The way Matt describes these complicated terms in such simple words, is very priceless. I had seen other related courses. However, none of them taught me as easy as SheCodes did. I am a big fan of small steps when trying something new and Matt does it in the best way possible. Hopefully SheCodes Plus won't be the end game for me and I will do my best to continue coding. Thanks to Matt and his brilliant team.

For someone who hasn't dabbled with codes since blogspot days, the program kickstarts with the fundamentals and provides a hands-on approach with interactive challenges. The workshops are well-structured, in bite-sized with live technical support via Slack and AthenaAi. Upon completion, I've gained a more in-depth understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Highly recommend SheCodes to anyone interested in exploring the world of coding and bridging into the tech!

SheCodes is a good format and forum for picking up basics in coding

Using the skills taught by Matt, I'm able to create a full portfolio page on my own. It definitely needed more refining, but hopefully I can do it when I've learnt React!

Great learning experience with Shecodes. It is useful to have assignments that simulate real programming work and develop a functioning app with API.

The course was very challenging but provides a good introduction to React. I learnt a few tricks along the way such as using other SVG icons, looping and refactoring, but lots of replaying was necessary and definitely still lots to learn & get used to when writing code with React!

Well-paced, clearly structured, and the bite-sized challenges went a long way to cultivate interest, consistency, and confidence.

Enjoyed the basic add-on lessons. I find it very useful in solidifying the fundamental knowledge, especially for the Javascript.

Great and fun learning experience on SheCodes. Previously, I struggled a lot trying to pick up javascript on various online platforms. I liked that SheCodes broke down the teaching in bite size which makes it really easy to follow and digest the content. Complex functions were also explained in layman terms, which helps alot in understanding what all the codes are about and why they are structured in those manner (which most platforms didn't care to explain). The weekly schedule also works well in pacing my learning and stopping my procrastination in completing the workshop.

This is a great workshop where I got to put all the previous projects and techniques taught into an online portfolio. I am excited to continue to refine the portfolio and share it with future employers! 🤞

I learnt a lot in this add-on series! I'm glad that I was able to apply what was taught in the weather app project into my world clock project.

It was challenging but the lessons are structured well and easy to follow. Definitely need to practice to get the hang of it but I think it's worth it! I enjoyed learning a new skill and am excited for the new workshop.

I had a lot of fun creating the weather app, learnt a lot & grow a lot from the process. Do you know that you can inject HTML directly from JS? Well, I didn't, but now I do! I love tough challenges & can't wait to be faced with more challenging projects!

SheCodes workshops are very easy to understand and learn! The lessons are explained carefully and I love that the lessons are sectioned into bite-size videos so that students won't feel so overwhelmed :)

I have tried other online courses and I found the topic on responsiveness to be not so straightforward. However, Matt's videos and demo together with some tips helped me to understand this better. I am thankful to the SheCodes team and I have learnt much about Flexbox, Bootstrap CSS Utility classes and Media queries.

Best place to start your coding journey!

I've been wondering how to make a dark/light theme page, with Basic Add-On, I'm finally able to make that!

I've joined a few courses from Udemy but nothing is like SheCodes! First, the deadline helps keep me on track on my journey. Second, the live support is definitely a plus to all students! Matt also explains a lot about VS Code which most online course doesn't. Looking forward for the next course!

I really enjoyed the lesson structure when doing the SheCodes Basic workshop. Matt is able to incorporate step by step learnings and follow it up with application that helps the learner understand concepts right after. It also helps that there is a Slack community willing to help wherever you get stuck.

SheCodes is the most non-intimidating way to get started on coding. Lessons are bite sized, fun and interactive. Loved that there were many challenges along the way so you're not just sat there listening to lessons for hours on end like a lot of other courses out there. Whether you're experienced or not, SheCodes basics sets a great foundation to whatever you're working towards.

SheCodes courses took me from having no understanding or confidence in my journey to finding coding enjoyable and feeling closer to that goal than I ever expected. I now understand concepts I once thought were out of reach, and I’m motivated to create more projects to keep improving my skills. I’d highly recommend this course to anyone who doesn’t know where to begin. Matt is great at getting straight to the point. I just wish a few answers were easier to find, but it all worked out in the end!

I was blown away by how the course structure made complex concepts so easy to grasp. The information was broken down into bite-sized pieces, which made it a breeze to follow. As a UX designer, I originally signed up for this workshop to learn basic coding to work better with frontend developers. But by the end of it, I found myself eager to explore the subject even more. I am so excited to announce that I have built not one, but TWO weather applications! Through this workshop, I was stretched to the maximum. Learning new syntax was difficult, but I am glad that this React workshop has given me the confidence to understand and implement new concepts.

I really appreciate for creating this valuable course. The way of explaining lessons are very clear and that is a significant point for students. Learning these three related topics (html, css and java script) together helped me a lot to progress faster and improved my skills.

Honestly, it is quite tough not having Bootstrap to help me with the styling. It is the struggles that help me grow! Though the project is far from perfect, I am very proud of how far I have come 😊.

SheCodes Plus was a fulfilling journey for me - racked my brains as I was introduced to API (the most exciting part), worked on advanced Javascript, pieced everything together, and built my very own weather app. Love the bite-sized videos and how Matt provided industry advice and tips in his capacity as a professional coder (on top of being a teacher).

Great! Videos are very clear. Much better than Udemy. I have personally attended some local courses and i do not find it as good as this. The instructor managed to break things down really simply. The Slack channel is useful and you almost always get a reply.

It's a good refresher course if you have learnt abit of HTML & CSS. On top of that, learning JavaScript for the first time was easy & fun to follow/learn. Overall, a very good introduction course to coding.

Initially, I was afraid that I couldn't keep up because I'm a total beginner. To my surprise, the instructions in the video lectures are very easy to follow! The more I learn, the more I'm looking forward to learning new ways to code. Creating my project from scratch is a total eye-opener and it definitely has helped me to be more confident in coding my website going forward.

This course is extremely beginner friendly without compromising on the good stuff! I feel adequately challenged and not overwhelmed by difficult challenges which helped me to build confidence in tackling subsequent ones!

SheCodes Plus was much challenging as compared to SheCodes Basic. Even then, the advantage of SheCodes courses is that we can re-watch the videos, and we are able to get great help from the SheCodes Team on the Slack channel, who answer our questions ever so patiently and promptly. It is also great that Matt will explain the rationale behind certain concepts and some good practices, rather than just step-by-step theory. It is a sense of achievement and joy when we see the codes work properly! Lastly, it is inspiring and fun to browse the projects of other students! Thank you SheCodes Team!

I truly love how the class were being conducted, even though the videos were pre-recorded but everything that was inside was very relatable. I love the challenges that were given too.

A really good workshop for beginners

This course is very interesting and I enjoyed learning the codes. A very big thanks to SheCodes.

This is an eye opening project that shows a lot of work is done in the background (coding) in order to create a project that looks simple on the surface. One has to be patience in learning as it is all about trial and error especially when encountering error during the project. Luckily the videos/source code that is provided has been sufficient and there are staff in slack whom you can approach anytime for help.

The course is concise, easy to absorb the information.

Highly recommend SheCodes to beginners who are keen to pick up coding. Love that the lessons are well structured, bite-sized and easy to understand. Also kudos to the SheCodes team who is readily available and willing to address any doubts and questions we have on Slack.

SheCodes broke down their course into multiple short lessons so each video is only a few minutes long which you can easily fit into your busy schedule. They're so easy to follow and so concise! Matt anticipates the problems we might face and he's so great at teaching.
