It was very interesting. The course syllabus is useful and fun. Lots of interesting tasks and useful information. But a day I had to allocate about three hours for learning to code. It was an interesting experience.
I enjoyed the other SheCodes workshops (Basic and Plus), but the React workshop was very disappointing. The help from the SheCodes Slack channel was pretty apathetic - my questions and the questions of other students were often "answered" with really short and thoughtless responses that made it clear that the team was not actually looking very closely at our issues. At the time of writing this testimonial, React is on version 18, but Matt is teaching version 16 after making a big to-do about always teaching us the latest version. The changes between the two aren't that significant, but they were significant enough that it made completing challenges more difficult than they should have been. I am also appalled at how often I have heard "just Google it" during this course. I paid to learn React, have someone walk me through the terminology, and follow a step-by-step guide, NOT to read forum after forum of coding jargon I don't understand. It was also very disheartening to have to complete a weather application YET AGAIN after going through it once (or twice, if you count the last two weeks of the program) in the Plus course. All in all, I did learn about React during this course, but I feel completely unprepared to tackle it in any scenario outside of a weather app.
I enjoyed the opportunity to further develop my coding skills. There were definitely times I was frustrated, but I learned a lot and the results are worth the effort!
This was such an amazing workshop! The structure is really great for new coders! If you are on the fence about learning to code, this is your sign to DO IT! Thanks so much to Matt and the SheCodes team. Cannot wait to learn more!
This is a really good course for an introduction to HTML, CSS and Javascript. The videos are very easy to follow along with enough time to complete all lessons and projects. At first, it was a bit tricky considering a semicolon was the difference between completion and some 30 minutes spent in complete confusion but once I recognized those small peculiarities and learned from them, the final project was very manageable and everything fell into place very smoothly.
I had a lot of fun learning a new skill. I really enjoy creating and designing websites.
SheCodes is my first course in Front-end field and I was zero in all this staff, so I can definitely recommend this course if you are willing to learn and want to change something in your life or to have this chance, just in case, as all Ukrainian are facing it now. In a few months you will be able to build the page you are looking at or any other you want! That is impressive! Join and test it yourself!
Learning coding feels like learning a new language. Thankfully this course is designed by fluent experts who break it down in comprehensible chunks. I'm really enjoying it!

Wow what a fun ride! Looking back 5 months ago when I first started this journey I knew nothing about coding, and now I'm able to build a weather app. This app looks simple but there was a lot of hard work behind it. Can't wait to learn more about React!

React has been really interesting to dive in, and we can also take the chance to improve the weather app we did from the Plus workshop! Always a pleasure to be learning from Matt and seeing how he is also learning together with us during the videos, and debugging issues we encounter at the same time. I learned a lot from all these workshops and really looking forward to see what I can do with my skills. I also appreciate the SheCodes team checking and following up with us on Slack to see how we are progressing at times as well. I'm very happy I joined Shecodes Max the training has been amazing. I have learned so much programming language in a short period of time. Each lesson is explained and demonstrated throughly. I like the fact that I can work at my own pace and also reach out to someone for help if needed. I'm looking forward to becoming a full-stack developer.
Working full-time, these lessons were very easy to incorporate into my busy schedule and I was able to learn & complete my homework without the pressure of an imminent deadline. The course is very well-structured and when followed as recommended, building knowledge of the coding languages was seamless.

I wanted to see what coding was about but there were many bootcamps to choose from and some seemed overwhelming. SheCodes Basics was affordable and it allowed me to learn and try basic coding. If you get stuck on a coding problem, SheCodes provides various types of help in better understanding and fixing the problem.
Even though my own circumstances became not ideal after the first week, I still enjoyed everything I learned in the course!
Great lessons and although some areas were a little tricky, once you realised your mistake you learnt alot for the next time! It is great to be learning something that I am unfamiliar with and challenges me.

The first 3-weeks stage of SheCoding was really amazing! I enjoy it! I've done it really quickly because it was interesting. It is great that the course is divided into small independent parts. You can learn as much as you can.
As a total beginner, I found it surprisingly easy to understand. Matt explained every subject clear and by doing challenges every now and then you are learning by doing! I still have a long way to go, but until now im super happy with how its going!

Dear SHECODES This is an amzing platform for a beginner to learn coding. Nice and simple little project. I enjoyed working on the project and I learned some new things this week. I really like how Matt explains different techniques, he is not just showing you how he codes but he explains the logic behind it.
