SheCodes made coding feel less intimidating and actually fun to learn. I loved how the lessons were broken down into small, practical steps that helped me build real projects and see my progress quickly. As someone coming from a different academic background, it gave me the confidence to explore tech and realize that coding is something I can truly learn and enjoy.

A fun learning project, it took a lot of time with a lot of trail and errors. Sometimes got frustrated because I lost track of what I was coding but then the debugging starts and a lot of research online to find solutions, but I made it with the results I had in Mind.

I enjoyed learning how to integrate another aspect into HTML, CSS & JavaScript. As well as learning how to add a "loading" circle whilst the item was being generated.

Advancing to the next stage has been a meaningful milestone for me. The project gave me the opportunity to turn ideas from my mind into something real through code and explore the creative side of building. It has really increased my confidence in coding and motivated me to keep learning and creating more!

This was a project I have been waiting for. To build my own website and it not disappoint as usual. With completion of each course, I get more and more excited to move forward. Thank you, Matt, for guiding this journey in an organized, informative and really fun way. Always a pleasure to learn from you. ^.^

very practical, very useful to learn all the hard content

Learning with SheCodes has been an amazing experience for me. The lessons are clear, practical and beginner friendly, which made it easy for me to understand coding even without technical background. I enjoyed building my own homework's and seeing my progress step by step.

The step by step lessons are easy to follow and include fun challenges for hands on learning. I really enjoyed this first introduction to coding.

This is an amazing way to learn to code. The teaching is clear, straightforward, and the examples are so helpful. I really appreciate that there is some wiggle room with how you actually write your code. As long as it is valid and adheres to engineering principles, the team gives it a thumbs-up. There's no need to do it exactly like Matt. I'm excited to continue my coding journey with SheCodes.

I recently completed the SheCodes Plus AI workshop and it was an amazing experience. In this workshop, I learned how to work with an AI API to generate dynamic content such as poems, jokes, and other creative text directly in a web application. It was exciting to see how AI can be integrated into projects to create interactive and engaging user experiences. The lessons were clear, practical, and very easy to follow. I really enjoyed building my AI powered project and gaining hands on experience using APIs and JavaScript together. This workshop made learning AI concepts feel approachable and fun. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue learning with SheCodes and I look forward to exploring even more advanced technologies in future workshops. 🚀

I have thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes Basics course. It's been a great introduction and I feel I have learnt a lot more than I thought I would. The course has been easy to follow with everything clearly explained. It's also really easy to track where you are in the course. Projects are also checked quickly once submitted. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to give coding a go, even if you haven't done any before.

This course came at the perfect time. Everything I learned in my previous courses started clicking into place, and the repetition of practicing and replicating real layouts made it stick in a way that just reading never could. I can feel myself getting closer to being a capable junior dev with every project I build.

I am getting back into coding after years of having to stop going to college from how sick I became. The first time I learned about SheCodes, I knew that it was a sign for me to get back into coding. Even though I've been sick through the first week, I did enjoy it and the extension when I needed it. Thank you so much and I can't wait to complete everything from start to end.

I really enjoyed learning more things about coding, but I honestly HATED having to use CodeSandbox because it was slow and it made my laptop slow as well. I also enjoyed doing the weather project, and I would've finished sooner had it not been for JavaScript being so difficult and making me quit every other day. Despite everything, I am happy that I have been able to complete this course, and I can now move onto a new one.

SheCodes is a really amazing site to learn coding and I would recommend to others to try as well

This Responsive Add-on course was a wonderful continuation of the Responsive workshop. It helped me deepen my understanding of how to refine layouts and create more polished responsive pages using CSS Grid and media queries. I particularly enjoyed focusing on the small design details that make a page feel structured and user-friendly across different screen sizes. The final project was especially meaningful for me because it allowed me to create a responsive landing page honouring the ‘Mothers of Technology’ and celebrating the women who helped shape the foundations of our digital world. I also enjoyed integrating elements such as embeds and responsive media into the page while adapting and refining the layout throughout the project. A big thank you to Matt and the SheCodes Team 💜 for another inspiring and rewarding learning experience!

I really enjoyed my experience with SheCodes Plus. Building a weather app throughout the course was both fun and rewarding, and it helped me put my new skills into practice. It was exciting to see how everything came together, from working with APIs to displaying real-time data. Learning advanced JavaScript pushed me to try even more advanced features in my project and experiment with new ideas while developing the weather app. It motivated me to go further with my project and explore what I could build with the tools we learned. Overall, this course gave me the confidence to take my projects to the next level, and I’m proud of what I was able to build.

This workshop made me realize how much I prefer coding with Python. I had a lot of fun learning how to use the language along with AI and what is possible with these tools.

SheCodes completely demystified the world of front-end development for me. The lessons were bite-sized and manageable, making it possible to learn a complex new skill while balancing my daily schedule. I feel empowered to take the next step in my tech journey!

The SheCodes Python Basics course provides a strong foundation for anyone new to programming. The course is organized and presented clearly, making it easy to understand. The step-by-step explanations and exercises helped reinforce each lesson and made the learning process engaging.

