incredible platform to learn to code! It keeps your attention focused and is a really fun skill to develop! Everything was explained very well, the curriculum was easy to follow, and the workshops are very fun and accessible :) I'm grateful for everything the basics course has taught me, and I hope to move on to the advanced courses and eventually become a front-end developer!

I've been trying to start learning code for a few years and each time stopped because it was overwhelming, boring, difficult and the end result was a little black screen with "hello world" written on it. SheCodes changed the whole picture for me. Not only I enjoyed the workshop, I also intend to finish all the available workshops. The whole learning process was fun, easy to learn, empowering and the end result is stunting. I honestly never thought I could build something like that.

I feel really grateful for the knowledge and valuable experience acquired at SheCodes Plus. Matt keeps you motivated and inspired throughout the course, and the way he explains things makes it possible to build a fully functional weather app and enjoy the process. You quickly realize that learning to code can also be a lot of fun - I would often postpone going to bed, because I wanted to apply some new features to my project, or because I found out how I could improve my code and just couldn't wait till morning. Just completed the SheCodes Basics Course 😀. I enjoyed the course right from the start, it has been a fun and challenging experience. The videos are concise and Matt explains everything really well. The workshop was very challenging and very rewarding as well, I've learned so much in these past three weeks and I am excited to continue learn coding with SheCodes.

As a product designer I have to communicate with developers on a daily basis, their job is to make my designs come to life. From the start of my career it bothered me that I do not speak the same language as them when it comes to the design, so I was eager to find the right platform to give me some insight about how coding actually works. SheCodes had the perfect solution, the basics workshop was just what I needed to build a better relationship with my developers. after only 2 weeks of taking the workshop my communication with them became 10x more effective, it was amazing to be able to speak in the same language and to use the same terms that they use. Matt was a great teacher, the lessons were simple, short and clear. Since high-school I had this crazy fear of coding, because I was sure it was related to Math. I really enjoyed this course. I wanted to start programming for a long time not necessary for web design, but for other programming languages that are more used in my field. Nevertheless the course was so intense that it kept me awake for some nights and was proud for each little step I got further. Both thumbs up, totally worth it.

I thought the 3-week coding class was an excellent introduction to coding and definitely recommend it! Although I found Java Script to be more difficult than HTML and CSS, it came together in the final product. I even used coding to fix a program that I use at work!

I enjoyed the workshop (of the 3 weeks) very much overall, of course I had moments of frustration along the way because sometimes it was a lot of new things to learn and memorize and it does takes self discipline to make it to the end, but every learning process comes with frustrations and trial and error this is the nature of learning things. So I think once you understand and accept that it becomes less hard and challenging. Overall I am very glad I took this workshop because I find certain things about coding now pretty interesting and I realized how much it is being used in so many things most people use nowadays. I have learned new skill which is really nice and if at any point in the future I will consider anything to do with coding at least I will know that I have some knowledge about it.

SheCodes helped me gained back my Coding Skill. I was a graduate of Information Technology 10 year ago and was never given a chance to work in that field.
