I learned so much in the SheCodes Responsive class, and I really appreciate how clearly Matt explains every concept. He breaks things down in a way that makes even the more challenging topics feel approachable and manageable. The lessons are well-structured, the projects are practical, and each module builds naturally on the last. I also loved how hands-on the class is; every assignment gives you a chance to apply what you’ve learned, so you’re not just watching tutorials but actually creating real, responsive designs. Certainly, this has been the biggest challenge on this bootcamp. Coding with React has shown me that it is possible to do everything that I had already learned in a more practical way, wich doesn't mean that it was easier to grasp the language's logic. Nonetheless, I truly enjoyed this process and I am also so happy to be getting nearer to the end point of this bootcamp. Once again, thank you, Matt!

Hands down one of my favourite workshops. The workshops have been arranged so that you can get to this point. If you were to start here without any background in coding you would feel like you were on a different plane. Everything that we were taught from the beginning with HTML, CSS, Javascript embedded code from Google Fonts and Font Awesome set us up to be able to understand how to use Bootstrap, Responsive as well as other platforms. I am so very proud of myself and all that I have accomplished so far. A huge thank you to Matt and the team. I am nearing the end of my SheCodes journey as a student and will soon hopefully start a chapter as a Junior Developer. I feel confident, hopeful and excited to enter it and it's all because of these fantastic workshops. To other students out there, I don’t know where you may be on your learning journey whether you are a student or thinking about becoming one. I want to encourage you to start or continue on this path. It’s not easy but step-by-step, little by little you will get there. There’s a great team and other students here to cheer you on.

I have finally completed the SheCodes Plus Workshop. These past few weeks have been a bit challenging, balancing between school work and the program. I am glad that my hard work did pay, with late nights trying to meet weekly deadlines. I also love what I created in my final project, a weather app with a search engine that displays the weather conditions of the city searched, as well as the city's 5-day weather forecast. I got to polish my JavaScript skills with the help of the weekly lessons and homeworks given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

I have completed the SheCodes Plus AI Workshop, and I’m honestly so proud of the progress I've made. I managed to finish everything within the two weeks given, and the experience was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. My final project involved building a form that, when searched, generates a Kenyan cuisine recipe using JavaScript's responsiveness. Improving my JavaScript skills and building something that felt meaningful really boosted my confidence as a developer. I am really proud of what I've created through the lessons given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

On somedays I have been hooked on to solving challenges and do my homework. I took this starter class as part of my professional development as a brand manager. I have dabbled very lightly in HTML and a little bit of CSS in the past but nothing too in-depth. I, like many other students, found the course structure very helpful! With as complex a topic as this, Matt does an excellent job of breaking down the different skills in very digestible chunks. The lesson videos are never more than 10 minutes or so, and he provides so many resources to find help, connect with other students, or learn the basic tools that are industry standards. The way he walked through each video was also very encouraging and I never felt dumb. I honestly found the course not too challenging (not to say I didn't get slightly held up at points) which I think is a testament to how well taught it is. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!

This week’s workshop/project around building a World Clock was by far the most challenging for me. In his book Atomic Habits, author James Clear mentions the research work of psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi on "flow states." The idea is that humans do best when a task is about 4-5% greater than their current abilities, enough to be engaged and prevent boredom but not so challenging that the person gets frustrated and gives up. Matt has a very good intuition for this. Each lesson or challenge contains just enough of an increase in difficulty to build confidence and encourage the student to keep learning.

The past few weeks on this have been an incredible learning experience! This project was so hard to build, it had a lot of complex functionalities that needed to be added. I spent a lot of hours doing trial and error, but it was worth it in the end and my project is up and running now ! Thanks to SheCodes and Matt for this learning opportunity.

I have learnt a lot whilst juggling so much. But the most important thing, is to keep going no matter what you're feeling because you'll never know what awaits you on the other side. Code your way to the top, and ignore the noise.

This was a tough one! My first project using React application. Very challenging but a lot of fun! Matt, allowed us to figure things out ourselves at the same time guiding us through the entire project. He is an excellent teacher. Very excited to continue with more coding adventures! ^_^

In this workshop, i learnt about how to make my own AI generator where i find it very interesting and fulfilling . I learnt a lot and it can get a bit challenging at times but Matt's step by step guide and explanation is really helpful. I am looking forward for the next workshop!

The bootcamp has been the most understandable and helpful out of all i have gone through. In the summary of the workshop Matt said, ‘If you feel frustrated, take a break and come back.’ and I took many breaks, ‘If you run out of inspiration, take a walk and come back.’ and I took many runs, and I came back. This project was very challenging, design is not my strongest suit, and positioning is my nemesis. Facing both demons at once tested my patience and grit. I’m not sure how I feel about my final design yet, but I am proud that I finished it. Maybe with more practice and experience, I’ll create something with more polish, but for now, completing it feels like sweet victory.

I just completed the SheCodes Basic Coding Course and honestly, I loved it!👌🏼 The course was designed for absolute beginners and ran over three weeks. It gave me a solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while introducing me to VS Code in a hands-on way. The platform was super user-friendly, and Matt Delac is an exceptional teacher. His approach made coding feel less intimidating and more like solving creative puzzles .I enjoyed the balance between learning core concepts and exploring my own solutions. I learned alot in this workshop. I tried to learn react in other platforms. But I am admitting that this workshop was the most intuitive and it had easy to understand flow. I learned about SheCodes when someone in one of my WhatsApp groups shared a post about a coding workshop for women in development. Although I faced challenges such as limited study time, I requested deadline extensions for homework and, later, for the workshop itself. Despite these obstacles, I completed the Basic Workshop. The video lessons were easy to learn and engaging, making me glad I registered for the workshop. Building this project was quite interesting, especially when I had to integrate the API, it was a bit intense and tricky still. Adding some user experience was also a bit of a challenge, but what matters is that I did it and completed a big project using AI!

I won't lie - this workshop was intense! As someone transitioning into tech at a later stage in life, I'll admit there were moments when I questioned if I was in over my head. This workshop covered a lot of ground quickly, which was overwhelming. Taking the 3-week SheCodes Basics Workshop has been such an amazing experience! Python was a lot tougher compared to JavaScript, and I still had a blast learning this new language. I definitely will continue to practice more, as I see the value. Matt was a great teacher, and I appreciated his transparency when he would Google things. Google is a great tool, and something I relied on heavily this go round

It was a course where we put into practice not only the knowledge gained in this course, but also throughout the bootcamp. It was very interesting to learn new techniques and logic that Matt mentioned throughout the videos.
