I have never thought JavaScript shall hold up a challenge, but after watching Mister Delac's great videos over and over again, I conquered it. I wish to learn more because I am so excited. I can't wait to develop these skills further and see where they would take me.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes Python AI workshop. Working through each challenge step‑by‑step in the videos made a big difference for me. I’m a visual and hands‑on learner, so seeing the code in action while working thru each video made everything easier to understand. I would continue to recommend signing up for these classes.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basics workshop. It gave me a solid introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a way that felt clear, engaging, and fun. The videos were easy to follow and the schedule kept me motivated.

Videos and documentations are all outdated

It was great to re-visit some previous work I'd done with SheCodes with up-to-date modules about AI. The videos were easy to follow and it was straightforward to quickly produce a professional-looking web app.

I was devastated I couldn't study IT this year due to financial issues. However, when I was introduced to SheCodes by a relative, I was ecstatic! There was another method I could learn how to code. I want to thank Matt and the team for giving me the opportunity to learn. The videos were straightforward and easy to learn. Had little knowledge on coding from high school, but the educators did not teach me well as Matt.

SheCodes Plus was a really solid step forward in my coding journey. Before starting, I had basic knowledge, but this course helped me finally understand how everything connects — especially JavaScript, APIs, and real project structure. What I appreciated most is the clarity of the lessons and how practical they are. You don’t just watch videos — you actually build things step by step. The weather app project was especially helpful because it made concepts like APIs, functions, and real-time data feel much more intuitive.

This has quite possibly been the most rewarding of all the SheCodes workshops so far! Matt does a really fabulous job of guiding you step by step through the process of building your own fully responsive and professional looking portfolio page. I also really appreciate how honest the video tutorials are in that Matt doesn't edit out any of the "oops, something's not working in my page/ my code has crashed" moments, not hiding the reality of how common place it is for all Developers of all experience levels to inevitably encounter problems that require a little problem solving. The support team were also really helpful when I ran into a bit of a hitch, getting back to me really quickly! The SheCodes team really do offer an excellent service!

Another fantastic course 🤩 Other courses I've done are text heavy with no demo examples - the SheCodes content is full of live video walk-throughs with explanations of what's happening while it's being done. So much easier to learn this way!

Honestly I'm fuming, this entire course is an absolute scam. First of all, the videos are outdated and writing a stupid disclaimer on top of them is not enough; second of all, there is an entire lesson on how to convert the temperature on the nth weather app from celsius to fahrenheit (wasting time by constantly rambling about how you always forget how to spell it) just to tell me to delete that part because you don't want to explain how to extend that conversion to the forecast... Apparently learning how to apply fcking animated icons is more important than learning how to use state management... You literally claim that with the bootcamp you get "the ultimate training in coding to learn everything you need to become a professional developer" but I'm almost done with it and it feels like a total waste of money and time because it's all superficial knowledge at most. However I guess it's my own fault for not doing my research properly

Developing the World Clock was such a rewarding challenge! I learned so much about handling real-time data and time zones. Matt’s explanations in the videos have a way of making complex logic feel simple and intuitive. This Add-on really helped me solidify my JavaScript skills in a way that felt natural and fun.

i loved every second of it. It is user friendly, very easy to understand and the challenges and homework after each video makes it easier to practice and understand what we are learning.

These short videos make learning coding enjoyable

It was an absolute pleasure working through the SheCodes Academy. The entire journey was interactive, engaging, and motivating, and I always felt supported along the way. The platform was incredibly easy to navigate, and I loved how the projects were practical, hands-on, and reinforced the concepts taught in the lessons. The videos were outstanding as Matt Delac explains everything so clearly and breaks each topic down step by step. Whenever I encountered a challenge, I could always refer back to the videos, which made learning feel manageable and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the positive feedback provided whenever mistakes were made during the projects. It encouraged me to keep trying, learn from my errors, and gain confidence in my abilities. Overall, the SheCodes Academy was an enriching, empowering, and truly inspiring experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to start their coding journey, strengthen their skills and abilities while building confidence in creating meaningful projects.

Great introduction to Python! The course structure, with the regular challenges to practice what you have just learnt is great - so much better than just watching videos.

I LOVE that the courses are 100x way easier to follow along with step-by-step guided instructions (with video inclusion + well executed explanations for each step.) Having the courses be "self paced" makes a difference for those of us with busy lifestyles with little to no work-life balance. I couldn't recommend a more efficient and pro-learner bootcamp!

With the Python Basic course I took my first steps into programming with Python. The instruction videos and challenges were helpful and Matt has a clear way of explaining everything that makes it easy to follow along. I can definitely recommend the course.

