I really enjoyed the 'Add On' element to the She Codes Basics course. I had a lot of fun learning about all the different functions you can use to make a site more interesting and interactive.

I joined SheCodes feeling quite intimidated by code, but this workshop changed that completely. The lessons are short, clear, and very well structured, and I really like how each concept is followed immediately by a small exercise or project. Building real projects with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (like the landing page with dark/light mode and animations) helped me understand why I was writing each line of code, not just copying it. Matt’s explanations are friendly and motivating, and the platform makes it easy to follow along at my own pace. Thanks to SheCodes, I now feel confident enough to keep learning front-end development and to start showing my projects to others. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants a practical and enjoyable introduction to coding.

Python coding is a great tool to add to my skillset. Hence, I enrolled in this class to learn the basics. At my workplace, I've already started coding small projects (succesfully whoo!), though the basics I learned were far from what I need at my job (btw I need to use pyvisa, panda etc.) I have the basics to get me started, I just need to lookup the proper syntax, some googling and reading scpi commands from the manuals. This is great for beginners and completely digestible! AI tool is great but without knowing the basics, it's like driving an autopilot car without knowing how to drive. Happy coding!

I've completed other coding courses in the past and have learned a great deal, gaining a better understanding of what each component does. So far, I'm happy with joining this boot camp!

It was definetly fun completing this programme , I learned a lot ,i could say CSS Grid was my favourite to learn

I loved completing another project with API integration, this time using AI! I really enjoyed learning about both and bringing them together in one project. I also appreciate the constant revision aspect of these workshops, as well as the opportunity to contribute to a new project each time. Lots of nights going to bed in the am's. I’ve learnt so much, most importantly the program is very rewarding. I have learnt to appreciate and interact with websites differently. The mind is a wonderful tool when exercised, and this section of the program has made me feel like I'm on the right path.

In his book Atomic Habits, author James Clear mentions the research work of psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi on "flow states." The idea is that humans do best when a task is about 4-5% greater than their current abilities, enough to be engaged and prevent boredom but not so challenging that the person gets frustrated and gives up. Matt has a very good intuition for this. Each lesson or challenge contains just enough of an increase in difficulty to build confidence and encourage the student to keep learning.

I really enjoyed this workshop, it was very informative, and interesting. I learned a lot and can’t wait for what's next! 😊

Building the React Weather App was such a fun project! I got to use everything I’ve learned about React — hooks, APIs, and responsive design — and it was so satisfying to see live weather data update in real time. It really boosted my confidence in creating interactive apps from scratch.

My SheCodes journey has truly been life-changing. When I started, I knew very little about coding, but SheCodes gave me the confidence and support to believe that I could build real projects on my own. Really enjoyed this course and building on my skills from SheCodes Basic. I love the teaching method, resources and flexibility of SheCodes, it really suits my learning style and I had to take an unexpected break during this course and it was great to be able to request extensions and pick it back up once I was ready to continue.

Learning basic coding has been an eye-opening experience. It taught me how logic and creativity work together to solve problems and build something from scratch. Even simple projects, like creating a webpage gave me a sense of accomplishment and confidence. Coding has also improved my critical thinking, patience, and attention to detail. These skills that are useful far beyond the computer screen.

With this add-on, you learn to make a responsive project on your own and without the bootstrap system, very interesting to show it this way.

Shecodes approach for teaching coding is tremendous. During learning, we had to do the assignments otherwise we could not jump to the next one. I personally watch only videos instead of practicing which is not a good habit but this method of Matt forces students to practice. I love the everything. The past few weeks on this have been an incredible learning experience! From revising HTML/CSS/JS to diving into APIs and using them to integrate data into the app, the design of this workshop was very helpful. Having the chance to work on the project alongside Matt, who was working on his own, made a huge difference. It helped avoid bugs and provided the benefit of having a (kind of) coding partner. I am amazed at how this learning process has given me the confidence to code an entire website. The last time I did it, I used WordPress, and everything seemed so confusing — doable, but confusing, because I didn’t understand the background of what I was doing. But now, I can build it from scratch and personalize everything I need and want. This is the first step in the creation of my portfolio website and, as an Architect, a step that gives me full freedom to display my Projects in the way I see fit for them. This course completely transformed how I approach web development. The lessons on responsive design were clear, practical, and immediately applicable. I learned how to make webpages look great on any device from desktops to smartphones using flexible layouts, media queries, and modern CSS techniques

Diving into programming languages which included HTML, CSS and JavaScript was mind boggling and a good learning experience. The instructor did not only make it easy to complete lessons and assignments but ensured that support was provided throughout.

Building this World Clock was a great learning experience. Implementing real-time clocks, time zones, and dynamic city selection strengthened my JavaScript and DOM skills.

I’ve been following SheCodes for months, but I was initially skeptical of yet another online course. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Right from the start, you get a solid introduction that sets the tone, followed by a well-structured course with clear, comprehensive explanations and assignments that reinforce what you’ve learned. The homework and final project are especially valuable. They help you apply the know-how in a different context, which really deepens your understanding. It’s fun, engaging, and very focused on quickly enabling users to start building and experimenting. As a Product Owner who casually designs customer journeys, including automated email flows, I can already see how this will support my work.

Python Advance really pushed and challenged me. Having an understanding of Javascript helped but Python language is different. I enjoyed learning how to create plots. Python has endless possibilities.

I learnt a lot this week.

The React workshop was a solid learning experience. I came in with basic front-end skills and left with a much clearer understanding of how React works — from components and props to working with APIs and managing state. The structure of the lessons made it easy to follow, and I appreciated being able to build something real along the way. My weather app project gave me a chance to apply what I learned and add my own design touches, which made the process more engaging. Overall, it was a practical and well-paced introduction to React. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to get hands-on with modern front-end development.

The Basics Add-on workshop was very informative and helps one sharpen their coding skills even more. It's a little advanced compared to the SheCodes basics workshop/course, and the things you learn will allow you to explore the endless creative possibilities coding can offer.

I started SheCodes about a month ago with zero coding experience. The videos and challenges make it really easy to learn. I especially enjoyed the final project for the Basics Workshop because it allowed me to apply all of the concepts I learned.
