Great introduction to coding!

This is a well directed course that provides a great step up from basic html, CSS and JS and leaves you with a functional basic weather app that can be extended with the skills you gained along the way.

I will definitely recommend SheCodes to my friends! I was afraid of learning coding since I am not very good with computers. But SheCodes class was easy and for beginner to follow.

Great course for beginners like me! I started from cero, it was very easy to follow and each unit keeps you always motivated! I'm excited to keep going with the Plus :)

Blessing and a curse. Working through the programme is rewarding and challenging. Then you go back out on to the internet and see just how terrible things are out there. Proceed with caution, coding powers should not be taken lightly. Also loved this so much, I nearly paid to do it twice 🤦‍♀️

I really enjoyed my SheCodes basic course. As a UX designer, it is important to understand how things get built when designing.

SheCodes is a very helpful resource in learning how to code. I usually can never follow through with online classes as I easily am bored. With SheCodes, the structure of the classes allow just enough time for me to learn without losing interest. Weekly homework challenges are also very helpful in keeping me on top of my studies. I look forward to my future workshops with SheCodes!

I like being able to do challenges, homework, and a project throughout the duration of the course.

Best decision I ever made, I have to be honest I did not think I was remotely smart enough to do this and when I signed up I was really nervous, however this was amazingly challenging and well thought out, each lesson leads well into the next one without over whelming. Sometimes you can get confused but with all the resources to help you figure it out, makes it easy to get back on track! Really enjoyed it!

Really loved SheCodes Basics! I learnt so much and I can't wait to advance my coding skills with the more advanced workshops.

100% recommend this course to anyone who is new to coding. Coding may seem intimidating but Matt breaks these classes down into short videos so it is easy to understand. Whenever I had any problems, Matt and his team answered my queries within 2 hours. I love the fact that after each tutorial video, there is a challenge to work on to ensure that we've understood the lesson. The project was pretty tedious for me but was definitely a fun experience!

I was quite hesitant before signing up because I didn't think I would be able to learn how to code. But the lessons are very well designed: the videos are short which makes it accessible, the exercises are fun but difficult enough to make it challenging and there is constant interaction with the SheCodes team 👩‍💻 in case you have questions. Also, since English is not my native language, I was afraid that learning to code would be a double challenge for me. But Matt speaks slowly and is super clear, plus there are tools like Close Caption to help those who have English as their second or third language. I highly recommend it; this course proves that we can all code 💪🏽💪🏽.

The courses were easy to follow and gave a great introduction to coding.

This workshop was definitely challenging and it required a lot more that 5 hours a week some weeks but in saying that I made it! And I am so excited with what I have learnt and achieved in such a short period. Going from having zero knowledge from a development stand point to being able to create a fully functional weather app with an API linked in is very exciting. The knowledge that I have gained through Matt and the team is already being applied in my job as a health application specialist and it has elevated my testing and ability to trouble shoot.

After completing my second workshop with SheCodes I feel like my coding journey is really on the right track. This course was difficult but so rewarding when everything starts to work! I can't wait to start the next course and further my knowledge.

Fab wee intro course, covered a lot of content and was great reproducing the things we learned to put it into practice.

Learnt a lot of new things during this course! I wish week 4 went into a bit more depth as I felt a bit lost moving on from this week. Support team were really helpful and got there in the end 😊

I cannot believe how much I have learned already with SheCodes, we progress at such a rapid but manageable pace it certainly keeps you engaged and motivated. The practicality of the course is a real differentiator too - I have been studying with other programs (unstructured) for months but have never done such practical work.

This was a really fun challenge and I can't wait to start the SheCodes Plus lessons!

I can't recommend SheCodes highly enough! I had so much fun making this weather app, it was the perfect balance of challenging and rewarding. Didn't think I would enjoy spending evenings after work plugging away on VScode so much! The videos and homework assignments from Matt and the support provided by the SheCodes team was so helpful in getting my head around the coding fundamentals, I don't think I would have made it this far without it!

I had already done several online courses for coding before trying this one, but this one was well designed in terms of being user-friendly with helpful challenges for each lesson that consolidated the learning, and helped me feel more confident in my knowledge and skills. The course overall was lots of fun and feedback was very prompt!

This course has been so interesting, challenging and a lot of fun. It's frustrating at times but the best feeling when you finally figure out what is going wrong. I love the way the course is organised and that you can always refer back to previous videos. Couldn't recommend this course enough for anyone interested in starting out in coding :)

Learning how to build this app step by step with someone explaining each step was reassuring and helpful. There is enough material to guide you but there is also a lot to work out for yourself, which is a challenge and keeps it interesting.

Delivery style of the course allowed me to engage with the education material in a way that worked for me. Matt (CEO & Course deliverer) has a very relatable approach to coding and challenges everyone to search for their own answers to get to the same outcome. SheCodes is one of the best online learning experiences I've had from both a content and engagement perspective. Super flexible and accommodating.

I've always been interested in coding so I decided to give it a go and I don't regret this decision. This course is so much fun! I was nervous to start but once I got in I couldn't stop, especially when working on the final project.

This is definitely a step up compared to SheCodes Basic, there are far more advanced codes to learn but Matt made sure that it is easy to follow so we can build a functioning weather app.

Matt was a great teacher and explained everything so clearly, as a complete beginner I feel like I have walked away with a much firmer grasp on the basics of coding, I didn't know what to expect andI really enjoyed it!

SheCodes has been a great starting point for learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I was exposed to HTML and CSS through University which sparked my interest but there was a lot of assumed knowledge and I found myself scraping all sorts of things together for my assessments. I wish I’d found SheCodes earlier as I have a great basic understanding of these languages now. Matts videos are easy to listen to and understand and the tasks are just challenging enough but not overwhelming. Matts teaching style makes me excited to continue to learn more 😊

SheCodes basics was a great introduction to coding. It was easy to follow and understand even for someone who had ZERO clue what they were doing. I am definitely eager to learn more and jump into the advanced classes and hopefully progress to a career change!!

SheCodes is amazing! The fact that I was able to build a simple website with html, CSS and JavaScript in just under 3 weeks just shows how good the lessons were. Step by step with enough guidance to help you get there but still build skills to answer your own questions. Brilliant.

Going into this course, I knew nothing about coding. Now, however, I can confidently say I know enough to keep an interest in the subject, and to find it fun too!

I have dabbled in teaching myself HTML and CSS in the past, but I have NEVER learned as much about them as I have in this course.