This definitely had its fair share of mind bending, challenging moments but the video tutorials really helped break it down and unpack the logic behind the various stages of advancing and refining the code. I'm really happy with what I've produced at the end of it! I'm again super excited to progress to the next stage and learn more under Matt and his team! ☺️

This workshop was so fun! I really enjoyed building the project. The videos are also very helpful.

Although I wasn't a complete beginner, it had been many years since I coded and I wanted to get a refresher. This was a great choice: clear explanations, exercises that aren't too intimidating while still challenging, and many useful resources. The only reason why I'm not grading with 5 stars is because the audio of the videos was a bit low most of the time (even with all my volume up).

This was really tricky so I'm happy that I managed to do it. I think React is maybe not my language, but the videos were so helpful and I'm proud of what I made!

It's a good program with a good project at the end, but some videos are out of date with their websites and what works and what doesn't. While that is acknowledged in the video, it is not very helpful having to watch the video still, and then figure out what to do with the updated websites. Still a great project, just frustrating sometimes

Great course to learn from when starting as a beginner! Videos were very helpful and easy to follow. Final projects were fun to create.

When I first saw these classes I thought it was your typical complicated self-paced course, with zero direction and them expecting you to know everything at first go. As soon as I began my perspective changed completely, not only are the study videos helpful but the challenges test your knowledge and give more guidance especially if you did not understand. I came here with minimal knowledge of HTML&CSS, now I know how to build an interactive webpage using JavaScript as a part of the code. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I came in this experience to improve my skills in coding and i am proud to say that this SheCodes platform is a very interesting workshop because i got exposed to new interesting challenges and with the help of the videos i found them a lot interesting a challenging at the same time, but at the end of the time the perfect skills were gained.

Wow! I have so much respect for weather-apps 🤭, I didn't know it takes so much work and knowledge. It has been a challenging journey learning how to code in advanced Javascript, however I'm all for it, the silly mistakes and going through the same thing multiple times. It was a very challenging workshop especially for someone like me who is relatively new to coding. The step-by-step lesson videos, the SheCodes site resources, and the support staff team on Slack helped guide me to successfully complete my final project. I thoroughly recommend this React course. It is incredibly satisfying to produce something from what you’ve learned. I found myself remembering a lot from all the previous modules, which was motivating. I used a different API to the demo video, so I really had to figure things out for myself, which made it feel like real problem-solving. I could have spent weeks just styling my project, because that’s the part of coding I really enjoy. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited to keep coding, with a few small projects already lined up. This course has given me both confidence and practical skills to build on.

I began this workshop with zero confidence in myself and abilities and a very low self esteem but through the educational videos and the available assistance from slack i regained my confidence i did not think it would be possible for me to complete this phase, i am really proud of myself and how far i have come. this workshop did wonders for me now i am curious to see what the other workshops have in store for me i am so excited about my future thanks to she codes!

A valuable workshop with yet more complexity and new challenges. I really enjoyed learning how to embed maps, videos and social media to a web page and making it responsive. I created a page with multiple sections and used grids to organise the content. It was satisfying to produce a professional standard site and use industry tools. Excellent instruction, guidance and team support when needed. I am building the confidence in fixing bugs when they occur.

My SheCodes experience has been amazing. The workshops are structured in a way that makes even difficult concepts easy to understand. Enjoyed this part of react. Once you figure out the complexities of the new React framework you can easily get through the videos.

I sort of can't believe that I made this silly AI app all by myself! The videos were great, as always, and I am more than happy with the result of my project. I have enjoyed strengthening my knowledge of how to integrate APIs into my code using JavaScript. I also think I'm getting the hang of CSS - and flexbox in particular! Can't wait for more!

This course was excellent! Matt's videos really break down and explain all the steps, making Python so easy to understand. I'm hoping that my new understanding of functions will translate back to JavaScript, which I admit I have always struggled to master. Ready for the next level of Python!

I took this starter class as part of my professional development as a brand manager. I have dabbled very lightly in HTML and a little bit of CSS in the past but nothing too in-depth. I, like many other students, found the course structure very helpful! With as complex a topic as this, Matt does an excellent job of breaking down the different skills in very digestible chunks. The lesson videos are never more than 10 minutes or so, and he provides so many resources to find help, connect with other students, or learn the basic tools that are industry standards. The way he walked through each video was also very encouraging and I never felt dumb. I honestly found the course not too challenging (not to say I didn't get slightly held up at points) which I think is a testament to how well taught it is. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!

This one was a little more difficult as the videos are outdated and you don't realise until you have installed everything on your laptop. Only realised because I asked chatgpt what was going wrong. Also, hard to follow along as the new vite has different props, attributes etc that you need to use and it takes a while to work out why things aren't working

This one was more tricky, but the videos made it so easy to learn, use, and remember.

