This workshop for beginners was very easy to follow and I enjoyed learning about the basics of coding. I also liked how asking for help on Slack was very accessible and it created a sense of community for new coders like me.
I've already taken several workshops. I always learn with the SheCodes workshops. They challenge me to learn more, and allow me to do plenty of hands-on projects.
I would highly recommend this course if you're wondering what is like to code or if you have a busy schedule but are eager to learn. To me, it was extremely useful and super fun! I initially thought it was going to be daunting to learn how to code but it ended up being enjoyable. Learning react is quite difficult in the beginning but in week 6, it's like you've been doing it for a few months. It's still not easy but you definitely feel like you understand the language better.

React Add-on was a great project to put into practise what we have learn in the React workshop, I quite enjoyed doing it, came across several difficulties but that is how you learn and definitly feel more confidant with React although I'm very aware I still have a lot to learn ... The last three weeks have been very informative, helpful and fun! I enjoyed every learning experience within the program.
I learned a lot from SheCodes. The fact that every class is followed by a challenge is really great to put our knowledge on use. I used to find programming logic really difficult but the classes and the project helped me to understand the logic of the functions and how everything falls into place on the code. I watched other programming courses before but this one is the one that helped me the most and it was also the most didatic one that I did.

Program is easy to follow and understand. I appreciate having multiple tools to reference (the video instructions, webpage demo's, and source codes). As a complete beginner, this course was really easy to understand and follow. The course builds on the knowledge learned from each lesson step by step. I like that it is a mixture of learning videos and tasks, this ensures you have to implement what you have learned in a practical way too. Great that you can do it in your own time and ask for extensions if you cannot complete the workshop in the given week assigned. Learning React was a bit challenging but Mac nailed it. The explanation were detailed and helped me through each step. This workshop just made me more curious about Tech than ever.

Since I started this course, I have gained so much knowledge and skills that I feel comfortable to continue working on my portfolio after I finish all the courses. I found learning React challenging, however having the opportunity to code whilst listening/watching the videos allows for room to understand the concepts and recreate them. I have learned a lot from the basic courses, that's why I signed up for plus courses for next 8 weeks Meanwhile, I am not sure if this is actually what I am looking for, but I will know more after completing the plus courses. I like SheCodes self-pace learning system, which much more flexible than live classes as I could learn according my availabilities.
This is a nice addition to the Basics workshop! I've learnt new CSS techniques that will eventually help my projects look much better. I'm not really into the CSS transform properties and the fancy backgrounds because I think that they are too "noisy". However, it's good to know how to work with these tools for future reference. I really enjoyed doing the final project and appreciate the fact that it looks really good and much more interactive for the user. It was nice to have Matt's support throughout the project development.
learning react was definitely not easy. it's almost like learning a completely new language. But I would say that with anything, no matter how strange and unfamiliar it feels, if you stick with it long enough, you will become familiar with it.

SheCodes Basics has been an amazing learning experience and opportunity. It is quite hard to believe that after only a couple of weeks I have been able to code my first website from scratch! I believe the program is well structured and especially well explained: Matt is a great teacher, clear, concise and linear. Lastly, I particularly appreciated the Challenges at the end of each class: it is quite a game changer, as it helps a lot to keep yourself involved and on track.
