SheCodes Coding Workshop Reviews

For a while, I was very interested in coding but I did not know where to start and where I should start. Until I came upon a SheCodes link and started the workshops with them. I would love to continue my learning journey with SheCodes!!

I would definitely recommend SheCodes, I had a great time learning the coding. Matt is a great teacher, the lessons are easy to follow and lots of support provided from the SheCodes community.

I wasn’t sure if I would like coding but this program has made me love it! I took a chance and found something that is fun and challenging. The videos are very informative and easy to understand. Im excited to learn more in the next workshop!

I am so grateful for the opportunities that SheCodes provides to women. With the SheCodes Basics course I was able to finally advance in coding 👩🏼‍💻. The program is so well structured and it took me through various stages of development of a simple page offering lots of challenges to resolve along the way. I've created a page as my final project and I must say that being able to create something from scratch and then see it work feels very empowering 💪. So I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn how to code and I'm looking forward to learning more about front-end development 🦄.

She Codes has been truly an amazing experience thus far! I knew little to nothing about tech coming in and thus can attest that it is very beginner friendly! I look forward to learning more in the advance courses!

I have split feelings about reaching the end of my SheCodes journey! On one hand I am proud of my accomplishment but on the other hand I am sad that I have no more challenges to do! I have really enjoyed learning all about coding and in particular, React. The videos have been clear and very informative, I love Matt's style of teaching, and if I've ever had a problem the SheCodes team have been on hand to help and are so kind and supportive with it too . I have found my new passion and I'm so keen to continue with my own independent learning in the hopes of becoming a React Developer at some point. I will be keeping an eye on SheCodes and signing up to any future courses they create! Thank you so much for sparking my interest and opening up a whole new world for me. I really feel like it has changed my life and future prospects.

I really enjoyed learning basic coding with SheCodes. There's a great mix of theory and challenges, so you continually put your newfound knowledge into practice. Each module is explained step-by-step and there's a supportive Slack channel if you need any advice. Thanks to SheCodes, I'm looking forward to discovering more about coding.

I have completed "SheCodes Responsive"!! Wow! It has been a long journey since I started "SheCoded Basics". I had never learned how to code until I started taking this workshop on SheCodes and never imagined that I would be ever able to code, but now looking at what I have been working on including my own website, which I have created as a final project of SheCodes Responsive, I feel much more confident with my skills and I can see lots of potential in myself which I have never seen thanks to SheCodes, Matt Delac, and SheCodes' wonderful informative professional team!

SheCodes is amazing place to start learning about coding. I thought it was something I could never understand. But Matt is a great teacher. He gives instructions step-by-step in an understandable and light way. These 3 weeks were really enjoyable, fun and productive. This course raised my interest and helped me gain more confidence in this sphere.

I've done all the SheCodes courses and absolutely love them! Highly recommend doing all of them if you're keen on learning how to code.

SheCodes has been the best experience! I've been able to learn a lot using my own schedule. I find myself looking forward to each lesson. Matt makes everything understandable, and I can go back to review ideas that need it.

This Responsive month showed me that I need to spend more time learning how to code, because without practice I can't do what I really want to do.

Excellent workshop, I loved the opportunity to have so much practice by doing little websites and learning more about Bootstrap, Flexbox and Grid. Matt is an excellent instructor. I really enjoyed this workshop from beginning to end. I also felt more creative. I cannot wait to start SheCodes React.

It was a great experience and an opportunity to learn something new. I'm very thankful to the whole SheCodes team who made this course so easy to understand and challenging at the same time.

My programmer boyfriend has been nagging me for years to start learning to code, but I've felt reluctant. It seemed difficult and overwhelming. This summer I felt open to learn something new, saw an ad for SheCodes, and started the basics course. I had some minor experience with HTML and CSS as a blogger, but JavaScript was completely new to me. SheCodes made learning all the basics easy to understand with a good amount of challenge making it very enjoyable. I'm definitely left wanting to learn more!

I loved learning with Matt. All the lessons are explained in an understandable, simple language and the thing that worked for me well was to immediately get an exercise after a learning video. So you practice what you have just been taught. Works great for me!

It was challenging and a lot of fun to learn more about responsive design. This workshop definitely helped boosting my CSS and Bootstrap skills.

I am very glad that I had the opportunity to study in the SheCodes project. I really learned a lot and I stopped being afraid to write code. Now I'm making mistakes and correcting mistakes. I feel more confident in Javascript. I feel progress and am very grateful for this feeling!

I have been self-learning via different channels like youtube, Udemy and other online schools. Matt is the one I would recommend as his instructions are very clear and easy to understand for laymen. Hello SheCoders (and future SheCoders!) I just finished my Responsive Portfolio Webpage for the She Codes Responsive Course. I really enjoyed learning how to make a webpage responsive and Im very looking foward to put in practice everything Ive learned so far and keep learning more and more code! :)

Really great workshop. Information is presented very consistently and it is also repeated several times, which is great because you don't always remember it the first time. Matt really has a talent for teaching. In fact I do not remember when I was so excited to learn. Great introduction to check if you like coding.

