The introductory course to coding is highly recommended if you want to learn in an interactive way. The way the course is set up triggers your motivation and the ability to complete your project. You learn technical language and tools to use. The time spent on the course has gone very fast since it has been a lot of fun and caught my interest very much. At first I was pretty unsure if I could manage this. But with Matt's comprehensive tutorials (and multiple rewinds of the videos) I've managed to build a website from scratch. In the end I didnt have to look up everything, which showed me that I had indeed improved and retained some knowledge. Highly recommended.

I didn't like coding at first so I was pretty hesitant to give this a try but Matt explains it so well! I ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I always thought I wasn't smart enough to understand how to write code. I'd tried to learn in the past, and each time I struggled to feel capable in writing something on my own. Someone recommended SheCodes, and I'm glad I gave it a try. I feel like I have a much better understanding of what the different pieces do and of the syntax. I feel like I really can code, and I feel capable for the first time.

After having had enough with 0 hours contract jobs, I decided to make a change and start a new career. That was when I saw SheCodes Free Coding Class and joined. I now am really happy that I took the limited amount of time I had and put it in productivity. This course was very beginner friendly and I had help from them whenever I needed it! I really enjoyed this class! I had absolutely zero coding experience, and I will say this class was a bit more challenging than I anticipated. If you are someone who needs a lot of repetition, like me, you may be spending more than 5 hours a week working on this class. Matt is a great teacher who makes coding easy to understand, and provides a great deal of resources for students. The slack chat with technical support is very helpful as well. I feel very excited to continue my journey in tech and have already recommended this class to several friends!

The course has been really helpful. I like that it's step-by-step, interactive and with deadlines to meet. It's my first time studying in years, so maybe that's why I'm finding the 5-6 hours/week recommended time too little.

I got to know SheCodes from LinkedIn that so many people recommended. So, decided to join the free course first to see how it works. After free course with Matt, I enrolled the basic course directly. The best part of this workshop is not only the teachers are talking but also we have to do a lot of challenges by ourselves. And the students are helping each other. I even got some friends in the class. Now, finishing my basic course and i feel a bit sad. I'm so ready for the next. To be honest, the teachers voices are very important in online-courses because we can't see and read their lips. Matt use easy terms, clear voice and slow tones. I'm not going to pretend it was easy, I'm not going to pretend there weren't times that my laptop nearly went out of the window, but have faith because eventually this will all click with time and practise. The most beneficial part of this course for me was weeks 7 and 8 where we could code along with the videos to build the final project (I highly recommended doing this step by step with the videos rather than trying to do it all at the end). When I was working on the early stages of this course I never expected that the Javascript would be the part I look forward to doing the most, but it really is witchcraft and Matt is so right, it makes me feel SO powerful.
This course has reinforced my basic HTML skills but added CSS and JavaScript to make webpages look SO MUCH BETTER. Hugely recommended.
