SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to coding. I had tried another class previously, but struggled to gain momentum. The format of SheCodes, which broke each concept down and then allowed me the opportunity to practice using it, was very effective. Most importantly, this experience gave me the confidence that I can learn to code and I look forward to progressing through additional classes.
SheCodes is an incredible experience. I never thought I would be able to code since I had the stigma that coding and programming languages were something complicated. Coding is not easy, but it is certainly not impossible. Thank you to Matt Delac for sharing all his knowledge and skills to help women like me achieve our goals in the tech field, a male-dominated industry. Also, I am thankful that I could access my course, even though I did not finish it in the estipulate time for personal reasons. The good news is that once you join SheCodes, you will always have access to your courses and projects. I can wait to keep learning!

SheCodes beginner workshop was challenging yet doable, with resources like slack you can get help from other peers as well as professionals. I started this journey in January and had no idea that I would be so interested in learning more about Front-end Development. This last few months learning HTML, CSS and Java helped a lot in my professional career. I recommend this workshop to everyone that is curious about front-end development.
The self-paced lectures and assignments improved my understanding and hands-on practice of coding. It eliminated the far-reaching idea of what I thought coding was and what was required. Coding can be learned and done by anyone!

I've always known a little bit of coding but never enough to confidently use like I've been able to learn so far with SheCodes. It's been a really good experience and done in such a way that I didn't feel too overwhelmed and felt like I had a lot of time to learn without feeling like I needed to rush to complete any of it.
I really enjoyed this workshop. Even though it was only 3 weeks, I gained so much knowledge. When I began the workshop I knew a little bit about VS Code, HTML, and CSS. Now that I've finished I've learned even more and I was introduced to JavaScript. I was honestly very nervous about JavaScript but it was taught in a way that made it seem less intimidating and easy to understand. I loved the short lessons and the challenges that followed. It allowed me to test my skills and make sure I was truly understanding the information. The solutions were insightful and I feel like I learned a lot of tips from those as well. I highly recommend this workshop to everyone. Beginners will find it easy to follow and those that already know how to code can refresh their skills.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking the self-paced Basics class at SheCodes. Matt is an awesome instructor and while classes are pre-recorded, I felt as if they were live because Matt was engaging, entertaining, and really broke down concepts to make them understandable. I loved having the lessons and homework as a I learn by doing. I also had a ton of support with the SheCodes Slack community and was able to ask for help when needed or check the threads for tips and guidance on assignments.
As someone that knows nothing about coding, this course took me step by step and I truly learned so much!

Before SheCodes : Professionally an administrative assistant since 2014; I knew I could take my skills to a new level. I have had so much fun doing this course! I procrastinated a lot before starting my homework every week but once I started, I was not able to stop obsessing over all the different things I can do with what Matt taught during the course. Joining SheCodes has been one of the best decisions of my life. I always found coding interesting but never thought I could do it as I have Dyslexia and struggle to stay focused, so I thought it would be way too hard to understand and learn. The way the lessons are built and presented makes it so easy to get things done because you can take your time, pause the videos and have as many breaks as you need, and Matt explains and demonstrates it in a way that somebody like me can fully understand. Having challenges to do was also really helpful because it's allowing you to practice and make sure you know what your doing before moving on. I had a lot of fun these past 3 weeks and i couldn't be more grateful to this program for what it has provided me with, I'm looking forward to starting the next workshop. Thanks so much SheCodes!

I've always been interested in learning Coding in my country but there isn't any classes or lessons available to learn from. There are a lot of websites to learn from but none of them seemed to be able to give me the learning experiences that I'm looking for until I discovered SheCodes through a friend. So I decided to give myself a challenge and go for it! As I slowly learn more, I find myself enjoying Coding. I love how every lessons are neatly organized, the format of the course, assistance available through slack and assignments are not peer-graded too. Not only that, due to personal issues, I wasn't able to complete the course on time but I'm glad that the SheCodes team were generous about the extensions they gave me. So to those who are unsure of learning coding or where to learn from, I hope that you'll give SheCodes a try! Definitely worth the money and time learning from!
Unlike other online courses, this is actually impossible do drop. The frequent deadlines, challenges and homework do not let you procrastinate and slack off, but the workload is well balanced and the learning program coherent and easy to follow. It's like being in an actual school but with the comfort of your own home and time!
As a marketer I often worked with CMS systems and felt very limited in the impact I could have on a website. Learning how to create a website from scratch means I can be a lot more creative and make people's visions come true!
