I like this courses and this challenge, it's allow me to gain new skills. I make my own weather app, liked this process so mush. Previously it was a landing page, now it's a weather app. It's not only the implementation of everything I've learned. This is a very easy to follow along program for beginners. I think this really 3 week workshop has shown me that I can really enjoy coding as a career!! I can't wait to learn more and get deeper into this field. The instructor is easy to follow and gives great resources, so you never feel lost for long.
I've achieved more in the last couple of weeks on SheCodes than I have in the last few years when I've tried to learn through other teaching platforms. SheCodes breaks down the essentials into short and informative videos, and the demonstration challenges really help to build up the learning further.

I was unsure about taking the plunge with this course but so glad that I did! While it has been hard work, I have really enjoyed learning the basics of coding. She Codes was such an amazing experience to learn the basics of coding in a step by step fashion. I took the class to have a better understanding of what coding is, as a teacher that now has to teach coding as a part of the curriculum. However, I am now so excited to continue to develop these skills as a creative outlet.

I am impresseΠ² about the way of learning. All information is good prepared and structured. It is easy and understandable.
I was originally going to take another computing course, but only came across an instagram ad and was like 'oh, let's just check them out and see'. Never did I know that I'd be joining the SheCodes Basics class 2-days later, I honestly learned so much during the 3 weeks. I'm not much a fan of online classes, but Matt explains things so well it's honestly so good being a part of this. It's so fun, the challenges and the weekly assignments are so useful and so fun, I love to learn new things--so, the challenges really help motivate this whole experience. Also, the idea of having Slack and getting involved with other students' questions, and giving help is honestly just great--a lot of other online classes don't have this sort of community where students are able to help one another. I can't wait to explore the other courses in the upcoming months!

It was a great experience .Sometime was it really tough but at the end of the day , was really fun to learn all the new things.
SheCodes changed my life immensely! I worked really hard, and so did they. The agile structure of the Bootcamp, the way they actively tune in to the local community, and the knowledge, experience and care Matt and his team exhibited all worked toward making my Bootcamp experience a fantastic one for learning responsive web pages. The curriculum was laid out in a way that builds naturally into the next step. It's not rocket science, but even if it was, rocket science could be learned if someone takes the time to present the concepts to you in easily accessible pieces as SheCodes does for every workshop.
I would like to thank you for your work and for the opportunities you gave to Ukrainian women. I have learned a lot from your course. It was very interesting for me and I will continue with pleasure if there is such an opportunity.

A great and fun way to learn coding for beginners.
At the beginning, the course seemed A LOT and quite difficult. But when I started the second week, the fun begun! Doing the final project really taught me to use everything I learned during these weeks.
This workshop was fantastic and I have learned many new knowledges. SheCodes really helped give me the confidence to start my coding journey. I did some basic HTML and CSS in Uni but I found it very confusing and overwhelming. SheCodes simplified the process and made it very enjoyable and much easier to learn and I'm excited to continue this journey.
My only regret is not starting shecodes sooner! I found these workshops back in January but couldn't bring myself to take the plunge. At the end of August I finally decided to try. I wish I had started sooner! I feel excited everyday to learn something new. I can't wait to start the next workshop. Thank you Matt and shecodes!
I never thought that I would learn coding without going to college but then I found SheCodes. Now I can say that I'm very happy to have learned how to code and I can apply my knowledge at my current job.

This was my first time ever trying to code and Matt was a great instructor with straight forward and easy to follow lessons. I really enjoyed the course and had fun learning from it and from other students on Slack. I have tried a couple of other workshops that were months and months of lessons. I still could not wrap my head around how JS connected to HTML & CSS which made me feel defeated and simply not good enough. Now after this fun brief course I have a pretty solid understanding! I am excited to see how much more I can learn in a short time span.
I had a great time with SheCodes. All tasks were not very easy, but Matt made the coding clear. Also you have to pay attention to the details, it's really important and be self taught to learn some CSS rules, tags etc. It's not hard with Matt though. He shows the right way how to do it right.
It was very helpful for me as a javascript newbie! It's really cool that my knowledge and skills are improving with each lesson! Now I have a burning desire to learn Javascript in depth. Many thanks to the SheCodes platform.