I loved making this little weather app using JavaScript. It was a bit of a learning curve but the instructional videos explain it all very well, and they are easy to follow. I enjoyed having some freedom to customise my weather app rather than just producing a copy of the example app! I have learned a lot and I am excited to learn even more in the next workshops!

Shecodes approach for teaching coding is tremendous. During learning, we had to do the assignments otherwise we could not jump to the next one. I personally watch only videos instead of practicing which is not a good habit but this method of Matt forces students to practice. I love the everything. As with all the SheCodes courses I've done so far, this was another brilliant one! Matt's easy to follow breakdowns within each video helped me to gain a fantastic understanding of how to build a response website. It was amazing that I was able to build a portfolio project to bring together all my work ready for future opportunities.

I started SheCodes about a month ago with zero coding experience. The videos and challenges make it really easy to learn. I especially enjoyed the final project for the Basics Workshop because it allowed me to apply all of the concepts I learned.

The videos were really easy to follow, the mini challenges after each lesson helped with understanding the concept. The projects were great too, the hands-on practice made me a little more confident with coding.

I had the best experience. The videos makes it easy for a person to understand what is taught.

This was a very hard project with so much learning. The teaching videos helped but it is hard to follow with lots of new information for a newbie like me.

The challenges in every end of the video was quite helpful for recapping the information given.👌

Python Advanced was definitely the hardest concept for me to grasp and truly understand. Data filtering was especially challenging. It took real effort to make sense of what each line of code did and why it worked. However, following the video lessons and completing the challenges eventually made the concepts much easier to understand. The best part? You can always go back to review the solutions and try everything again. I love that there's no pressure to get everything immediately rightand that's what makes SheCodes great. This course is absolutely worth it because the skills apply directly to real-world projects!

Easy to navigate through the modules and Matt explains everything in clear and concise language in short videos which makes it easier to absorb. The challenges and homework really drive the lessons home.

I learned about SheCodes when someone in one of my WhatsApp groups shared a post about a coding workshop for women in development. Although I faced challenges such as limited study time, I requested deadline extensions for homework and, later, for the workshop itself. Despite these obstacles, I completed the Basic Workshop. The video lessons were easy to learn and engaging, making me glad I registered for the workshop. This experience provides a good foundation for me as I intend to explore the use of computer programming in teaching, learning, and research. Thank you, Matt, and the team at Delac Foundation.

I used to think Python was a scary and difficult language to learn, but I now realize it's an absolute must! Going through the video lessons and challenges made it surprisingly easy to follow. There was zero anxiety about whether I was doing things correctly because the lessons provide a clear, step-by-step walkthrough for every homework submission. This course was definitely hard, but it was incredibly challenging and fun!

It was a course where we put into practice not only the knowledge gained in this course, but also throughout the bootcamp. It was very interesting to learn new techniques and logic that Matt mentioned throughout the videos.

This week was full of challenges and growth for me. Understanding and getting used to adding a grid and different themes took a long time, but I’m really glad I got there eventually. I’m excited to keep practicing and solidifying these concepts. It was also very helpful to build parts of this project alongside Matt’s video explanations of his own project!

Challenging! The walk-through videos were definitely needed in order for me to complete this course and I had help from Slack too! I would need to practice React coding more to feel confident in it but it is a really great introduction and shows you the capabilities of this form of coding.

This is very informational and good, but some of the processes are outdated, and it is difficult to figure it out on your own. The foundations are similar, but github looks different, downloading github desktop and setting up netlify are different processes than explained in the videos, and so it made making progress throughout the weeks difficult and frustrating

Every video, homework and assignment makes me love shecodes even more. Coding has been made fun and easy. I am so happy to have completed yet another milestone and eager to start a new one.

I joined SheCodes recently and have been thoroughly impressed by Matt's ability to break down complex concepts into smaller, easy-to-understand blocks. Each lesson video is short and to the point, and I also appreciate that there are separate sections for the 'Challenge' and the 'Solution'. Overall, it has been a great experience. I'm thrilled to have undertaken this course and to implement my learnings in a landing page; it is something I am incredibly proud of 😊 I am excited to continue this learning journey and grow more confident in my coding skills!

I had an absolute blast with this AI add-on course! It was super enjoyable, yet still challenging, and perfectly reinforced all the core lessons (even going back to the basics). The lesson videos gave me more than enough information to crush the final project. Seriously, I never realized writing code to use an AI generator was this simple, it's way less complex than I ever imagined!

I just completed the SheCodes Basic Add-on, and it has been such a great experience! The lessons were very easy to understand and follow through, even as a beginner.
