This has been a really nice learning experience! I didn't just gain literacy in programming languages but this experience made me even more resilient. Was it difficult? yes, but it was fun and the sense of accomplishment is sweeter! Pushing the boundaries of discomfort is risky in the process but the most rewarding.

I really like the educational format SheCodes use. The combination of a flexible time-schedule and realistic deadlines make for balanced learning. Ofcourse picking up a programming language can be challenging at times, but the level of guidance along the way is very good. For me personally at the end of an experience it's the people who make it worth remembering, so thanks for a great course Matt, for your ever so kind assistance Lexi and for your patient help JoΓ£o. I would highly recommend this course! The classes are easy to follow yet challenging, and the workload is not too much per week, which makes it easy to keep up while studying/working beside the course.
I recommend the workshop to anybody who would like to get a taster of how front-end development works. Each class is easy to follow and full of useful, practical examples and it offers a chance for the students to try out for themselves. Disclaimer: it will leave you wanting to learn more.
I am surprised by how much you learn in such a short time. Before I started this course I had zero experience with building websites. It has been really fun creating something from scratch. I am going to continue with the two other courses.

This coding course has been a sneak peek to the world of coding that I though I would never understand. Surprise, surprise, one just needs the courage to start and clear and concise expiations how the enigmatic coding works.
As a true example of a coding and IT newbie (bear w me, I studied art), I never really thought I would be capable of creating a website... and then came SheCodes! The two weeks working with Matt's lessons have been eyeopening and as much as I learned so many new things, I genuinely started to enjoy coding, researching about coding and learning independently. SheCodes is great! I just finished the 3 week course starting from absolutely 0 knowledge about coding. I wanted to see if it it was something I could potentially pursue on a higher level. I would certainly recommend SheCodes. After having been interested in programming for a while, I followed a course but I got stuck on JavaScript. I didn't want to give up so I decided to give it one last try. Thanks to SheCodes, I now 'understand' JavaScript: I can see the logic behind it. The explanations are very good and you can practice everything immediately by doing the tests. All in all, I really liked this course.
Prior to this Workshop, I lacked confidence when it came to coding. Despite having tried numerous free coding workshops I felt that lacked the basics of web development. SheCodes has not only boosted my confidence but also provided me with the foundational knowledge to begin a career in coding.

Man... what a wonderful journey! Learning with Matt and his team was the best choice and investment of my time and efforts in 2020. I am very grateful for all that I have learned and truly recommend SheCodes to any woman in search of a change, new skills or an entrance in the world of web development. I started with the 3 weeks SheCodes workshop as a complete beginner in any area related to IT and tech. Matt's explanations and the lesson structure are very valuable and easy to understand and most importantly, guided step by step. There is also a wonderful group of people on the Slack platform where students are always welcome to share their challenges and get swift help form the team. After the 3 weeks workshop I decided to invest in the next step and take on the front end development course. I learned a lot. I had challenges, late nights and lots of satisfaction. A great workshop to learn the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Well structured, clear and challenging enough for a total beginner while not being overwhelming.
I would absolutely recommend SheCodes! The lessons are easy to follow and the workload is just right to fit into your every day routine. It's nice to have constant challenges as well to check if you understood what you've just learnt.
SheCodes React was surprisingly a fun challenge! The lessons follow an organized and simple way of learning how to code using React. Besides that, we also learn how to solve common problems and turn ideas into real apps/websites. π

My favourite parts are the little challenges that are very satisfying to complete and a really fun way to test the knowledge taught! 10/10 would recommend this for beginners wanting to learn to code (properly) but in a fun and supportive way.

I've wanted to learn the basics of coding for years but I had a terrible experience taking a C++ course in university from which I never recovered. SheCodes was a fun way to get over my past "coding trauma" and learn some new skills. Highly recommended!

I was rally surprise to learn such complicate tasks in such easy way of explanation.Some of them I had study additionally in other resources but the basic concept of Matt teaches is understandable.I don't know if I would ever undertaken to do it ,but it's quite exciting and funny work with elements of creativity and fantasy.I recommend for beginners or complete dummies to take his course (even for menπ€¦ββοΈ).Further I would like to improve my knowledge and practical experience in coding. I really loved this workshop. If you've been thinking about coding and have maybe been scared to because it "seems too difficult" or "looks boring", I can tell that's not the case at all. SheCodes makes it so easy to learn a lot of information VERY quickly and it's also very fun to work on your own homework and project. I also loved exchanging with the online community via Slack. It was so fun to see what everyone else was doing, help them with their challenges, and to get help when you're stuck as well.

I learned so much from Matt in the last 3 weeks. It was very hard work but definitely worth it. I went from knowing nothing about coding to being able to build my own website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm a university student so I was able to do the basic SheCodes course on the weekends next to my studies. I'm really proud of how far I've gotten in such a short amount of time. Happy Coding :)

Easy to understand the course and great for beginners. I wish there would be another course between the beginner 3 weeks course and the 8 weeks course. there is too big of a gap between 100 euro and 750 euro. A advanced beginners course would be great in between these 2 courses.
This 3-week beginners course has taught me so much, I highly recommend it! Matt is a great teacher and the 24/7 support within the community was very nice to have. Within the final project I thoroughly got to put into practice what I have learned. I will continue with the more advanced workshops very soon!

I would recommend this course because of the tasks with deadlines. The channels on slack were helpful but not well structured.
This is the perfect course to get into coding period. The course was great. Everything was well planned, although I felt like there was a jump I was struggling to catch up with. It definitely gave me a good insight and inspired to go deeper into this.
SheCodes was easy to follow, and so engaging! Matt not only teaches to you the basics, but he shares with you all the tips to make your code as detailed as possible and readable to other developers. The homework ensures you practice what you've learned after the lessons.