I enjoyed this workshop and learnt an amazing amount of knowledge in just 3 weeks. It's a great mix of theory and practical hands on learning. The regular challenges and homework were great motivation at staying on track and having access to the slack group was fantastic. I can't wait to start She Codes Plus!

With no previous experience in coding, I found SheCodes and Matt's tutorials very easy to follow. I learn well in a school type environment so the challenges were a lot of fun to navigate and having deadlines made sure that I stayed on track. I definitely recommend SheCodes!

Taking this workshop was interesting. I learned of SheCodes from my sister and her friends, the latter of which is also taking this course. First thing I want to say is it is cool how this website is targeted towards women. This is something that is very rare, so it's nice to see women being able to learn a new skill exclusively. I also like how SheCodes can be used from woman around the world. For myself, I enjoyed the class for the most part. Matt did a good job with his lessons and it was easy to find time for them. I also have found, thanks to SheCodes, that coding can be quite fun since you get to create your own things. You don't need to know design or even math, the latter which is very true, and it's been fun being able to make my own page even if it's a simple style. Overall though I'm glad I took this class and hope to take the others in the near future.

Really enjoyed this course! It was challenging and I honestly felt great even if I didn't fully understand something. I have learned so much and I am looking forward to learning so much more from the other courses.

Thinking about switching professions or only wanting to learn something so complex sounds scary, but Matt and SheCodes do a great job of explaining, providing the tools to learn, and encouraging engagement. Definitely will keep on going. Perhaps one day I'll be THE developer.

I wanted to learn to code after I graduated from high school and found out about Shecodes after my sister introduced me to it. Shecodes has made coding to be fun personally by teaching new things step-by-step and with a supportive community within.

The SheCodes Basic course was an awesome stepping stone to learning the basics of coding. The classes were easy to follow and I feel more confident in my abilities after these 3 weeks. Couldn't recommend this course enough for people who want to start learning how to code!

It was completely new world for me in the beginning, but learning with SheCodes is so easy and so much fun! I enjoyed each and every video and homework.

Learning a new skill is challenging but Shecodes made the whole process easy for me to understand how to code and each lesson included additional resources to help me get a better understanding. The entire website is greatly organized and by the time I had to create my final project I felt confident in my abilities to start it. SheCodes Responsive workshop is now one of my favourites I've participated so far. It was quite challenging but super fun and exiting to follow. I'm not tired to tell how I've became a fan of Matt's teaching skills and all the vibe the lessons give. This course provides tons of information to learn and practice - following with guidance of supporting team - big thanks to them! And the final project - it was very interesting and challenging to create multiple page website that would be fully rensponsive on different devices. I'm looking forward to enroll into React Workshop.

I had never done a coding course before but I absolutely loved this first week with SheCodes. It's been a great experience so far, I feel like I've learned a lot and can't wait to learn more.

The SheCodes Plus workshop is a great experience! I enjoyed building my own project and it was broken down in such a way that made it easy and enjoyable to follow. Even though some parts were difficult, such as learning how to integrate the API, the videos make it easy to follow along and understand.

This course taught how to structure and present web site content so it is organized in a professional way, and can adapt to screen size of the user. It made sure to reinforce the work environment/process system that is mainstream. I liked that we were given multiple opportunities to practice the things we learned to get used to this process. I was actually distracted from the actual building of the final project by the need to generate better quality content for it. That became my main concern.

This basic workshop helped me to learn the firsts steps about coding, Im make myself proud in every challenge and homework successfully completed

This program was much easier to follow along with than previous programs I've tried in the past, and the slack chat is a real help! Keep in mind that you will have to do your own research and problem-solving to finish some of the challenges, and it's not fully comprehensive. The Basics course has helped me a lot, but I certainly don't know everything about JavaScript yet! I look forward to continuing my learning in the other workshops.

This is a great programme for beginners like me with almost zero knowledge about coding. It gives you a great base. You learn the most important things in such simple language; once you try out what you've learned and find out that it works, you're encouraged to keep going. I recommend it without reserve.

I came to SheCodes with some old school coding experience (circa 2009) and I found the basics workshop to be easy to follow and very thorough. Matt encourages the student to research and I think this is such a huge step in any learning process. Will be moving on to PLUS workshop next!

I really wanted to learn a new skill over the summer holidays. I came across the advert on a social platform and instantly signed up out of curiosity. I'm so glad I did because it has kept my brain active over the summer and I have learned many new skills that I could utilise which I am very grateful for. Despite challenging moments there was always an immense amount of support from the Slack SheCodes Team. Matt's teaching techniques are effective as they are conscise, straighforward yet still informative. I appreciate having this oppourtunity very much!
