I really enjoyed SheCodes Basics! I have wanted to learn how to code for quite a long time. A couple of years ago, I tried learning using free online resources but I found it challenging and gave up eventually. When I attended the Free Coding Class and Matt explained about the course and the process of SheCodes, I decided to go for it. I am so glad I did because I ended up loving it! The class is so well structured and easy to follow. What I also loved was the help you can get from the SheCodes team. When I was stuck with a challenge, they responded to my question really quickly! Thank you, SheCodes team and I am looking forward to starting SheCodes Plus!

This course helped me refresh my very much crusty HTML/CSS knowledge and Javascript is very easy to learn for beginners!
Changing website themes, background images and image transitions were great skills to learn as I've seen them on some cool websites, and it's nice to be able to do for myself. Great, short class!

Coding look so intimidating and complicated but Matt made it look like a breeze. For a new beginner in coding, SheCodes took me to a world that can be broken down into smaller pieces and be better digested in understanding it. I love the vibe that SheCodes(slack) have with the use of emojis. It caries over a kindness and friendliness, of which they truly have when you are stuck in your coding. They are an amazing team and I highly recommend them.
SheCodes Basics provided informative and well structured modules that made it easy as a first step into coding.
I have learnt some useful coding skills from zero experience and allowed to see if I am enjoying in this space in the future. It has been a fun project to work on.

SheCodes has been a great starting point for me to learn the very basics. It was easy to understand and there were lots of great resources linked throughout that I will continue to use. The projects were simple for a beginner and also allowed for more creativity if you did a little extra research or jumped in and had a bit of fun!
This was a great addition to the Basics classes that helped consolidate and improve techniques to build a functional website.
I really liked this extra project for responsive websites without using bootstrap. It's always good to know how to do this without extra tools for when it's necessary!

What an enjoyable experience! π As a graphic/website designer I knew the very basics and have "winged" my way up until this point on my own website and learning along the way for client work. I still learnt SO much during this basics course that has given me complete clarity and understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and more confidence in my abilities and work. The classes are super easy to follow and the projects are really satisfying as you can (literally) see the results of your hard work. This was a great starting point for me to discover if I could "code". I loved the way the lessons built on from one another in a logical sequence allowing me to build my knowledge in a way that wasn't overwhelming which kept me engaged & eager to move on to the next topic.

SheCodes is a great way to get started with code! The lessons are very clear and concise, and probably the best approach to learning - I have tried self learning through other sites but nothing has come close to SheCodes.
I loooved doing this course! Above all, I really like the way Matt teaches - I think great and passionate teachers make a world of difference. I always liked the idea of coding and wanted to find out if I liked it and if it suited me. For me, this was a great introduction into a new world for which I now want to create space in my life to further explore. I'm inspired - Thank You so much! I also appreciated the supportive community and the generous and accessible resources. This might have been the first time in all my studies - that I remembered to enjoy the process of learning for the whole journey π and that's a really cool space to be in! Great option to learn the basics of CSS, HTML and Jacascript! Useful to have weekly lessons and homework each week to keep motivated and on track.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has ever been thinking about learning how to code. Easy to follow step-by-step instructions that make the process of learning something that was very new to me less daunting and actually achievable. I really enjoyed it!

The basics course is a great way to dip your toe in and see if coding is something you're suited to and/or would enjoy doing more of. I found the course very user friendly and appreciated the bite sized lessons which meant I could do a little or a lot at a time according to my schedule (as long as I met the deadlines).

I've recently started this course and thought I'd struggle with two young kids and a full time job, but the content is in bite-sized manageable pieces so I can squeeze in half an hour when I need to. The content is also easy to follow with good challenges at the end to test your knowledge and really help commit the content to memory.
As someone who had never been exposed to the world of coding prior to taking the SheCodes Basics course, I can definitely say that it was a great introduction to the world of coding. It has now given me the confidence to continue on this coding journey. Amazing! π€©
