My name is Lena and I'm a marketing and communication specialist. At first glance, my profession and coding do not seem to have much in common, however, when engaging with online marketing these two practices are inevitably linked. By completing this coding workshop, I was aiming to gain a more wholesome understanding of the field of online marketing. I constantly strive to broaden my horizon and I'm proud to have successfully completed the SheCodes Workshop. I really enjoyed the course as a first sneak peek into the world of coding and have learned three programming languages throughout the past three weeks; html, CSS and JavaScript.
This workshop was definitely an interesting and valuable experience, as it has opened to me the world of coding via Matt's extremely clear and streamlined explanations. Despite being an introductory workshop, I feel that it has helped me to achieve an understanding of the possibilities of coding, and inspired me only to learn further. Thanks, Laura
Even though I've been working with front and back-end developers for over 10 years, I've always had an extreme and irrational fear of learning to code. But with my deep love for UI and UX design and project management, I knew that I would be a better UX designer and manager if I knew how to code and after the last couple of weeks, I can totally see how my deeper understanding of code has had a positive effect on my work. I feel empowered and I'll be coming back for more @shecodes!
Building a weather forecast app from scratch was a challenging yet a very interesting assignment. I see that I have still a lot to learn and I'm eager to continue with my next workshop. Really excited! Thank you for the lessons. :)

I always thought coding was too difficult for me to learn, but luckily I was wrong. I absolutely loved learning the basics of HTML, CSS & Javascript. Great support if you want to get an idea of what coding is and how it works. I will definitely continue coding! At the moment I study Marketing Management, but definitely see myself working with data in the future. To me, a good (future)marketer should understand how websites work and how customer data is gathered.
I would definitely recommend SheCodes. I didn't have any experience in coding, but yet with the instructional videos and information it was quite easy (and fun!) to complete the challenges. Matt is a good teacher, he has a good pace and his enthusiasm is pleasant to listen to and learn from. The first workshop has definitely sparked my interest in coding.
This workshop is amazing! I am enjoying the entire learning process, every lesson and challenges. The contents are well organized and structured. Very interesting. It gives me excitement and motivation to learn more.

Matt explained everything really well. I very much liked the structure of starting with a short video, and then followed by a short assignment. This makes it easy to keep up and do all the lessons, even when you're busy with other things. I am looking forward to the second workshop with Matt!

What a valuable lessons to learn. It's easy to understand under Matt's guidance and also challenging your capabilities. Everything is well explained.Highly recommend for absolute beginners. As a designer, it also pushes me to think more out of the box.
It might seem daunting when you're interested, but you have no coding knowledge whatsoever. The short lessons make it very doable and easy to understand though. Occasionaly I got stuck, but there are always ways to figure out a solution. I've enjoyed the process very much!
Thank you SheCodes for this opportunity to learn JavaScript! After doing the workshop, this course really helped in understanding the principles. Even after finishing the final project demands, I found myself reading in on websites as stackoverflow and MDN as I wanted to change things up, making my code easier to read and removing as much repeats as I know how to at this level.
Matt Delac is a brilliant teacher, he explains each concept thoroughly with step by step instructions. These workshops are really for anyone, especially for beginners who require guidance. I struggled with JavaScript in the past, as a result of this course, I finally grasp the fundamentals.
I never thought coding would be this much fun! As an absolute beginner, it was easy and super fun to follow the classes. Can´t wait to learn more with SheCodes!

SheCodes provided a good and interesting approach to learning coding basics. Their videos are interesting and easy to follow. I also like how they let you learn how to research how to solve problems rather than simply memorizing a lot of codes. Despite that, I hoped they focused more on explaining basic essential coding techniques for HTML and CSS to help us also understand easily codes that we may come across with as we research and experimented with.

Easy to follow workshop. A lot of programming courses made me feel overwhelmed and in the end it was very difficult for me to complete them. SheCodes is different. Short classes, clear explanations and homework for each week, so that you can practice what you have learnt.
As a full-time mom, I am beyond happy that I took the courage and did this workshop. I can not believe I learned so much in just 3 weeks.#SheCodes made coding really fun and Matt's way of teaching was just perfect for me. I will recommend this workshop to anyone. I loved this course! The explanation that Mat gives is so clear and he teaches exactly the kind of stuff I wanted to learn in a basic course. The set up of weekly learnings and homework (with deadlines 😁) worked so well for me, as well as the challenges after each video. This way the learnings could be put into practice immediately!

In my search looking for a way to start with coding one of my colleagues suggested SheCodes. I started the workshop 3 weeks ago and really enjoyed every lesson. It is built in such a way that you gradually grow into building a code with HTML, CSS and JS. I am now considering also following the SheCodes Plus workhop. I can really recommand this very user friendly workshop.
A great course for beginners. I got to explore a lot of the basics behind the 3 languages and experiment with various functionalities. Also, very interesting and interactive setup. I enjoyed particularly the exercises at the end of each lesson, that was a true added value.
My coding journey for you to follow
I was previously intimidated by the coding world until I found this workshop. I am now confident that I can continue learning and partake in conversations in coding.
I always have had an affinity for software but never had the chance to learn about it in depth. I decided to take the chance to learn the basics and I have to say it has been a great experience... expected it to be way more complex! Of course, there is a long way ahead but I am super glad I took this chance to learn the basics with Matt, he makes it very simple and easy to follow. Can't wait to practice more and learn further.
So thankful I ended up taking SheCodes Plus. I can't believe I can actually build a website from scratch and that I developed a weather app myself! What a rewarding feeling. Coding is a great skill to have.

It's been a great course! I wouldn't have thought to learn so much already in only 3 weeks. Nor did I think that I would enjoy it so much but I did and I definitely want to continue my coding / programming journey. Thanks Matt & team! The explanations are very clear and they answer your questions really fast via Slack. Doing it on my own pace but still having deadlines in order not to keep pushing it forward is the right way for me to study. Keep up the great work SheCodes :)

The SheCodes Plus workshop is well explained and practical. There is a nice combination of video's and practicing. You learn by working on your own project. I didn't expect to be able to make weather app in such a short time! The last lessons enable you to start another nice project on your own, after finishing the workshop.
What an amazing way to learn how to code! Everything is explained super clearly in the video's of Matt and there is always a helping hand in the Slack channel to solve your questions. This course helped me a lot to get a better understanding of the world of coding :-)
It was great being able to see the fun things you can create in such a short period of time. The lessons were fun, clear and at a good pace. I would certainly recommend SheCodes. After having been interested in programming for a while, I followed a course but I got stuck on JavaScript. I didn't want to give up so I decided to give it one last try. Thanks to SheCodes, I now 'understand' JavaScript: I can see the logic behind it. The explanations are very good and you can practice everything immediately by doing the tests. All in all, I really liked this course.
SheCodes Plus allows you to go much deeper in your knowledge, especially with JavaScript! It was much more challenging than the workshop!

I didn't know that coding can be so interesting. You will start first lesson and want to go further no matter what time it is. This workshop is the best way to learn coding. You will see that you are more creative than you think.
Never thought I would actually have fun coding! Before I started this course I had the idea that it would be somehow a little boring but it's not at all. It can be frustrating sometimes but I prefer to call it challenging. Really enjoyed learning to code with SheCodes.
I came in with no prior knowledge of code. I was interested to start because I want to have my own businesses online, this had already lead me to web designing with templates and then wanting more freedom/control. I have to say, I didn't expect that I would enjoy learning online so much, the lessons are easy to follow and you get to practice straight away, which is amazing! You also have to research some things, all of these practices put together give you great habits for your future. I've flown through the first course and can't wait to get started with SheCodesPlus.