Honestly I'm fuming, this entire course is an absolute scam. First of all, the videos are outdated and writing a stupid disclaimer on top of them is not enough; second of all, there is an entire lesson on how to convert the temperature on the nth weather app from celsius to fahrenheit (wasting time by constantly rambling about how you always forget how to spell it) just to tell me to delete that part because you don't want to explain how to extend that conversion to the forecast... Apparently learning how to apply fcking animated icons is more important than learning how to use state management... You literally claim that with the bootcamp you get "the ultimate training in coding to learn everything you need to become a professional developer" but I'm almost done with it and it feels like a total waste of money and time because it's all superficial knowledge at most. However I guess it's my own fault for not doing my research properly

In just four weeks, I’ve gone from having no coding experience to building a full project using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The course is fast paced and packed with valuable content, which makes it both challenging and exciting. What I love most is the hands-on approach, you learn by doing, making mistakes, and improving along the way. It’s incredibly rewarding to see everything come together into a real website. A month ago, I wouldn’t have believed I could do this. This has been such a fun and empowering introduction to coding.

I had very little coding experience; the last time I touched HTML was editing my blog as a teenager. Curious and eager to learn, I joined the SheCodes course. The lessons are easy to follow, and each challenge really helped me understand things better. Learning at my own pace let me go back and re-study anything I didn’t get the first time. I loved every hands-on project, and by the end, I couldn’t believe I had built a fully functional landing page for my favourite Formula 1 team. It was such a confidence boost and made me excited to keep coding!

Learning how to code has completely changed how I see tech. In this course, I not only learned the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but also how to integrate AI into my projects using APIs. Understanding how prompts work, how to handle AI responses, and how to debug real world issues made everything feel practical and powerful. It’s been challenging at times, but incredibly empowering. I’ve absolutely loved my experience with SheCodes so far! I recently completed the Basics Add-On project week, and it was such a rewarding challenge. The lessons are broken down in a way that makes coding feel approachable and manageable, even when you're learning something completely new. The project week really helped solidify what I’d learned. It pushed me to apply my knowledge in a practical way, which boosted my confidence so much. I now feel more comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I can actually see how everything connects together. What I appreciate most is how supportive and well-structured the course is. The explanations are clear, the challenges are engaging, and completing each task feels like a real accomplishment. I’m genuinely excited to keep progressing and can’t wait to see how much more I’ll grow throughout the rest of the course! 10/10 recommend this to whoever is wondering if it is worth it!

The SheCodes Responsive course was a turning point for me. Something clicked when I stopped just following along with the professor's code and started building my own project with my own creative choices. Every time I ran into a problem and had to figure it out myself, I actually retained it. I came out of this course feeling like a developer with my own style, not just someone who can copy and paste. If you're on the fence, just know that the real learning happens when you start making it your own.

i loved every second of it. It is user friendly, very easy to understand and the challenges and homework after each video makes it easier to practice and understand what we are learning.

The Workshop continues to be a life changing process with the highs and lows, this one has been challenging but with determination it is doable. Thank you very much for this great learning opportunity again

This workshop was so fun and i really learned lots! Working with API can be tricky, but it was so interesting once i got the hang of it. It is such a cool thing to be able to connect with the world through programs like we do today, so im grateful to this course for teaching me more about it.

This AI workshop has been a game changer — I’ve learned so much and gained the confidence to build real, AI-powered projects from scratch.

I didn't just learn to code with SheCodes. I discovered that the poet in me and the developer in me were always the same person. I came in as a published author and founder with zero formal tech training. I'm leaving as a full-stack developer who has built a weather app that maps emotions to healing rituals, an accessibility platform, a K53 practice app for South Africans, and a live portfolio that international companies are already noticing. SheCodes didn't teach me to think like a developer ... it gave me the tools to build the worlds I was already imagining. For every African woman who thinks tech isn't for her: it is and SheCodes is where you prove it to yourself.

This gardening project helped me practice CSS Grid, background styling, and transform effects. I also added a dark/light theme toggle with JavaScript. The real images made it personal and meaningful. I learned how to keep images the same size and improve my layout skills.

If you’re starting from zero, SheCodes is an amazing first step. The format makes learning feel manageable and structured.

It’s amazing how much I’ve learned in just three weeks. The lessons demystify coding and make it feel approachable, even for a complete beginner. I’m so glad I decided to start my programming journey, it’s never too late! Matt structures the course in a way that builds on the skills and knowledge you already have, allowing you to combine everything and create your own project by the end. Of course, it can be challenging at times, but that’s all part of learning something new. Over the past three weeks, I’ve had so much fun exploring HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There’s still so much more to learn, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next. Overall, these three weeks have been an incredible experience, and I’ve gained so much knowledge.

I found this to be one of if not the most helpful part of SheCodes, helping us learn how to break into the field. I now have a portfolio site, updated resume, updated LinkedIn, etc. as I begin my job search.
