Studying with SheCodes has been an incredible journey for me. Before this, I had no idea how empowering and creative coding could be. This course is perfect for professionals or full-time students with a busy schedule who need to go at their own pace. As a busy lawyer I thought it would be next to impossible to learn how to code on my own but the short pre-recorded lessons, fun challenges, and the quick responses from the Team Leads on Slack made it so much easier. I am thinking of doing the She Plus Codes Plus Course after completing the Basics course because I am so much more confident.
A joyful and non-intimidating workshop to learn the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The final project was really fun and I found myself keep wanting to improve on what I could do with the code.
When we started working on a Weather app during week one of SheCodes plus, the task seemed very intimidating. Especially the requirement to incorporate real time data. Matt did an excellent job breaking down the daunting task into comprehensible lessons. At the end of the course, my Weather app project no longer felt intimidating rather, it was quite fun to work with. It felt easy enough to work on, that I challenged myself to build two additional themes for the app. I love the challenges at the end of most lessons, testing frequently is one of the best ways to retain and recall new information. The SheCodes Basics Add-on videos are straightforward to understand. The concepts are easier to grasp than reading the concepts in a book or watching videos on YouTube. The learning is more streamlined.

I learned about the opportunity to study web development through a special aid program offered by the Delac Foundation via the KuΓ±aTech Instagram account, a Paraguayan organization where my compatriots aim to provide development opportunities for women in the tech field. I eagerly shared this great opportunity with other women, friends, and university classmates whom I deeply care for. Through scholarships, I am fortunate enough to have knowledge of English, which encouraged me to apply. Despite the demanding nature of my university studies, I managed to complete this first course with valuable knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which also helped me in a university subject, Software Engineering II. SheCodes classes are excellent; the videos are not too long, and the instructor explains very well. He explains concepts that can be complex in a very simple way, making them easier to understand. Additionally, his English is very clear, making it easy to follow his explanations. The deadline extensions were also a big help, as some weeks are busier than others, which sometimes made it difficult for me to focus on the course. On the other hand, I absolutely loved how everything is personalized for women, and the gender focus provided for the course has been a great source of motivation for me. Everything looks pretty and aesthetically pleasing. Another aspect I really enjoyed was learning by creating parts of a project and finishing the course by building my own project. The community is wonderful, and the tools SheCodes provides to its students are incredibly useful. I am very, very, very grateful for this amazing opportunity, and I am excited for the upcoming workshops β€οΈπ
I've bought the basic workshop a long time ago but I've always been scared to not be able to go through it and understand. Fortunately, It's well explain and structured, even when it can be challenging at times, there's so much ressources on this website and online to help. I love the fact that there's no pressure and I can learn at my own pace, I can put in practice what I've learn right away and see where I have difficulties. Good job SheCodes! π

I enrolled in the SheCodes Web Development Basics course over a year ago, and after some procrastination, I finally completed it. Despite being a basic course, it taught me a lot, especially in terms of coding and testing a webpage simultaneously. The course structure is incredibly well-organized, making it the best online teaching experience I've encountered so far. Each component is followed by a challenge, which really helps reinforce what you've just learned. As a Computer Engineering student, I found the teacher to be exceptional at explaining concepts clearly, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone new to programming. It's a fantastic starting point for beginners. I also appreciated that the teacher shared some additional industry-relevant insights, even though they weren't part of the certificate level. This gives students a head start if they want to dive deeper into web development. Even though it covers just the basics, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and am excited to pursue higher-level certificates on the platform.

I initially signed up in 2023 to complete SheCodes course Package, but due to personal reasons, I wasn't able to do so, but I love the fact that I was able to pick up from where I left off. all the lessons are well taught and easy to understand. Learned so much
It was a hard couple of weeks of learning (in my opinion as the module is densed and packed of learnings) but I wouldn't have gone through it without Shecode's slack support team that really helped me figure out where I did wrong on my homework or when I just don't understand anything at all they're there to help! It was fun and frustrating at the same time but here I am! I did it and I am still pushing on to finish this till the end :)

I am starting off with absolutely no knowledge of coding whatsoever, coming into this I did a TON of research on courses, what's best to take, and why it's better than the others when I fell upon She Codes. The first thing that stood out to me was the free introduction video, I like to know what I am getting into and how the course will benefit me and I have to say the video truly gave me a lot of insight and was what convinced me to finally go for my dream and take that step. It took me over 2 years to begin, and here I am graduating from SheCodes Basic, and I feel like all that research and work is paying off. I learned basic skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript and I feel that I am ready to move onto the next phase in order to work towards my goal of working as a full stack developer.

I am always amazed at how much I have progressed and learned by the end of each workshop and it is also true for the responsive workshop. The responsive workshop is by far my favourite one, we got to learn about media queries, and CSS variables, and also build on the learning from previous workshops. Matt's explanation for each new information we are learning is easy to understand and follow as well as how the learning can be applied in different ways.
I enjoyed the initial SheCodes workshop and feel like I learned a lot in a relatively short amount of time. I'll see how I do with SheCodes Plus!