I learned such an amazing amount about how to built a beautiful website in such a short amount of time. Not only did I learn how to do specific things, but I also learned how to look things up on my own. This will allow me to do even more than I learned in this class in the future, and continue to build upon the knowledge I gained in this course. This will help me in so many different aspects of communicating with designers, engineers, etc. in the future.

I always wanted to learn how to code. I have spent a lot of time in the customer service/food service realm and always saw advertisements for coding workshops. Three weeks ago, I took the leap and I don't regret it. I definitely have a mind that likes to figure things out and so seeing the back end of everything has been super cool. This course was definitely nostalgic, reminding me of my time trying to edit my Myspace profile to something a little more personalized. I definitely want to continue my journey and learn more.
At SheCodes Basic, I learned a lot about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in just three weeks. I really liked how workshops were structured, challenging us to make practices by doing exercise what we'd learned. I've learned so much in just three weeks. It's all about hands-on learning. Great refresher for basic HTML, CSS, and JS. It's suitable for people who have never coded beforeβgreat explanations, homework assignments, and projects that keep you accountable throughout the course. The only reason for my 3/5 stars is because I already knew how to the content in this particular course. Skip this course, however, if you recently learned HTML, CSS, and JS and have a good grasp of the fundamentals. I suggest you proceed with the higher-level curriculum.
Would highly recommend SheCodes Basic course to anyone who are even slightly interested in knowing how to code. You can choose your own pace of studying (do have deadlines tho & it's a good thing), lessons are structured and on point, challenges are short and fun to accomplish and you can also always ask for help from team if you're stuck with something. I had a great time learning basics and really excited to learn further!

Loved SheCodes Basic! Short and straightforward videos with clear explanations and simple examples specifically designed training material for beginners and advanced students alike. Extra info with links at the bottom of each video where you can learn more. Who knew that it would be more difficult to decide on the colors you want to use for your final project than the coding part itself π . The lessons taught by Matt, were super clear and manageable. Having the slack team available for when we got stuck was so nice, and helped keep up morale and motivation toward learning more and having fun doing it. Outside of that the other SheCodes resources, such as the gradient and palette features, and shecodes radio rocked ! Most importantly, they were really understanding with timing; I needed extensions due to health concerns and power outages, and they made it really easy and stress-free to request more time. 10/10 would recommend.
I really appreciate the step-by-step process of this course. I feel like learning and practicing in steps and then later on applying it into a project is really helpful. I also enjoy the organization of the program and feel adequate enough to know where to look for help and where to find references in order to support in my learning.

This workshop has given me a general knowledge of coding, allowing me to know what's out there coding-wise. It gave me the big picture of the possibilities and limitations (if there are any!) of coding. I am delighted to be able to build a fully functional application, to have learnt technical terms and most importantly to understand the logic behind coding. Although I don't wish to become a developer myself, I am pretty sure this knowledge will come in handy in all my future professional endeavours. Regarding the workshop structure, in spite of feeling somewhat overwhelmed by some weeks' workload, I find it positive to have a weekly-basis step-to-step approach to the workshop, otherwise, it would be easy to lose rhythm and fall back on progress. I joined SheCodes after not knowing if I wanted to return for my graduate studies in Psychology. I was feeling lost and without direction in life, and was also dealing with chronic pain from a spinal stenosis diagnosis. I spoke to a friend of a friend who is a professional full-stack developer and they told me all about their career. The next day, I looked into coding schools and was happy to stumble upon SheCodes. The lessons have been easy to follow and learning has become exciting again. I am so happy to be here.
