I have started she codes after trying a few Udemy courses that were a bit too complicated which always made me want to stop. Matt is a great teacher and his explanations are detailed and easy to understand. Would definitely recommend anyone who would like a taste of this world.
It has been a 3 week-long Rollercoaster! So much fun, but also frustration, brainstorms, failures.... But hey! That's how we learn, right? I enjoyed the workshop a lot, I love how creative I could be and how much I learnt in such a short period of time! The lessons are explained well and the challenges are exactly what you need: not that easy but also not that hard, so you won't lose your motivation completing them. I really enjoyed the course, the explanation was clear and simple. I particularly liked that it wasn't theoretical and focused on teaching "real developer" practices, like how to use Google when you're stuck.

I've followed the SheCodes Basic workshop. I always thought I wouldn't be able to get the hang of anything related to IT or coding. SheCodes sure proved me wrong. It was so easy since everything is explained step by step in a very clearly instruction video by Matt himself. I can't wait to learn more about the world of coding.

This workshop was a great introduction to coding! Would recommend a 10000/10 :) Before I signed up for this workshop I already gained experience with HTML and CSS through self-study, which wasn't only a very time consuming endeavour, but also a frustrating one (at some point tears have been shed). So, I was really dreading JavaScript selfstudy and it felt like my basics could also use some extra polishing; would not recommend the selfstudy route... That's when I started looking for an easier way and stumbled upon SheCodes. And it's seriously the best thing that could have happened to me. The lessons are very coherent and very easy to follow, and all the homework and projects were not only great practice; but also lots of fun! It's also really nice that you have access to an entire community that helps you out if you get stuck on a problem and that you can determine your own pace if you're busy with school or work, or both, while being on your coding journey. I signed up for the other workshops as well, so I'm really looking forward to what I'm going to learn next. Thank you so much, Matt, and everyone from the SheCodes team!

When I was wondering about "What NEXT?" in my life, the thought of career change hit my head. Then started googling about learning coding sitting at my comfort zone (as having a toddler). SheCodes is a boon to me. I am not finding appropriate words to express my gratitude to Mr. Matt and his team. I am going to continue learning the advanced courses with SheCodes. I have got my confidence back after joining SheCodes. Being an unemployed for about 8 years in another country and now getting confidence back to kickstart my career was unimaginable. Today I finished my 1st SheCodes workshop, 3 more to go!! A few weeks ago i decided to started my journey with SheCodes workshop π©βπ» "Introduction to coding". It was a great experience learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript and VS Code. Before I started learning, I had no experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and VS Code. Glad I signed-up for SheCodes workshop and very excited to gain more experience in the Tech. industry. Matthieu Delac has made it so easy to learn through videos (online learning) that even a person with no tech. background can do it.
It was very easy to follow because of the good explanations. I really liked it, it makes it for sure more easy when it is so well explained.
The world of Code is simply fascinating. So much freedom and fun are created through it. I'm looking forward to continuing this journey and learning even more.

Really easy and simple to follow along. Loved the setup of the lessons with an explanation first, an example and then space to try ourselves.
Really easy to follow along and great lessons to understand the basics of coding. Weekly homework assignments also helped dive deeper into course content.
I loved the workshop from day one! I couldn't stop talking about it and recommending it to my friends. The lessons are clear and easy to follow, and the challenges are very stimulating. After solving even the smallest bug, I felt a confidence boost. I couldn't believe I was having fun while coding. But it happened! Even though it is a self-paced workshop, the weekly deadlines worked well to keep me on track. I recommend SheCodes to all girls out there who want to learn a new skill or start a new career.
It was a very challenge and exciting way of starting into the world of coding. I've learned a lot in those 3 weeks and having the community's support is one of the best incentive to keep going even when we are stuck in something. I work better with dealines, I've done online courses where we have no support or deadline where I couldn't learn that fast as with SheCodes. I am looking forward to the next step!

I appreciate how SheCodes doesn't underestimate the participants. In most coding courses I've followed, you have to 'copy the instructor', but here you get a challenge where you have to apply what you've learnt in a different scenario than the explanation video. I've had a lot of fun with the homework; and that's a first! The freedom you get in your solutions is great, since you don't have to deliver an exact match. If you have a solution that's slightly different than the suggested one, that's no problem at all!

The course was really good. I enjoy it a lot. It made me more curious about how to use these languages and made me want to learn more.
This is the second time I've tried coding! This time round it's all made much more sense and I've had much more success as a result. I've really enjoyed learning and expanding my knowledge and found the tutorials really clear and easy to understand! Loved having weekly homework to keep me motivated throughout the whole course.

I really appreciated the course. I tried to learn coding before with some volunteers, and felt totally frustrated. SheCodes has a very clear structure, everything is broken down into small steps, and every step is explained and practiced. I had no problem at all completing the tasks. When I had some challenges, the Slack community helped me out. The SheCodes course is well thought of and organised in a friendly and supportive manner. I have had a real sense of achievement with SheCodes. Coding with She Codes is fun!
Loved the classes! Everything was clearly explained, I barely had issues / questions along the way, and when I did, the response on slack was fairly prompt. I am definitely thinking of continuing and doing the pro workshop soon!

Coding allows you to immerse yourself in technology. Several searches led me to becoming interested in it. Currently, I'm studying computer science and coding is one of the most important parts of this field. Additionally, coding is fun and educational at the same time, which is awesome.
These past 3 weeks have been full of discovery, wonder, anxiety, amazement, a full gamut of emotions and feelings. It was easy and difficult at the same time, and I quickly lost track of the hours I put in, but it was all positive and fantastic. I got great help from the forums, the ladies and occasional gentleman are kind and understanding and always willing to help. A huge thanks to you all.
What a great second workshop! It was definitely more challenging and more advance but the final project is really amazing. I still can't believe I managed to build a functional weather app after only a few weeks. Thank you Matt for these amazing classes! On to the next workshop! :)

Learning to code with SheCodes is really fun. The lessons with Matt's explanations are very clear, with examples that make it easy to understand. With a background education in Grafic Design and a little bit of experience in SQL I'm really having fun writing my creative thoughts into code, it is designing on a whole other level! It's easy to follow and Matt provides challenging exercises every week. You learn the very basics with this course in an easy and intuitive way. You also have the chat in Slack which I found very helpful when I'm unsure about something in my code.
