The lessons were well-structured, easy to follow, and I loved how I could immediately apply what I learned through hands-on projects. I love how Matt explains every step from zero, not assuming you already know the concepts. The pace is great, you can adapt to it according to your availability and even if you already know the basics, the lessons are not boring at all, you only will finish faster than expected and then move on to the next one! I am loving it so far and yet have so much to learn, thank you!

Completing the SheCodes Plus program has been an incredible journey for me. This course was a bit more challenging the the first one but I believe it it proof that we I am learning and I am confident with what was covered.

Coming back to complete this after more than two years of finishing SheCodes Basics was a bit of a challenge because I had to refresh my memory. However, with Matt, learning is super easy. I started my coding journey last year through FNB Academy, where I built a strong foundation in the basics of web development. As a stay at home mother I wanted to build a skill I was passionate about that would also serve me as I transition back into the work force at some point. After the FREE coding class I was impressed with how much I quickly understood and went ahead with the next step into the workshops. I am learning at my own pace and loving every step. I love that my son looks over my shoulder every now and then and asks questions, because coding has now peaked his interest as well at only 6 years old! I look forward to learning more as I move into Python!

This was a surprisingly useful workshop that I learned so much about. Even highlighting concepts that I did not know or understand about my future after taking this course. I really enjoyed the information, and I know it has already made a huge difference in my LinkedIn and goals for my career.

Good for additional practice. Good to try and build it first based on what you learned before watching the tutorials.

I am learning so much. I'm gaining more confidence with each lesson, and I'm not stopping. If you are from the era of MySpace and were into customizing your backgrounds, try the free course, and if you get the good grabs of the concepts from the free course, try all of the Basics Classes AT LEAST. BUT if you really GET IT up to that point and love creating or trying new code, just get all the classes and keep going.

The final project was very helpful in learning how to integrate AI APIs and APIs in general.

I was devastated I couldn't study IT this year due to financial issues. However, when I was introduced to SheCodes by a relative, I was ecstatic! There was another method I could learn how to code. I want to thank Matt and the team for giving me the opportunity to learn. The videos were straightforward and easy to learn. Had little knowledge on coding from high school, but the educators did not teach me well as Matt.

Learning AI and practicing how to create an AI generator has been an incredibly eye-opening experience. I started this program with little coding knowledge, and it totally boosted my confidence in coding skills, motivating me to keep learning and grow.

I liked the way in which the workshop was structured. The challenges after each topic helped reinforce my learning. The instructor was very clear in the way he explained each topic and his walkthroughs of the solutions helped.

I recently completed the SheCodes Plus Add on workshop and it was a great learning experience. In this workshop, I built a live world clock that displays the current date and time for different cities across multiple time zones. Using a select element, users can choose between different locations, and the time updates dynamically. One of the most exciting parts was learning how to work with Moment.js to display live dates and times. I also added extra features like showing the user’s current location and linking back to the homepage when viewing another city. Everything was explained in a clear and practical way, which made the concepts easy to understand and apply. I truly enjoyed building this project and seeing how powerful JavaScript can be when working with time and different locations around the world. I'm grateful for the learning experience with SheCodes and excited to keep building more projects as I continue my coding journey. 🚀

Learning how to integrate AI into a website was really interesting and opened up a lot of creative possibilities. Throughout the course, I explored how AI can be used to generate content dynamically and make web applications more interactive. For my project, I built a Character Name Generator that creates names based on a user’s description of a character. It was really fun to see how a few details could turn into unique and fitting names, and the project helped me better understand how AI can be used as part of a real web application.

I am learning to be disciplined with my studies

Learning Basic coding has been one of the most empowering skills I've gained. At first, programming seemed complex and intimidating, but starting with the fundamentals made it much easier to understand. As I practised writing simple programs and solving small problems, my confidence grew.

It is a very interesting learning experience that I'm enjoying and gaining knowledge in the field, and you can do the most with the different types of skills provided.

As someone who has always been curious about tech but lacked the means to learn it, your program has opened a door for me and many other women. For this, i am highly grateful. The lessons were empowering and very clear.

Learning about grids, rows, and columns is a challenge, but well worth it! The lessons are structured in a way that allow me to play around with divs and sections extensively. I am happy to complete this lesson, more confident in how to structure grid boxes and sections without using Bootstrap.

This class was extremely well put together and I would highly recommend it my family and friends. I learned a lot and look forward to the next class.

This add-on workshop was a great experience and helped me improve my front-end skills beyond the basics. I learned how to use more advanced CSS techniques such as CSS Grid for layout, hover animations, transitions, and transform effects to create more interactive and visually engaging webpages. I'm also really glad that I didn’t skip this workshop, because it helped me understand how small design details and animations can make a webpage feel much more dynamic and polished. This has truly been the best thing I have ever done, learning this has been so much fun and a lot easier to understand.

Having been a literature and arts person my whole life, I never pictured myself coding. I'm so glad I took a chance on learning something outside my comfort zone, because it has been so rewarding! I absolutely loved diving deeper into Python and building a final project that could showcase all the things I learned about working with data. Python was much more challenging for me to learn than HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and there were times I got really frustrated. However, this meant that every time some new information or concept really *clicked* and I could successfully implement it in my code, I felt a huge sense of accomplishment. Now, I love when I'll be talking with someone or watching something that includes data and realise how I could interact with that data in Python. It's not something I ever thought I could do, and feel really proud that I've stuck with it. Learning Python has become a new tool I use to create things I never thought I could create before, like interactive games and graphs to chart my reading habits. I'm really sad the class has come to an end, but I look forward to building on the skills I learned to create my own projects!

Another fantastic course 🤩 Other courses I've done are text heavy with no demo examples - the SheCodes content is full of live video walk-throughs with explanations of what's happening while it's being done. So much easier to learn this way!
